After having my clothes destroyed at the cleaners in the Safeway/NP Vistas building on Bay, I was happy to find Five Star Cleaners. I brought in some fine sweaters that I was hesitant to have drycleaned. I asked the lady who was working the day I brought my clothes in if they could be «extra gentle» with my garments and she assured me they would be taken care of. When I came to pick up my clothes she was there again and remembered me and mentioned how she had made sure to be extra gentle with everything. My sweaters were neatly folded and hung up and looked as good as new. I would trust Five Star Cleaners with all of my clothing. Great customer service and exceeded my expectations.

If you like your clothes, do not use Five Star Cleaners. They lost a dress of mine in September. It’s January and they still will not give me the replacement value. I left several unreturned messages for months. Finally after stopping by yet again I got the«new owner» on the phone and he seemed eager to help. Unfortunately, he directed me to the old owner but stated he can’t give me his contact information. I seriously can not believe I have to go to small claims court for this.

Personal service with a smile and great quality work. Only gripe is that it’s slightly more then I’d like to pay for my dry cleaning, but even so it’s a good value for the consistent quality and pleasant experience.

I’ve been living all over the US the past few years and have had more than a few run-ins with bad dry cleaners– this is not in that category. The service is fantastic, the price is great, and it is very nice inside. I have a bunch of shirts that look similar to one another and there are a few oddballs with special care instructions– they always get it right. Highly recommended.

In a city with plenty of overpriced dry cleaners(depending on the neighborhood you live in), it’s nice to have a local dry cleaner that does a great job for cheap. The lady behind the counter and I don’t even exchange tickets anymore, since she has remembered who I am since the first visit, even when I come infrequently. I also stop by here for any stitching or patching I need done. The patchwork and the dry cleaning is always quality, and you can’t argue with the aforementioned prices. Give it a try and you will be happy you did

I went there with a coat that was leather and material. I used a Groupon that was $ 30 for a value of $ 70. because of the leather, I had to paid the entire Groupon to clean the jacket that had food stains but nothing difficult such has heavy grease, spaghetti sauce or wine. Retail value of this cleaning is $ 59.99. My Groupon cost $ 30. The jacket came back the first time as if they never touched the food stains, the second time it came back 10% better but still not wearable. The nice lady behind the counter said«it is the best we can do, you should be happy with our best.» Then when I protested she said«the only way to ensure no stains is to not spill anything»…I think she was jokeing which was nice When we agreed that I would get half my money back, she said that because it was a Groupon I already paid half price we were even. She is misunderstanding the purpose of the Groupon. This is my second bad Groupon experience so I will be more careful about what I buy in the future and I will definitely not be returning to this dry cleaner. The stains on my jacket were not difficult to clean. their best is not good. Sorry

What sets this company apart as a business is their friendly staff. They get the job done with a smile and friendly demeanor. I helped set them up on Unilocal just to review them.
