Funday Sunday at the 26th Fiesta On The Hill, located at the center of Bernal Heights neighborhood(Cortland & Andover). The purpose of this Fiesta was to encourage ethnic cultural diversity, and to preserve affordable housing within the community, with the backbone support of the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, BHNC. There were plenty of diverse vendors who participated with today’s events, and food trucks that would satisfy even one with the most extensive palate. There were also a miniature amusement rides for kids, dog rescue with hands on petting, and I even got an opportunity to go inside a cute, «Airstream» trailer. I’ve always wanted to own one, and I probably will during my retirement at some distant future. LOL! All in all, it was a fun Sunday, and it was nice to see everyone especially the residents of Bernal Heights, enjoying their neighborhood festival. Until then, see you next year. Cheers! :p

From vendor perspective, this event should be put in the bottom of your list events you are going to attend yearly. What? Fiesta on the hill on bernal heights neighborhood. Who? A lot of attendees around neighborhood and other neighborhoods nearby. Why? People just look around and do not buy your merchandise. A lot of empty spaces as vendors are pulling away from the event. Vendors… stay away!

Jeez, I wished for the sun and had only rain, but this event went off well with live music and great eats. I’m biased for anything in my hood and feel this was a great event.

This has to be the lamest street fair in San Francisco — the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Assoc. should be ashamed of this event. Bernal Heights is a great area with a with a wealth of diverse stores just waiting to be discovered — however this street fair is a flea market full of cheap Chinese made junk — the«children’s petting zoo» needs to be investigated for animal cruelty. The Bernal Heights Neighborhood Assoc, might take a look at the Noe Valley Fall festival or The Heart of Cole to see how a great street fair is run — you look after your artists and actively promote their presence — filling a fair up with replacement window sales people and other BS(because they will pay more) makes a fair look«cheap and nasty» — this is not what Bernal Heights is and their fair should reflect this.
