Tanya gave me a beautiful face & Dug gave me a perfect style for a big audition. I believe they both deserve credit for my booking the role. Not only did Dug boost my hair bounce, shine & style, but he also boosted my self confidence, giving me breathing tips to relax & saying he knew I had the part!

Helen does a variety of male style haircuts very well and she does it *fast* and «on point»!
I got my eyebrows waxed here in the past and they were definitely «on fleek» when I walked out (not pictured here, just the haircut!)
They also have wedding services such as bridal makeup and hair — I might have set something up for my own wedding upcoming. I’ve heard a lot of great things!

Nick and his team came out on Saturday to do hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party. They were on time (awesome!!), got us out the door on time (even better!!), and did an amazing job.
Not only that, but Nick consistently responded to emails in a timely manner and their rates were totally reasonable (which I can’t say for a LOT of the hair and makeup teams in the area).

Everyone is really friendly and skilled. I started seeing Helen this year for my hair. She does an incredible pixie cut, but also did this amazing cut to keep my hair looking cute while growing it out. I love this place!

About 3.5 years ago I moved into the Castro neighborhood and tried several salons searching for a good stylist. I’m so glad I found this salon. Helen is one of the best and certainly my favorite hair stylist I know in the bay area (lived in sunnyvale/​alameda/​campbell/​sf).
Over the last 3 years she is very consistent, versatile, and edgy when it comes to hairstyles. I can tell (compared to other stylists) that she tailors the cut to your face-​shape and head-​shape. I’ve done james dean coifs, pompadours, bieber bangs, asymmetric side-​parts, wavey fringes, and now recently a high-​fade cut. I get compliments on my style, especially my recent cut being the most dramatic.
I haven’t had her color services yet, but judging from her coworker Fuscia’s ever changing hair color (platinum, blue, green, purple, pink…) I’m willing to bet she’s an expert at that too. PS Fuscia is an amazing consultant when it comes to choosing the right tools and products for hair ;)

Darryl does an amazing facial! It’s the best facial I’ve ever had, at very reasonable prices. I also have had Darryl tint my eyelashes for years. No one does it better! He’s a master at all he does!

Darryl is fantastic. You will be blessed by his considered and careful treatment. He is truly a master of his craft. If you have skin damage or any kind or a tough season of breakouts or problems he is your man.

So many great things to say about this salon and spa. Every time I call on short notice they manage to get me in no problem. Darryl is a master esthetician who takes time to understand the condition of your skin and what is needed to restore it’s health. After traveling non stop, I came to him with horrible breakouts and a peeling sunburn on my face — with his expert treatment and great advice for appropriate products for my skin, I looked and felt 100% better in a matter of days. He even went above and beyond and texted me to remind me how to take care of my skin with m newly purchased toner and moisturizer. I have been going back to see I’m and have left so pleased every time. You definitely won’t regret seeing him if your skin needs work.

I have had my haircut by Helen for the past 26 years! I was so happy when she purchased Face It a few years ago as it was much more convenient than going to her other store. Face It is easily accessible by public transportation, so there is really no need to worry about parking.
Helen is the ultimate pro when it comes to haircuts! She shapes the haircut to your head. She knows where to cut and how much to cut, which results in a terrific-​looking haircut. For me, her haircuts last 7 weeks before I get it cut again. I’ve been on this 7 week cycle for two decades. If I have to extend a week, because Helen takes a vacation, no problem! The hair may be long, but still looks good!
I can’t vouch for any of the other employees, but I recommend Helen highly. I’ve been her loyal customer for over two decades, and hope to continue for many more to come!

I HIGHLY recommend Darryl, I have seen him for facials for the past two years and trust no one else with my skin. I have bumpy acne and he is amazing at making my skin clear without post-​facial breakout! He’s the best around!!! He is one if the nicest people you’ll meet and genuinely wants to help you and your skin.

This was my first time trying Face It so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Helen was very friendly and easy to talk to. More importantly, she gave me the best eyebrow waxing I’ve ever had, even with my vague descriptions of what I wanted. My face looks great and my self-​esteem is through the roof ^^

The only place in San Francisco I’ll go for a bang trim. Have been for three years. I’ve gotten my bangs trimmed in Colombia, England, Italy, and Latvia. Still number one! Great place.

This place is Overpriced compared to salons nearby. The board near the window says the price of the service but it’s misleading. I was charged way more than I expected. I would have said something but I’d rather just not come back at all. Totally not worth it.

I adore Helen and Face It Salon. Helen is a waxing genius, and one of the sweetest people on earth. She introduced me to my favorite under-​eye cream as well, and I trust her with any skincare questions that I have. I also like that they offer you tea or water when you arrive, and they offer such a wide range of amazing hair and skincare products. Such an awesome, welcoming place!

I’ve only been here for their eyebrow waxing services; I’m a huge fan of Helen. I’ve got blonde eyebrows with hard-​to-​see hairs, Helen is very meticulous in a great way. Unlike some other places (*cough* *cough* Benefit’s Brow Bar *cough* *cough*), she doesn’t rely on trimming to get your shape. Trimming is a lazy way to give you half a solution, since it’ll grow out of shape MUCH sooner than properly waxing.
Helen waxes and tweezes strays and only does a tiny amount of finishing trimming at the end. She’s also good on shaping brows.
I’ve seen her the last three times I needed my brows done, and I’m sure I’ll continue going – she does a great job!

Very accomodating staff and awesome selection of items to buy and services to choose from. Also they’re very flexible with appointments. Nicky is a fabulous waxer and the owner is very precise about it. The place is clean and neat and not so costly like the salons in downtown.
