Fun, friendly and sexy servers who provide some extra eye-candy. Good food, dog friendly and the jazz trio who plays on Sunday nights is so BOMB! It’s my new little Sunday night haunt.

We had a great time here, the server was knowledgeable and patient and naturally the wine was excellent. Food complimented the wine perfectly and I had a brie cheese bake that was out of this world.

Great live jazz on Sunday nights. This band plays many styles of jazz in a very enjoyable way. The wine list is fab, the tapas is reminiscent of little euro cafes.

Really a 3.5 but bumped it up to a 4. Laid-back intimate atmosphere with friendly servers and decent wine/cheese selection but no real wow factor. They had some charcuterie plates on the menu but none of them really stood out or looked interesting so I passed. We ordered a bottle of Domaine Eric Louis 2013 sauvignon blanc and a bottle of 2013 Roero Arneis which I enjoyed. It’s a nice place to stop by but nothing special

Great gem in the Mission, they have a nice variety of wines as well of food, the environment is great and the service is fantastic, definitely a place to try specially if you are waiting over an hour for any restaurant during the weekend.

Such a great find. The SO and I were in line for another restaurant in the area, so we decided to take a walk around Mission and see what we could find. We stumbled onto this place… actually I’m not really sure why we decided to stop here, but we had an hour to kill and decided that wine definitely couldn’t be the wrong answer. We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday and it was still fairly empty, but by the time we left around 7, there was a short line starting to form. It’s a pretty casual place, and you can just sit and order at any empty table you see. This place is basically a small, cozy wine bar. It’s dark, intimate, has yummy tapas and delicious wine flights to share. The chairs are soft cozy cushions, pretty nice place with a great atmosphere. We got the Spanish wine flight and an empanada to share since we didn’t want to spoil our appetite before our actual dinner. The red wine flight was delicious — it was an interesting blend of Spanish wines that were all a little bit spicy, which added for an interesting kick in flavor. The empanada was also super delicious. Overall, service was attentive in terms of getting our initial order in, but getting someone flagged down to pay the bill was a little more difficult. They get a lot of business so there’s a lot of movement back and forth around the place, but otherwise, delicious food and great wine. I’m looking forward to coming back and having an actual dinner here! tldr; great wine bar, extensive selection of wines and yummy tapas!

We had some time to kill before dinner nearby, no better place than a wine bar :). Etcetera was a nice find, It is small but has a nice neighborhood feel. We were there early and sat in one of the window tables. Servers were friendly and helpful with the wines. They have an extensive list with some producers that were new to us. It was happy hour and Etcetera offer a great deal, an appetizer and a glass of wine(white or red) for 10 bucks. Red and white wine were both good and the stuffed zucchini and hummus & olives were very good. Very relaxing atmosphere, good wine, food and service. What’s not to like :)

Classy, fun, small. Everything I tried was excellent from the wine flight to the seasonal bruschetta. MENUISTOOBIG, ANDTOOHARDTODECIPHERINDIMLIGHTWITH A DRINKINYOURSYSTEM. but ultimately I ordered blind, was happy with what a got and would do it all over again.

Favorite wine bar in the Mission! Came in close to closing, but the server was more than happy to keep the bar open an extra half hour to accommodate us. We were there to celebrate! We told him that we were interested in a bottle of buttery Chardonnay and his recommendation was spot on. I love the interior of this bar. Local artwork that is just gorgeous that you can buy. Also, the selection of wine is extensive and from many different countries.

Girl’s night on a Saturday is the scene. This is a good place to go with a group of stragglers. The seats are low red stools without backs. They are easily moved around from table to table. So, as more of your group shows up, it’s fairly easy to squeeze more of them around the table. The wine list is really a book. A wine book. It’s separated by country and the sheets include«fun facts.» The couple next to us really needed to «get a room» so, yes, I’d say this is a good date spot.

Eclectic wine bar with many varietals from all over the world. The theme of the wine bar is very international, and the theme is replicated in the décor and menu. A very hefty by-the-glass list, and an even heftier by the bottle list. I would subtract a star because the service was pretty hectic and frenzied. It seemed to be a bit short staffed, which had a minimal but definite impact on slowing the service.

Amazing find! This place is super cute with great ambiance. My friend and I sat outside and the waitress(can’t remember her name) was wonderful! She was super helpful when we were being difficult and indecisive, asking her about pretty much everything on the menu — she made our dining experience that much better. She fully explained each wine that we were interested in, gave us additional recommendations, and even let us try the two we were deciding between — great customer service. Can’t remember which one we ordered but it was a white, very light, crisp, and not too sweet. She then went on to fully explain each of the daily tapas and which ones she recommended we try. We ended up ordering the Stuffed Zucchini and the Baked Brie and Dates. Both delicious! The Stuffed Zucchini was stuffed with cheese, tomatoes, and other deliciousness. The Baked Brie and Dates was almost like a dessert pizza. SOGOOD. I ordered a Caprese Pizza on my own for dinner and couldn’t have been happier. It was really thin crust, light & good quality pizza. Exactly what I was in the mood for. Cannot wait to come back again and again.

Stumbled upon this place on Unilocal and I didn’t have too much expectation. The music was great and there were plenty of tables when I got there(around 7). The owner(I believe?) was very helpful and courteous. Great wine. Great service. Great ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!

Lovely place. Great service, just right in the vibrant scene of the mission. We ordered one of their pizzas, and had 2 of their«daily tasting wines». One was really good, the other one was lacking body, it was a young wine which it explains it. As dessert I ordered the sherry(I think it’s something like José Ximenez). Don’t judge me sherry can be considered a dessert! We got a very nice table by the window. We enjoy not only the wines, but also the service. I would definitely come here again to try their tapas!

Do you like a good wine bar? Well, this is a great wine bar. The vibe is casual. The staff are knowledgable & friendly. There’s vino from all over the globe, for all tastes & budgets. The food… Flammekueche anyone? I may not be able to pronounce it, but I can sure eat it. It’s a tarte flambee… like a French pizza. Think savory tart. It has a thin, crispy crust, & there are several toppings to choose from. They’re delicious. There are also several charcuterie & cheese plates to choose from. The whole menu here is a dream for food & wine lovers. The kitchen is open late on weekends. Props. This means you have a classier option for late night munchies on or around Valencia &18th after 11:00. I love a bacon wrapped dog, a slice of Arinell’s, or pretzel bites(monk’s kettle) too, but once in a while you want something more civilized, est-ce pas? The owner, like this establishment, is a gem. Her name is Alexandria, & she’s an absolute doll. When I worked down the street & came here regularly w colleagues after work, she could not have been nicer. It gets crazy busy, making it difficult to navigate seats if you’re w a group, or if you’re only a 2 top. It can also feel cramped & get kinda loud. But if you can make it happen, it’s worth it. Enjoy life. 4& ½ stars.

Amazing happy hour deals!!! House wine + your choice of tapas for only $ 10! I came here with a friend at 5pm after seeing the great Unilocal reviews. The place is adorable with a very cozy feel to it. The wine menu is EXTENSIVE. There is a huge description for every country they sell wines for which I really appreciated! You can read about the kind of grapes each country produces and even a bit of history about how the country started producing wine. Oh and you get 20% off a bottle on Mondays :) We ordered a small charcuterie plate($ 12) and it came with garlic sausage, truffle mouse, coppa, salami, and a bit of pickled veggies. I almost wish the charcuterie plate would come with some cheese(the large charcuterie plate did but we only had two people). I actually enjoyed the tapas more than the charcuterie plate. We got the Jamon Iberico and Smoked Salmon Blinis — both were delicious. I would definitely come back for their happy hour!

Decided to meet a friend at Etcetera Friday night for some Vino. Spent a good 3 hours there and enjoyed a verity of wine and food, I give this place 4 solid stars, here are some more details: — Located on Valencia St & north of 19th. Dare I mention the parking Tabu? Well if you are coming from east bay as I did u need to drive. The parking garage nearby was full at 8:30 pm. Luckily by circling around, and for the first time, I found FREE street parking a few blocks down! Whooowhoo! Etcetera is a Cozy place, but with a great vibe. Has a friendly and excellent service& certainly a great place for brining a date. Upon arrival, I lucked out again and was fortunate to get a table. Maybe I should have gone to Vegas & hit the tables to test my fortune :) The seating unfortunately was the worst part of my experience, my chair or rather my bucket box, was not comfy at all. I was at the first small table after the entrance to the right. Our waiter was on it! He brought our orders promptly & I reflected that in my tip. We ordered Pinot Noir & Petite Syrah. To snack, there was tapas menu as well, ordered bruschetta & cinnamon & cheese pastry. Bruschetta was delicious but The cinnamon cheese pastry was TODIEFOR. OMG. YUM! See photos. Red Vino single glasses were $ 10 – 16. They also had flight options from different geographical worldly locations. Tapas were $ 6 per plate, each good to share for 2 people. Had a great time, will definitely be back.

Love love love. We were wandering around in the mission and I was hankering for some wine(like I’m not always but I digress.) anyhow this place popped up and we decided to swing by. First off– the seating! You can sit outside on the street and people watch, in the cute elevated window area or at a dimly lit table inside. All the options are so cute and romantic! We chose the window seat so we could people watch but not be subject to the elements. If you do choose the outside option, I noticed one of the members of the staff offering blankets to the patrons outside. A really cute and thoughtful touch. The wine list is super robust, so I went with the white flight and was not disappointed. It was a flight of three Italian whites and they were all so fragrant and refreshing! None of them bone dry so the BF liked them as well. Also really loved the stemware– I hate it when I have to drink wine from crappy stemware. The server was very sweet, knowledgable and enthusiastic but poor guy was working the whole place himself! All in all a great place to enjoy some good wine with good company. A must if you’re in the Mission!

It’s time a review for this place gets written — not that we’re regular visitors, but in the past three years, we wine enthusiasts have probably entered Etcetera about five times, more or less. Greatest attributes are twofold: 1) can try wines from far-away lands, and 2) live jazz music performances can accompany any night. Regarding my first point, tonight started with a Spanish flight of pinots, then a glass of Pinotage from South Africa, and finally a glass of Okuzgoku from Turkey. Quite the variety! Also can have various cheese and meat assortments for sides, plus desserts. Two things in the past are detractors: 1) smokers directly outside often can have their smoke trails wafted indoors, and 2) one time, we got slightly overcharged. Can vary any night with the attending crowd, but good overall.

Look, I’m gonna keep it real. It’s really nice and refreshing to enjoy alcoholic libations in a non-divey joint in the Mission. IJS. Interesting French couple owns this joint, and are always happy to recommend wine to please your palate. Grenache and Cote de Rhone action? Yes, you shall find it here. Cozy, yet sexy red vibe dominates the interior. European wines all over that menu. I’ve had the food, and I’m not really a fan, except for the Flammekueche(think French pizza). I had the caprese Flamme, and I literally devoured it all by myself. The other small plates I’ve had here(salad, guacamole) tasted fresh, but were lacking in flavor or just that BAM that you want food to have when it’s accompanying bad*** wine. The wine tho, I’m feelin’ it, and I will be back.
