It gets the job done but I am not sure how it stays in business. They really seem to work hard here, it is common to see someone come through cleaning, The problem is the space itself. It has seen better days. The carpets are worn. The space is painted in dark colors, lots of furniture and different spaces for so few people. There is a chill space downstairs with couches and drinks available. They host lots of events. It has real problems but with patience always seem to have a good time in the end… They try hard and it is clean but SF deserves better but until the laws allow it, this is what you get. At places like this always remember play but It gets the job done but I am not sure how it stays in business.

This is a SF institution. Seriously. These folks are all about safety, sexy, and the community. They have always made me feel comfortable. Very clean. Beautiful steam room. Plenty of supplies.

Although I did have a horrible experience face to face w/The New Owner– At My last Visit… I still Believe It is The Best Club in SF. I even told The Previous Owner Hanns I would compare EROS in SF //To Rate w/The Watergarden in San Jose — It IS The Best All Male Bath House in The World — Hanns was a Good Biss. Man ! I had shared with Hans Years ago — How Highly I Thought of His Club. He was Proud and Gave Me Thanks… If This new owner would Like to discuss the above Bad incident — I am more than happy to do so with Him… So In Closing //I Still Greatly Like EROS(may have been a misunderstanding) Owner Sir You May Respond Here

I always have a good time at Eros — eventually. You may need to wait it out a bit to find the right connection for you, but patience can pay off. The staff is really friendly, and their customer service is great. I was there recently and mentioned it was really bright in the steam room(they had recently replaced the bulbs). Rather than dismiss me, the manager on duty at the time spoke with me and said they would be getting different bulbs — they just couldn’t do it while they were open. On my way out, they gave me a discount entry card for my next visit — which was unexpected. I like that they went that extra step with their customer service.

I’ve asked the staff a few times why they can’t spruce up the place and I haven’t really gotten a real answer. The 90’s sponge paint job has got to go! Also, a friend from out of town went and his friend who worked there advised him to wear sandals because«we don’t clean too much». The place needs to be steam cleaned and spruced up for sure. I’ve had ALOT of fun here otherwise I’d only give two stars.

I’ve been frequenting this place for about a year now… Overall it’s pretty awesome. Here’s my general experience when I visit. First off it felt a little weird to get the courage to go in the first few times… It’s discrete outside appearance is welcoming, yet I still wonder what people think when I enter. Upon entering I’m greeted by super friendly, and can I say HOT staff. The first time I entered they very clearly went over the rules. Rules are also clearly posted on the wall. They are consistent with newbies and rules as I sometimes have to wait while the staff answers questions and such. The price is very reasonable. Although at first confusing I learned to just show them my card and pay whatever… It’s like 4 – 7 members get in for 12 bucks, outside those hours I pay 15. Once in you get a nice fresh white towel and a lock and key. I’ve found that the locker room is the only part about this place I don’t really enjoy. It sometimes smells rank from BO or whatever. Thankfully they have showers! Once in my towel I usually head to the sauna or steam room. Both are nice, although the steam is on some sort of cycle so sometimes a takes a quick minuet to get steamy in their. I’ve found the steam room to be a good place to pick of the guys I want to take upstairs. Upstairs is deffinally an experience. It’s lit dimly but not dark. Music plays loud enough to be enjoyable but never blaring. The rooms are set up with a shit ton of beds. And there’s a sling! Porn plays and there are bins everywhere with condoms AND gloves! Lots of trash bins and paper towel dispensers. The crowd is mixed. Mostly 30 – 50 though. I’d recommend Sunday after 5/6−8ish. Lots of guys and their busiest day. Also they sport some sort of youth night on Thursday’s, but anyone can attend… And one Thursday I was there and I found myself in a sea of HOT Transmen!!! Yea. This place is totally welcoming of ALL male identified people it seems… Love it!!! It’s fairly clean but I can tell old. Could use a new paint job downstairs in the lounge area. And a general lounge makeover. It seems as though in the year I’ve been going… Not much has happens for decoration… I think they put up a hanging skullitin on holloween… Like three inches big :-(major fail… I mean hello SF is the queerist city around… Spruce it up! Anyway… Overall an awesome experience… Usually hook up but not always. Not too many creepers but there’s always one… Check it out. Oh shit I forgot. They offer massage and no there’s not a happy ending… Bummer. But it’s fairly reasonable and @1230 it’s ½ off so very cheap! Have fun boys!

Friendly(and hot) staff, sauna & steam room, a variety of play spaces, condoms/lube/dams readily available, and pretty inexpensive for what you have access to! The guys that come here are generally respectful of each other and the space– I’ve had lots of luck finding play partners here and highly recommend checking it out! Pluses for being an awesome community space(Naked Men’s sketch, free yoga, play parties, etc.)

The place is a DUMP and the staff are unprofessional. Turned down twice because of my beard. Ouch, really searly queens… really? The BEAR movement is here in SF… get over it, and get used to it!

Not a pleasant place. It’s not very clean for starters, and the sauna/steam rooms work very ifffily. It touts a safe-sex policy that, though appealing, no one seems to care about enforcing.(Signs on the club walls categorically forbid poppers, but their real meaning is: Hide your poppers under your towel.) And finally, the staff gives more attitude than any thing about them warrants.

Though Eros is supposed to be the hotspot for gay men to get together for sexual experiences, the only day it’s actually worth while going is on a Sunday afternoon. If you go during the weekday, you’ll find older trolls. I’ve been several times and only 1 time have I had an encounter that was totally mind blowing. Can’t reprise it, can’t duplicate it. The staff are perfectly helpful.

My boyfriend and I went last night and had an enjoyable time. The facility is clean and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I was happy to find out how trans friendly the staff is so that i could recommend it to a trans friend of mine. There is a steamroom, sauna, and then a maze upstairs with beds and areas to have sex. This was our first experience in a space like this, and I’m glad to report it’s not as scary or intimidating as I thought it would be. We went on under 30 night(thursdays) but most of the guys were over thirty. I would have appreciated a few more younger people there, but I refuse to be one of those young people who bashes the older gentlemen. We all get old people, and frankly the older guys are usually the friendliest and most respectful if you are nice to them. As soon as we would start fooling around with someone, a large group would gather to watch or get involved. Sometimes that was f un, sometimes it was a buzz kill. A few guys didn’t know what«no» meant on the first try, but no one was too pushy. Everyone was very smiley and friendly and respectful. I found that if i stayed covered with my towell it meant I was taking a break or not interested, and people respected that.

Yeah, I’ve checked it out a few times… always on the weekend when I’ve gotten tired of the endless games at the bars. On the weekends, there’s a pretty good mix of men and I’ve definately had some fun. I wish that they had private rooms, but SF politics don’t allow that, so I usually just try to find a quiet corner or area. I have to admit, though, I get a bit of a thrill from the voyeurs who inevitable gather whenever something interesting starts to happen. Anyway, I haven’t taken advantage of the sauna or steamroom, I usually just hang out on the second floor or the smoking patio until it’s time to take a shower and clean up. The staff is friendly and the place is a lot cleaner than many sex clubs I’ve been in over my life.

I used to own a business adjacent to Eros, and one afternoon an ambulance pulled up and two EMTs ran in to assist a patron who apparently had suffered an attack of some sort while engaged in an activity that required he wear nothing more than a towel. As they wheeled out the gurney, on which he was sprawled nearly naked for all the passing world to see, I whispered a prayer that I’d never find myself in that embarassing a situation. The only time I was inside, I was bringing them mail that been delivered with mine in error. The lobby appeared to be cleaner and more appealing than the crowd I’d see going in and out on a daily basis. It wins three stars because it provided me with entertainment late in the work day. Those actually participating in it might award it more.
