My favorite bars in the Mission don’t serve food. This guy has saved my stomach lining many a time when in a pinch (and by that I mean the impossibility of me leaving this bar – hungry or not – when I *finally* got my ass into a bar stool). These empanadas are AMAZING! The beef one is my favorite, and never disappointing. Also, 2 for $ 5… beats the ever growing prices of the tamale lady!

Empanada guy just asked me if I would like two empanadas for $ 5 and I said yes! I microwaved them when I got home and I can safely say that the cheese one tasted like pizza and the beef one tasted like an empanada! Thank you empanada guy!
