Chilaquiles… BOMB! I work one Saturday a month and I’m there every time to grab Chilaquiles or at least a tamale if the line is too long… which it is most of the time! The tamales are on the smaller side with typical Noe prices, but still very good =) Cant wait for next month!

For me, they define green chile chilaquiles. The chile is just spicy enough. The eggs are light and fluffy and match the chiles and tortilla chips perfectly. Honestly, if someone asks me where to go for brunch on a Saturday, I send them here.

Every Saturday I wake up and walk here for Chilaquiles — the best Chilaquiles ever. I mean ever. I mean very rarely, the tent isn’t there… and I wonder aimlessly like a zombie in search of my weekend starter. I’ve had a few other things here which were good. Now sit back, relax and let me drive the point forward. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles. Delicious food! Amazing service! El Buen Comer catered our wedding and did a fantastic job. The quality of food was only surpassed by the excellent service provided by Isabella, Margarita, and the rest of their team. Each time we spoke with guests after the wedding we would hear rave reviews of the mole poblano, chile’s rellenos everything else. For me, these were some of the best versions of these dishes that I have had. My mouth is watering just thinking about their food, I am going to have to visit them at the Noe Valley farmer’s market soon!

Love love this place. Every week we get chicken mole tamales and they are outstanding. I’ve never had such good tamales. My 3 yo gets huevos mexicana but we have to get there early or they run out. I really hope they open a restaurant. I will be asking them to cater our next birthday.

El Buen Comer’s food and service is terrific. We had El Buen Comer cater a house party for us. The food was great and it was a pleasure working with Margarita to plan the party.

El Buen Comer is the best! They catered a party at my house for about 45 people and did an amazing job(especially considering our limited space)! Margarita helped plan my event and was incredibly professional, responsive, and friendly. The day of, they arrived right on time and provided most everything needed to cook and serve, so all I had to do was sit back and try my hardest not to eat everything before the guests arrived. Better still, the food was AMAZING! The tamales were perfect and moist, and the chicken tinga was insanely delicious. I’ve had multiple guests ask me for El Buen Comer’s information and absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great meal, either at the Noe Farmers Market or for a catered event. Thanks El Buen Comer!

El Buen Comer catered a party for 40 people at my home and they did an amazing job. Margarita assisted me with the menu planning and was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. Isabel and her team arrived promptly at my home to set up for the event. The food was delicious and beautifully displayed. All of the guests commented on how delicious everything was — and at least 5 of them asked for a business card. I highly recommend El Buen Comer.

I had the mole tostada at the San Francisco Street Food Festival on Saturday and it was orgasmic. The Mole was amazingly authentic in taste and now making it a point to go to the Noe Valley Food Market to taste more of what El Buen Comer has to offer.

Average. Tastes«homely». Had something along the lines of a Torta & Verde… Torta Verdes? I don’t really know but it was pretty much a sandwich with green salsa?, rice and cheese. I don’t recall if there was any meat in it or not. I also got the Aqua Fresca to complete my meal. This was delicious! Fresh tasting strawberries in your drink? YUM! Honestly, I feel like this review didn’t help, but the food is simple and filling. I ate it really fast because I was hungry, so maybe I wasn’t processing in my mind food quality. I just know this place gave off a home cooked meal type of deal. Random, but I tried this because El Buen Comer was at the SF Food Festival!

Excellent tamales — mine was a little heavy on the masa and light on the pork, but the masa was great so no complaint there. The chicken tinga tostada is also very good, with a spicier sauce(but not too spicy) than I had expected. I was pleased to see that the tostada seemed to be a freshly fried tortilla rather than some old, premade thing. Refried beans were satisying, although the rice was salty and a little bland. I wouldn’t hesitate to get lunch from here again, though!

El Buen Comer caters too! Having recently had a delicious catered lunch at my office from El Buen Comer, I immediately thought of them for the next time we needed catering. I ordered lunch for what I thought would be only 10 people from El Buen Comer via La Cocina and eagerly anticipated my next tasty experience. The night before they were supposed to bring lunch at noon, I realized we had more people than we had anticipated and had to nearly double the order. «No problem» for El Buen Comer! They arrived with the new larger order right on time. We received delicious enchiladas with a spicy(but not too spicy) green sauce, rice, beans and a fruit salad. All of the guests at the luncheon were duly impressed and asked for contact info. Also recommended: their horchata. Hands down the best i’ve had. Cant wait to have another good excuse for el buen comer to cater an office lunch.

My fiancée and I just moved to Noe Valley so walked over to the farmer’s market to check it out on Saturday. We were also starving so were hoping there would be some grub to eat. We were not disappointed! The chilequiles at this place are fabulous and the green and red sauce you can pour on top were so good we kept pouring more on top. Everything including the eggs were being made fresh right there on the spot. Some lady told us their Tamales are to die for but unfortunately they were sold out by the time we got there.

If you’ve ever wanted homemade Mexican food in San Francisco, and not known where to find it, now’s your chance. This lovely family works out of La Cocina, and they launched at the Noe Valley Farmers Market not too long ago. Chilaquiles every Saturday that are just ridiculously good, and a changing menu of homemade Mexican specialties like albondigas, puerco en chile verde and on and on! Make sure to take some tamales to go!
