The meat loaf sandwich from Coffee Mine is my favorite, but there is the shrimp with avocado as well. Good, tasty food that will not break the bank.

For a little mom and pops deli being swallowed up by the techies, and expensive condos, I can always rely on this place. Always open. Always consistent. Prices are always good. I’m not sure how they do it with all the new bakeries/restaurants/etc charging triple for what they charge. Hopefully we folks in the area continue to support them afloat.

No sign but it’s a white storefront between all star café and Quaker meal store. It’s a nice asian man who cooks yr food to order so it’s fresh! Breakfast we ordered. The omelet was good and was the crêpe but falafel my friend didn’t like. Restroom provided and food is cheap but good around 4.50 for a breakfast sandwich or 6.75 for an egg toast kind of thing

9÷27÷15: Got 2 things here, one hauntingly terrible, one good. Service isn’t great, well, I guess that’s being a tad nice actually. I don’t see what justifies the relatively high overall score this place currently has. When we came it wasn’t super busy or anything. Maybe just one order in front of us. But the chef/cashier seemed quite busy for whatever reason and wasn’t super pleasant, but I guess wasn’t exactly rude either so I didn’t care too much. However, he did get our order wrong, forgetting to make my smoothie. I told him later and he showed me the bill proving that he didn’t charge us for it. Whatever. 1. Breakfast Bagel $ 3.65: Pretty good actually. The bagel was what a good bagel should be – chewy and moist. The egg was your standard fully-cooked fried thing, and your standard bacon. The bagel alone certainly was tasty. Didn’t get much, but it didn’t cost much either. 6⁄10. 2. Meatloaf Sandwich $ 7.50: HORRIFIC. Absolute worst meatloaf I have ever tasted in my entire life! You could stick pure ground beef in the oven, pour a bit of ketchup over it, and bake it until all moisture has run away, and it would STILL be better than this. So, their«meatloaf» is like a thickened spread. Doesn’t taste like meat. I think it’s closer to a grainy mixture turned into pudding, mixed with tons of ketchup. As I held the sandwich I could see the mixture start to gel out the sides. So gross. On a side note, the bread roll was actually fantastically great!, super moist and fresh – such a waste of really good bread. It was so disgusting I threw the vast majority of it away and starved as we perused the Folsom Street Fair… but I guess that was for the best cause after seeing some of that some of the food might have come back out! 1⁄10. Well, I guess if they just replaced that crazy crap they filled into my sandwich with some real meat it would have made a decent sandwich, I’m just gonna give them the benefit of the doubt something more normal like a chicken sandwich would be edible. 3⁄5 #diner #breakfastsandwich #breakfastbagel #sandwich

I had the Chicken Tarragon sandwich w/chips and a drink for about $ 9.50. That beats any price in this neighborhood. There are vegetarian options! It’s definitely a hole in the wall and in a sketchy area but it felt clean enough that I was comfortable eating my food there. I initially wanted the Chicken Wrap but they were out of «tortillas of that size». The reviews are true — they do run out of random ingredients as the day goes on. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich came out piping hot — the ingredients were fresh and the chicken moist. Sandwich rating 7⁄10.

Fast service, cheap prices, and the food is pretty good too. This is on my walk to work and a great place to stop in for a quick breakfast wrap or croissant egg sandwich. Nothing too fancy, but they get the job done.

I’ll come back again, it is close and the food was surprisingly pretty good. The restaurant seems to shop for what they need daily so they tend to run out of ingredients as the day winds down(Fresh is better than frozen.) My only complaint: the espresso flavor profile was not good, maybe I’m just particular about my coffee or they gave me a bad pull or the roast of the bean was off.

The smoothies here are pre made syrup junk. I even asked which smoothies were made with fresh ingredients and they told me x, y, z. I ordered one and threw it away a block later. Too much syrup, sugar, and grossness. However the place, service, and food looked good. Still haven’t gone back to try round two.

I was searching for food & coffee, and I stumbled upon this place. The coffee isn’t anything special, but the food is really fresh. The tacos, sandwiches, and crepes are made to order. That being said, it might take you ten minutes from the time you place your order till the time you receive your food. But it will be worth it! So yummy! I was happy to find a place with good, inexpensive food just around the corner from our hotel. Even better– this family-run business has the sweetest, funnest people working behind the counter! I’ll be back next time I’m in SoMa.

Trying out all the options around my work including Coffee Mine. I walk past here every morning and noticed how busy it was on my first day to work! I finally got lunch here last week. Other reviewers were right, the service here is NOT friendly. Cranky old Chinese ladies working here who don’t smile and had zero facial change when the guy in front of me made a funny joke when ordering his food. I got the highly advertised shrimp and avocado sandwich. They take SUPER long to make the food here even if there is no one in front of you. They move at snails pace and do not seem to give a rats ass. When the person in front of me had his order finally ready, he had to remind the woman he had not paid yet. I have no idea why they ask you to pay after when you order at the register. Food wise, my sandwich was okay. The bread was toasted and soft but there was one measly piece of lettuce and they forgot the onions. When someone walked in after me and ordered a sandwich, the woman told him they were out of onions. Funny she didn’t mention it to me! Some other reviewers mentioned they are always out of ingredients too wtf. The redeeming factor is the salad that comes on the side. I got the fruit salad(none of the veggie salads looked appetizing at all) and they gave me a huge portion of it. All the fruit was perfectly ripe and delicious. Their menu is very similar to Anna’s Café next door. I almost thought they were the same place at first. I will be taking my business to Anna’s Café in the future.

This is a darling little place run by your ol’ ma and pap. These solid folks make a mean ol’ burrito breakfast. They also have a bunch of juices you bougie folk like. Good enough for the construction dudes outside, good enough for me.

Really unprofessional experience here. I was craving a smoothie this afternoon and saw the mostly-positive reviews for this café. Since the young guy behind the counter was currently preparing an order, he called for help from the group of boys hanging out in the back and one told me they didn’t have the ingredients for a pineapple smoothie, kind of with an attitude. That was okay, so I asked for strawberry instead. He goes on to prepare my smoothie, seeming like it was the first one he’d ever made, with no sign of any fresh fruit. When I finally get the smoothie, the lid squashes some out and he just kind of pushes it with his bare hand(which did not look clean at all). I could be okay with all of this if the smoothie was good, but unfortunately it came out tasting way too sweet like syrup blended with ice. :(Not coming back. (Also, the other two customers were getting breakfast burritos and mid-way through preparation are told they’re out of tortillas as well. When they ask to make it a bagel sandwich instead, the guy behind the counter seemed to really not want to do it. Don’t know what’s up with that.)

A few of my friends and I walked in one Sunday morning. The older Asian gentleman working behind the counter was very friendly, taking our orders, preparing them, pushing away the cart of foodstuffs blocking some of the tables in the back. There are only a few of them, and it’s a bit cramped. I ordered a hot chocolate, French toast, and a blueberry muffin. I wanted a bagel and cream cheese, but the few bagels left didn’t look particularly appetizing. It was a little late for breakfast, probably 10:30, so maybe there was a larger selection earlier. As for the taste of the food, nothing remarkable, but no problems either. The hot chocolate was a little weak, but at least it was well-made, with a frother and Hershey’s chocolate. As we were leaving, the guy called out to one of my group that he hadn’t paid. But when he insisted he had and started pulling out his receipt, the guy relented. So I guess the moral is keep your receipt.

I live about a block away from Coffee Mine, and it’s seriously the best deal in the area. The prices are fantastic. I always end up with the bagel sandwiches. The jalapeño bagels are amazing but an extra dollar. They do tend to use very random cheeses for the sandwiches, but they’re amazing. You can choose between ham, bacon, and sausage for your meat. It’s $ 3.75 I think for a sandwich. They also have giant breakfast burritos. They have good smoothies with interesting flavors, and they’re only $ 2.75. It’s a steal. The owners are so sweet. I love eating in here because it’s quiet and pleasant. There is only a little sign outside so keep your eyes open!
