It’s nice not too pricy just on the right, with great view and great choice of food what can you ask for

We came here for after dinner drinks, and the views are amazing! We actually came two nights in a row and sat on opposite sides to get a different view each night. The host sat us on the couches facing the windows. Very comfy. For a hotel bar on the top floor, I don’t feel that the drinks were over-priced. We actually had the same server on both nights, and he was personable and efficient. He also brought us a nice complimentary bowl of spiced nuts which were delicious. It’s pretty quiet, so it’s great for conversations(as long as you don’t have loud people sitting nearby). I don’t understand some of the other reviews that said things look«dirty and cheap.» We did not sit at the regular tables, however. Nor did we look at the food menus. We definitely liked it, or we would not have returned the second night!

I came here for a holiday party and I had a great time. One of the waiters, Elton, was very friendly and professional. The staff here are very attentive and professional. It is located on the 46th floor of the Hilton hotel and the views here are just breathtaking. The buffet was really good and everything was really tasty. The desserts were my favorite. I loved the chocolate layer cake. My group all tried different desserts and no one had a complaint. You should definitely check this place out.

Five star view. One to two star food and service. I couldn’t agree more with one of the other reviewers. Cheap and not so clean feel to the whole place. Staff slightly disinterested. really not worth a visit. Skip it and go to one of the much better rooftop bars/restaurants in the area.

Amazing view! Decided to do thanksgiving dinner at Cityscape and was very impressed with the buffet dinner, service, and the view was amazing! Highly recommend if you haven’t been there at the top of the Hilton!

The Cityscape Bar and Lounge is located at the Hilton Union Square, Tower 1, on the 46th floor! It boasts an amazing view of the city. They currently serve breakfast and dinner buffets; but are closed for lunch. The bar is at the center of it all and customer service is exceptional! A great place for drinks, a date, or to take out of town family and friends. There are 3 elevator wells to the restaurant. I’m claustrophobic so getting up there seemed an eternity! Walking in, the first thing you see is the bar. Then you’re hit with sweeping views of the city! Just breathtaking! Dinner is buffet-style and while it’s not your typical«stuff your face» or «treat yo’self» type of setup, the quality and quantity of the food being served was just right. There was a good selection of meat, chicken, seafood, and vegan entrees. Salad, pasta, and finger foods such as pita chips and hummus were the sides. The finale was a plate of dessert items for each person — I often find myself wondering if I could’ve asked for another plate(being that it’s a buffet)… Overall, it was quite an experience.

A lot of gripes about cost in a hotel bar? Really? The prices are no different than a Garden Inn so move on from price when it has no impact on the quality of your drink. I agree it seems touristy, I bet money there are many business meetings held here.

Cityscape bar actually has fantastic views of the city and floor to ceiling Windows which allow you to gaze into the lights as you drink or eat. What I didn’t like about this place In particular is the fact that everything just seemed dirty and cheap. The menus were just on a printed on a piece of paper with a generic font, the tables and chairs were similar to something out of a second hand store and the servers were undereducated in the bar biz and seemed genuinely disinterested in pleasing people. The only thing that wasn’t cheap was the price… You basically are paying standard if not above SF prices for crap service with a good view. Ultimately, I would likely not return to this bar nor would I recommend it to someone getting anything other than a single beer and enjoying the view. Pros– Views Location Beer Cons– Service Cheap feel Pricey drinks Menu Cleanliness Promptness

I was expecting great things. It was still nice because there are wraparound windows. But you can tell the space is quite dated. The center area is a large bar and high tables. I came here for a private event, so I’m not sure how it is on a normal night, but I felt that the way it’s arranged is awkward. All those stairs and corners for the inebriated.

This was just an average hotel bar with high prices for tourists and waiters that seem like they just want to please you for a good tip and forget about you. Although it receives a 3-star rating, mainly due to the beauty of the view and the beauty of the bar/restaurant itself, the drinks were expensive and the breakfast was not very good. This place is a great place to go and have a drink if you are staying in the hotel and simply want to have a drink with a great view. Heck, if you don’t finish your drink at the bar, they allow you to take it down to your room.

The prices seem high here but there is a bar so you can just stop in and get a drink if you want instead of spending a bit over your wanting amount on dinner. They have a dinner buffet at the moment but I am not sure if they have a regular restaurant style thing going here also. The view is breathtaking from almost any side of the restaurant. I am staying at the hotel so I just kind of waltzed in and asked if I can scope the place out and take some photos and they were fine with it. I can’t speak for the food or drinks but if you want a good view then this is your spot! It is on the 46th floor and you can only get here by going through Tower 1, the back 2 elevators ONLY. This is kind of confusing to find so just remember TOWER1 and last 2 elevators! hehe. Hope this place gets some more publicity because it really is so beautiful to look down on the city and bay from it.

Breakfast Buffet here was terribly crowded; the tables are crammed together, and you will get bumped into and jostled around because of this cramped seating. The location of the restaurant is impressive — the 46th floor, but that happy impression quickly dissipated. There is a long winding line when you get off the elevator to get to into the restaurant. There is another(albeit shorter) wait for a table when you finally make it to the front. Long wait for our«server», and the breakfast is buffet only. He finally appeared, told another(pleasant) fellow to give us coffee, and — he handed us the bill! ODD! We hadn’t even stood up to go get our food! Buffet lines were crowded, and the omelet station was very packed. Only one poor gal making omelets, and she worked very hard to keep the line moving. Clearly she needed another person to work with her. My husband had completely finished his breakfast when I came back and sat down with my omelet! Be careful where they seat you, as one side of the restaurant gets very direct(and very warm) sun, and one section of that area had broken window shades. We were not next to the window, but it was definitely warm and uncomfortable where we were seated. The poor family two tables over who were directly next to the window were miserable. They quickly asked for help with the shade; our server snapped over us and over the table next to us, to them«Out of order!». They then asked to be moved«Can’t move, no tables». It was uncomfortable for this man to be yelling over us to them, and we felt really sorry for the family who were left to roast in that miserable window. Yes, they could have been moved — tables were emptying right and left. We felt very sorry for the family who had to suffer that sun through their breakfast. The food was mediocre. but they had a very good selection of many items. They ran out of items frequently, due to the massive amount of people eating in the restaurant. People would put bread in the toaster and walk away — some never returned which created a huge backlog at the toasters. This was certainly not the hotel’s fault, but it created awkward situations for many who were looking around for the«owner» of the cold toast sitting in the toasters! Many children running about, it got a little scary as kids would literally run in front of you almost tripping you, or knocking you over from behind. We were nicely dressed for an event a little later, so I was very worried that something would get spilled on me with all the commotion going on, with so many people and tables packed so tightly together. Would not recommend this place for breakfast.

46th floor of the Hilton. I came here for an event(from which I had a BLAST!) and all I can say is choice of venue was superb. The views are amazing! I never get tired admiring the city at night. I think I spent a minute or two just trying to take it all in. Tables are arranged close by the windows. Bar and dance floor at the center of the room. Bartenders were awesome making all those drinks. Servers were dutifully making sure the dessert tables are filled with varieties of yummy treats. Well, drinks I would say are overpriced(as anywhere else downtown). $ 12 for drinks and wine, $ 5 for soda and water. A good venue for any occassion. Wedding, group parties and the like.

There isn’t too much to say about the Cityscape Bar and Restaurant, considering that I came here for an event and there was no restaurant. There was however, a bar. Cocktails at the bar ran around $ 12, but what else do you expect to find in San Francisco? The bartender’s were also very nice and friendly, which made going back for more very easy. The view was simply breathtaking. And if you circled around the floor, you pretty much had a 360 view of the city, give or take a few degrees. Keep in mind that I came here for a night event, so my view was filled with a lot of lights. And surprisingly enough, it was a fairly clear night, so I was able to see the lights for miles. This venue truly was magnificent and I will be coming back in the near future to experience their culinary work as well.

I took my, then girlfriend, now wife, here about 5 years ago, by surprise. This was when ‘adulthood’ can afford you nicer, or rather something different, than what you’re normally used to. LOL! My wife was«wow’d» by this place, as I was. We both have never been in this kind of place before. The view was amazing. The sun was setting at the time, so the ‘romantic’ ambience was definitely felt. Our table was next to the panoramic glass so the view of the city was all for us to admire. The orange color coming from the sun was everywhere in the city. It was beautiful. I give 5 stars for the view alone! The food and service did not disappoint, as well. Our staff was friendly, attentive and service was rather quick for this kind of restaurant. I couldn’t remember what we ordered, but I remember enjoying every bit of it. From appetizer, entreé, to dessert… in a romantic place, along with the company of my wife… PERFECT! Since then, we’ve never been back. I don’t know if it’s still around, but we may come back here.

Try so hard to be hard but they are not hard. Won’t let you carry your bottle service bottle on the dance floor. What do they want me to do? Drink it at the table? Power trip idiot bouncers don’t know how to read a guest list. They give you 5 comps for a table and we used 2, but still said we didn’t have any more. Horrible experience and horrible service except for Crystal which was the lone bright spot. Hopefully you can deal with her and her only. Nice views of the city though.

They try so hard to be high end… And fail so miserably. Overpriced drinks served in tiny plastic cups, the wine that they serve is terrible, but they are still charging you $ 9 for it, mixed drinks are $ 12. Really? Service is slow, slow slow! Dance floor is tiny. When the weather is clear, the view is breathtaking, that’s one star, music and djs are good, that’s the other star. No more.

The service at this place was despicable! Two extremely bad experiences in one night by two different bartenders! For the first experience, it took us an extremely long time to get our drinks. Total bill came up to $ 125!. With some attitude too! My friend was ordering, so I can’t tell the story firsthand, but she was extremely shocked by the terrible service. Second experience, we ordered two chilled grey goose. We also asked for a ginger ale. The bartender wanted to pour the ginger ale into the drink we ordered though, I told him that’s not what we wanted, and he muttered«damn kids» under his voice. He rudely gave us our drinks with two separate glasses of ginger ale… Boy, I thought I was soo relieved that it was the end of this whole transaction, but I was obviously wrong! One minute later, we took a sip of our drinks, and it turns out to be pure water! I couldn’t believe this, so I walked back and kindly told him the situation. He apologized, saying he had accidentally given us his water! However, I really don’t think this was any coincidence. The view is impressive. The service is anywhere beyond acceptable. I think it would be great to have a big event here, but I probably wouldn’t because my guests need to be treated top notch! Obviously, the service here was FAR from that!

Breathtaking. Remodeled and renovated on the 46th floor of the Hilton, this spot will give your imagination a run for it’s money. I came here last Friday night for the 10th Annual Glide Warren Buffet Lunch Auction(Thank you Glide for the invite) and was immediately ushered into a whole new world when I stepped in. 360 degree views of San Francisco that reach from the Golden Gate to Pac Bell Park. The sweeping skyline views will levitate you off your feet, and give your senses a momentary high. With an open wine bar, and decadent hors ‘d oeuvres, my guest and I were indulging in the whole scene. Flat screens were set up throughout the venue to watch the live auction of the lunch on eBay and as the final seconds ticked away, the winning bid came in for a whopping $ 1.68 Million! Shouts of joy and celebration rang through, and the party really kicked off. The dance floor in the middle of the lounge acted as a perfect hot spot for the tunes to jump and the surrounding views of the city eased your mind into a dream like state. With a combination of smiling service and timeless views, this is a SF floor you need to visit.
