My fave comedy club in the Tenderloin! Also in San Francisco! I hope that guy Ben DelCastillo comes back to wax nostalgic about clubbing.

Love the tiny, intimate setting that allows for no more than an audience of probably 18. Cheap, hilarious, and you can bring your own snacks & booze. What more do you need? Best $ 20 ever spent. 2 hours worth of laughter for 2 people. Saw about 6 comedians and all were pretty funny.

Great show !!! Thanks for hosting us. Not only is the show great(2 hours long and 5 – 6 comedians) but your ticket money goes towards a charity

If you are looking for an experience this is the club for you. I have been here 3 times and there are about 6 new comics each time. It is an intimate setting, with half of the audience being comics. Come ready to laugh and bring your favorite drink. I’ve even been called onto stage to tell a joke. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. Sam out.

While on vacation from Texas to San Francisco, we passed a guy carrying a sign which advertised $ 10 comedy close to Market Street and decided why not, and figured we’d give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised by this comedy club. We arrived at about 10:00, right on time, and chatted with other members of the audience a bit. The club was very, very small; it sat about 20 people. The show started right on time, there were about six comedians plus the host. I was very impressed with the quality of the entertainment. I haven’t laughed harder in quite a long time, and the environment gave us an authentic San Francisco comedy experience. I would highly recommend this little comedy club to anyone looking for a couple of hours of quality entertainment. On top of all of this, all of the proceeds from the comedy shows go to support a village in Liberia where the owner is from. A great night of entertainment for a great cause!

Similarly to the other reviews here, this spot is what it is — a small, cute little comedy club that supports local comics and provides a unique experience. We heard about it at Union Square, went for $ 10 a piece, and left very satisfied.

BYOB and stand up comedians, what could go wrong? As long as you can find the place — not much. It’s literally a glass door without any sign, and when you pay the $ 10 cover and they slide the curtain aside for you to walk in, there will be a moment when you are expecting to get robbed but then the charm of the quaint and warm atmosphere steals your heart.(See what I did there?) The place is bare bones and can’t seat more than a small roller coaster, but did I mention it’s BYOB? The comics are hit or miss but that’s the nature of the beast with any comedy club. Go. Laugh. Support live comedy.

Don’t come here expecting a typical comedy club — but do expect to have a great time if you can relax! Being able to bring your own booze and not worry about the 2 drink minimum is enough of a reason to give this place a try. It’s smaller than you can imagine — yes, they tell you 30 seats, but when you walk in you’ll probably think you came to the wrong place. It’s like your English class, but about ¾ that size. Anyway, I’ve come a few times, and have had a great time on all occasions. There have been a few comedians that were not funny, but that goes for any comedy club. Usually I’m laughing for most of the night! I mean, some of the comedians here are hilarious, offbeat, and offer humor that probably wouldn’t really fly at the more established clubs. As much as I have grown sick and tired of the phrase«hidden gem,» this place really is one.

I really thought I had reviewed this place right after we made a visit. Anyhow we were in Burger King on Powell and some guy with a post that said 10 $ comedy club came through was passing out flyers. My bf thought it would be fun and took one. It said to bring your own alcohol. We start walking there and as I’m asking him if we’re close a man standing alone the sidewalk asked us if wed like to go to a comedy show. We of course told him we were actually looking for it. We went to the ATM. CASHONLY. We were the first to arrive and there was no one inside. It’s a very small room with only about 20 seats. The chairs were from the 80s and there were 3 small tables with styrofoam cups on top. Me and my bf gave each other a strange look and burst ed out laughing. We were afraid wed be the only ones in the audience. Thank god 5 min later another couple walks in and we joke around about how we were thinking it was some legit place with tons of seating. Then the last couple comes in 3 min after that. We were all thinking it was nice we brought alcohol. One couple was like were totally going to be made fun of by one of them. There were other people coming in and sat on the side closest to the door. I thought it was strange but didn’t realize till later that they were the comics! There were 7 comics(including the guy at the door) and 6 people in audience. It probably lasted a bit over and 1 ½. It started later than 8 because the guy was trying to get as many people in as he could. I wish it would have lasted longer. Sure there were some dry parts but I did LOL at a lot of them. I recommend bringing alchy and I also recommend going to the later show in case it goes over the time. Real good job guys!!!

My girlfriend and I were in San Francisco for the weekend and looking for something on a Saturday night. We’ve been to several comedy clubs and were hoping to find a hidden gem in SF. Instead we experienced the longest hour and a half of our lives. It’s hard to put into words how embarrassingly bad each comedian was. We only sat through the entire show with hopes that the next performer would be at least tolerable. Most of the jokes consisted of strained banter with the audience, cracks about the seedy area around the club, and lame pot jokes. The person who laughed loudest was the hostess – at her own jokes. Save your time and money($ 10), go elsewhere.

I LOVE this place! I found it on Unilocal, when looking for something to do with a friend from out of town. What drew me in? BYOB of course! And only a $ 10 cover. Which goes to a non-profit that benefits African children! We went to the 8pm show(on Friday and Saturday nights there is an 8pm and a 10pm show), and were a little late — I hesitated when I opened the curtain, because the comedian was already on stage, and the room was TINY! I felt like I’d be disturbing him, and the audience. But he(the MC, I realized later on) was really friendly, and said«Hey! Come on in, guys!» The attitude here is very welcoming, as opposed to some comedy clubs that heckle the audience and belittle people. There were probably only 4 or 5 other people in the audience, plus the comedians that were performing. I’ve been twice now — the first time, the comedians were freaking hilarious. Some of the best comedy I’ve seen. The second time, the comedians weren’t AS good,(but not bad either), and for the price and not having to deal with the 2 drink minimum, I still would take this place over most other comedy clubs I’ve been to. They seem to have many different comedians that perform here, so it’s always a fun surprise! It’s fun after the show too; the MC, comedians, and audience kind of mingle and talk. Overall, just a really warm and friendly vibe.

Very unexpected. Got a flyer from some guy in Union Square, had some time so thought to check it out. This has got to be the best value entertainment in San Francisco, sans Muni. $ 10 no drink minimum, as you need to BYO. Sketchy neighborhood but hey, it’s a cheap date. Comics can be very good or not but hey it is only $ 10 and you can bring your own drinks and food. When you find the place, you’ll never guess it is a comedy club. Don’t worry just go in. I’ll be back for sure.

Had an unexpected great time! Small room creates a very intimate ambiance. Almost like having fun with that funny friend we all have… but with better jokes!

Venue looks kinda sketchy, but it is pretty friendly and the MC is awesome. The comedians we saw were really funny. I will definitely go back.

$ 10 comedy and BYOB? Well, don’t mind if I check it out while I’m in the area! Overall it was a good show. I could tell they didn’t get top of the line comedians, but the headliner was really quite good. The host was extremely friendly, though her jokes didn’t mesh well sometimes — not sure why she kept on bringing up sheep just because a guy from NZ was there — the joke really kept falling flat. It’s in a small crowded room, so don’t expect anything fancier than folding chairs, styrofoam cups, and end tables. But it made for a good casual atmosphere where people felt completely comfortable bringing their bottles of wine and takeout and enjoying a few laughs over dinner.

came here with a friend and he almost bailed when he saw the venue. i convinced him to give it a shot and promised him i’d buy him tickets to see james bond if it sucked. i owe him james bond tickets. the first comedian was the worst i’ve ever seen. he told puns for 15 minutes straight. the second was the second-worst i’ve ever seen. she went around the room and attempted to roast everybody. there’s almost nothing worse than a bad roast. the third comedian was at least bearable. he wasn’t smooth, but he had some good jokes. the fourth was the only reason my friend didn’t kill me. this guy was actually good, had a good rhythm, really got the audience into his stories and had some good banter going. the fifth comedian was a white guy who thought that, because the fourth guy was a black guy who made some racist jokes, that it was okay for him to make some racist jokes. sorry buddy. comes across very differently when you’re white. the only thing worse than a bad roast is a white person telling racist jokes. the headliner was just mediocre. i think he must have been having an off night, because it was pretty clear that he realized how badly everything was going over.(this is to his credit — all the other bad comedians didn’t seem to realize how bad they were.) he cut his set short and let us go without inflicting too much pain. not recommended.

the only complaint I had was due to the small size of the room, i had to listen to all the jokes, because of which my jaws started paining. It was constant laughter for 2 hours.

A friend of mine who was visiting San Francisco from Las Vegas found«Our Little Comedy Club.» We went to a show on Friday night at 8 p.m. in mid-February. For $ 10 each(the venue is BYOB) we saw 6 or 7 well-rehearsed, very funny comedians. The show is booked through an agency, so these comedians were honing well-developed material and practicing new bits. «Bravo!» I have attended countless comedic performances ranging from Jay Leno in Vegas to Sketchfest to random evenings at Cobb’s or Punchline. This was definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had. The intimate setting(the place only seats around 30), interactivity with the comics, the owner and the rest of the audience make this a uniquely wonderful place to enjoy stand-up. Whether you’re a local or a tourist — Go! The evening promises to be among the least expensive and most fun(ny) you can have in San Francisco.

We went her last night after picking up a 5 $ per person flyer on the street corner of Powel and Ellis. The guy there told us to get drinks at the liquor store next door before going into the club and we did. The place is amazingly small(25 seats at most) and the perfomers(one MC and five comics) outnumbered the audience(us and another couple) when we were there but it didn’t really feel uncomfortable or strange. The comics were all enjoyable, but this isn’t a place I’d take the family. The humor was a little raunchy at times, but we laughed a lot so it was good. There were definitely big laughs spread throughout the night and only one comic that I could have done without(but I still enjoyed him.) If you’re looking for some raw talent and want to see some folks on their way up, this is a great place to check out. If I’m up in San Francisco on a Saturday evening with nothing else to do I’d defeintely give it another shot. We caught the 8 pm show, but they said there was a 10pm show as we were leaving.
