It’s too bad this place has closed. They had the best mussels and fries around. They had great fish and chips as well.

Went there for lunch in the Westfield mall and it is gone. A Brazilian place has taken its space.

Fish & Chips were quite tasty here, as well as the pulled chicken sammie with a 8 hr baked beans side. Napkins needed! :)

Catch Isle is an American seafood eatery in Westfield San Francisco Shopping Center. They serve fish and chips, fried prawns and chips, soups and salads, tacos, sandwiches, mussels, grilled salmon, linguini and clams or mussels, etc. Everything is made to order which makes Catch Isle a generally strong contender in this mall. Overall, clean flavors, relatively healthy, and reasonable prices. Fried prawns and chips: Nice texture, moderately fresh prawns. Great fries.

This place has one of the best fish and chips I ever tried. The fish was soft, flavorful, and crispy. The fries were good as well. Staffs are very friendly. A hand down for mall food since its price is lower than all other places there.

I find it funny but absolutely depressing that the best fish and chips I’ve eaten in SF is located in a mall food court. At least it’s a nice food court right? For a little less then 12 bucks you get 2 fairly large pieces of battered fish and 2HUGE jumbo shrimp along with a good helping of fries. The order is big enough to share and still feel satisfied. The other menu options look great too, and I can’t wait to try them but if you’re looking to stretch your dollar go with the fish and chips!

Get the fish tacos!!! The first time I got the fish tacos, I didn’t know it was going to be so big, so I ordered 2 and I was really surprised. I only finished 1 ½ and saved the rest. It’s a bit pricey for it to be in the mall food court but I definitely recommend this place out of everything there! Plus the people working there were very sweet!

Catch Isle definitely is the catch of Westfield mall. It’s the best place in the entire food court, and solely for their Fish & Chips. Whereas everything is just glorified overly expensive mall food, their fish & chips is relatively cheap and tasty. Now I’m no fish & chips connoisseur, but these are probably some of the best that I’ve ever had. Super crispy and thick with meat. Comes with a big heaping of fries as well. There’s no going wrong with this deal, because it’ll leave your stomach both happy and full. If I’m ever in Westfield mall, chances are that I’m eating here at Catch Isle. Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to try out one of their actual pasta/seafood dishes, but for now, I’ll fish & chip it.

I always get the same thing when I come here, the grilled salmon, grilled artichokes, & a glass of wine, because it is simply top notch. But today I decided to try something else on the menu that I’ve never tried before, the Steamed Mussels and fries. I upgraded the fries to both parmesan and garlic, and it was awesome, and the mussels were awesome, and the garlic broth that it was in was just as good too. I’ve now had everything on their menu except the catfish & blackeye peas. That’s for another time.

Awesome fish and chips. Sauce is just right. Cole slaw had the right balance of crunch salt and sweet. And for the city What a value. A MUSTTRY!

I was in the mood for some good ol’ fish and chips since I didn’t get the chance to eat any when I was down near Fishermans Wharf yesterday. A friend of mine recommended this place and it didn’t disappoint! The fish was perfectly crisp on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. The chips(fries) were also very good– thin cut and fried to perfection. My daughter ordered a cup of clam chowder and it was also very flavorful! I would say it was on par with the chowder we had at Pompei’s yesterday, but at a much lower price point. Overall, good food at a good price!

As yummy as it’s always been! I used to work here and every time I come to SF I try it out again just to make sure the quality hasn’t slipped or anything(haha)! Well I’m pleased to say that it has not slipped! The fish sandwich is my favorite thing on the menu and it is just delicious. It’s affordable, tasty and filling. And I really like how they grill the bread(still soft and chewy with a nice light char flavor). If it was me I tell them to add a bit more onion, but other then that it’s perfect the way it is! (The fried calamari and fish and chips here are also really good, by the way.)

Pricing: Good-Expensive. $ 4 for an order of garlic fries was a little pricey. Quality: Good-Excellent. Mmmmm, garlic. Turnaround: Good. I expected my fries to actually come out instantly. Service: Good-Excellent. Nice busser. I was actually satisfied with the amount of garlic fries I was given, but $ 4 for a side order at a food court feels just a tad bit overpriced. On the other hand, I did enjoy the fries even if they did remind me of the frozen variety. The cooks had put a heap of garlic on them and unless I can kill vampires with my breath afterwards, garlic fries do not count as garlic fries in my book, so I approve. I had actually thought they would finish my fries sooner, but I did not wait that terribly long so no complaints there. Since we were at a food court, we are actually suppose to bring our trays back to these areas above the disposals, but a buser who happened to be cleaning a table nearby offered to take our plates for us. I felt that was very thoughtful and considerate of the buser.

Ambiance 0; salmon risotto 10. Chaotic, unpleasant mall food court location, but the salmon with spinach risotto is one of my favorite meals. Period.

Alright, alright, I get it. I’m a bitch when it comes to stars but Catch Isle, you just earned one star back!!! Came in yesterday for some wine. They had a 14 $ bottle of wine. It was good and we drank it all there. Major headache. But, my bf ordered the fish and chips and I don’t know if it was because I was drunk but it was really good. The fries were still heart wrenchingly oily but the fish was really yummy. Especially with the tar tar sauce and lemon. I was probably drunk… but you go Catch Isle! You deserve that drunken star!

$ 6.25 for a 2 piece fish and chips meal. Shame the chips were stale and not light and fluffy. On the thin side, those fries. The fish was very tad heavy-handed on the breading, but fish flaked well and moist, not dry. That counts for a lot in my book. Portions very decent:)! Coleslaw watery and nondescript.

Though I doubt that the fish here is sustainable and highly doubt that my salmon was wild — I just knew my body needed some sort of animal protein and fast. Catch Isle seemed to be the best option in the sea of quick mall options. Catch Isle has always served up a solid grilled salmon. Tonight was no exception. The guy helping me was kind enough to substitute a spinach salad for the risotto which normally accompanied the salmon and he was particularly friendly. In a matter of minutes, which was surprisingly refreshing rather than the number of seconds which most meals are served up in the Westfield — my salmon was ready. It was moist and cooked beautifully. The spinach salad was particularly satisfying. It was a big portion and there was a plethora of walnuts poking up beneath the light vinaigrette which grazed the salad. I could instantly feel my body rejoicing — with each bite that I took. I think my body has spoken. It needs a little bit of animal protein to feel satisfied, for healthy thick hair, and for just overall Jessica what’s up ness. Trust.

it’s that time of the year where catholics give up a bad habit for 40 days and no meat on fridays — pescatarian status YAY for lent! Place is located in Westfield mall at the food court(just an FYI for those who are trying to find it w/GPS) questioning myself whether to eat the food being prepared as I watch the cooks wipe their nose on the gloves they are wearing… Calamari — bland Clam chowder — bland and had consistency of mashed potatoes Salmon w/tarragon spinach risotto — good unfortunately the salmon was burnt even though I was told by the guy at the register it would be cooked medium. Prawn and fish combo w/garlic Parmesan fries — bland but the fries and cole slaw was good compared to the blandness. Too much breading on the fish =( the lemon wedges that accompanied each dish and washing it down with a corona helped the food to go down. At least I tried the place, but me thinks I will go elsewhere for Fridays during lent.

Cheap bites at the Westfield Shopping Mall food court. The fish tacos weren’t so great. Topping were weak. Tortilla shells were dry and the flavors were very bland. You can have your fish grilled or fried but neither was impressive at all. The blackened catfish was surprisingly good. Portion is tiny but the fillet was tender and full of juice. Wish it came with something else other than the fairly tasteless blackeyed peas.

This place is in the center of the west field mall’s dining area. There is a little window where you can watch the chefs cook. The food always looks so yummy. We ordered the grilled salmon with tarragon spinach risotto — medium cooked salmon. the risotto was cooked well but lacked some flavor. Could have used some salt/seasoning. The highlight of this dish was the salmon clam chowder — very watery and taste-less Later when we were leaving I pear into the little window to see what they were making and see ¼ cup of butter in the pan they were cooking!
