The first latte I ordered here was wonderful and got me through a tough morning. It raised my expectations so I was surprised a few days later to drink a latte that made me think that the beans for this espresso had been rolling around in the gutters of the USCF campus. However it was served with a beautiful smile(as was the first one) and the line of regulars convinced me that this would probably not happen again.

5 star service, 3 star almond latte. Waiting a million years for doctor’s appointment, this express cart saved me from totally falling asleep and starvation. I like my espresso strong, don’t really taste that strong kick.

Surprisingly good coffee! Stopped by after a doctors appt at ucsf and was greeted by a friendly staff at the stand. It’s almost like self service coffee because you just grab a cup and fill it with the coffee of your choice and put cash in a box(I didn’t see the box so I just handed it to the friendly staff). I got the Ethiopia Amaro Gayo and really enjoyed the hints of honey and dark chocolate. Looking forward to my next doctors appt… so I can try their other coffees!

Yum yum! So good! Their coffees are amazing! They mix all sorts of things and they even have non dairy whipped cream! The staff are all really sweet and down to earth. Large selection of food and pastries for such a small cart! And what is great, is they are out there rain or shine! If it’s raining they just move under the protection of the building. But they are there!

Change your coffee routine! No need to go to Starbucks when you can come to this sweet spot for your daily cuppa joe. I usually get vanilla lattes and they make them on the sweeter side. They have a generous policy to let you get coffee even on a day when you forget your wallet.

Indie cart that cranks out a strong and frothy latte. It is located across the hospital in front of the main medical building. I prefer to get caffeinated here versus the SBUX up the street. The cart also has pastries to nosh on. Support your local coffee carts!

What can you say about the best coffee cart on earth? The staff are awesome. They always serve with a smile, and they are quick to let you know which of the drip coffees was brewed more recently. Every morning I’m working at UCSF, I look forward to my stop here. They recognize me when I walk up now, and practically have my usual(4 shots of espresso) frothing in a cup before I order. Prices are great, and the coffee and espresso are top notch. Pro tip: the self serve coffee is $ 1.85 for a large, less for a small, but when you put two bucks in the box, the staff doesn’t get to keep the change; it goes to corporate. Put some tip money in the labeled jar and take care of these folks, they’re rock stars.

Great coffee(try the Amoro Goyo), cheap, fast and friendly. If you’re near Parnassus, skip the line for burnt beans at Starbucks and go to the Terzetto cart instead.

Perfect place for a cup of coffee while walking through UCSF in the morning. There’s never a line(unlike at the 350 Parnassus Starbucks), and there are plenty of different coffees and pastries(and yogurt parfaits) to choose from. All the coffees I’ve tried were really good! I prefer their coffee over Peet’s or Starbucks. They also make espresso drinks, although I haven’t tried one yet.

Not someplace I’d go out of my way to get coffee, but it’s perfect for those working/studying at UCSF. The coffee is actually better than their espresso-based drinks(e.g., latte, mocha, etc). Reasonably priced and pretty good pastries too.

One cart in front of the Ambulatory Care Center, and another in front of the dental school. The one at the dental school is a bit larger, so it has snacks, sandwiches, and salads. Coffee is great, and employees are super friendly.

Cool little coffee/snack stand. Operators are very friendly, even checking to see which brew was the freshest for me. They had 4 different brewed coffees available at 3 pm. along with espresso drinks. The bottled water wasn’t very cold, but it was reasonably priced at a little over a buck.

I really enjoyed this coffee stand. It felt very European and San Francisco–(hipster-yuppy). The express stand actually stands out from the scene. This is a dark coffee color push cart that faces against a gray cement covering of the hospital. It invokes a neat feeling. Something like a stand that you would see at a rail station in Europe. The coffee is good, I had an Ethiopian blend, small for $ 1.75 even; a nice balanced tasted with the skim milk. The staff are nice and accommodating. It is a grab and go place, but enjoy the moment, really. I will come back; it beats a corporate coffee chain in my book. Cheers, Eleazar

i get coffee from this cart almost every morning on my way to work. i wasn’t a huge fan when i tried their macchiato, but their normal coffee is really good and pretty cheap [$ 1.75 for a normal, $ 1.90 for a large]. there are actually two of these coffee carts at parnassus. one is in front of the dentistry school entrance along the hill up to the main buildings of the campus, and the other cart that is more popular/busy is the one right across the street from the hospital.

Stopped by one morning for a latte and wasn’t too impressed. Might give their coffee a try next time, though I hope it’s better than Palio and the Nurseteria as both are cheaper XD

This is a coffee cart at 400 Parnassus, rather than a bricks & mortar business, so it’s not really a destination for coffee. But, if you’re near UCSF Medical center, don’t miss Caffe Terzetto Express. I get my daily double espresso from Bujar, who’s from Kosovo. He’s got a great spirit, is always listening to cool music, and the espresso’s unbeatable. If I get there too late in the day, they’re closed, and I have to go to 350 Parnassus, where, gulp, Starbucks is located. For two bucks there, you get a thimble of espresso, measured out by a computer like it’s friggin interferon or something. Starbucks doesn’t even smell like coffee these days. Caffe Terzetto is the opposite of that.

Valon and his crew are my saving grace every morning as I stumble into work still shaking off my early morning grogginess. On those particularly difficult mornings when making breakfast at home seems inhumane I treat myself to one of Terzetto’s yogurt parfaits, which I might add are the best I have ever tasted. Although I cannot beat the convenience of their location, I would definitely travel greater distances to get my Terzetto fix.

Ahh, the Terzetto Express cart at UCSF. My saving grace in the darkness of the Ambulatory Care Center, my light whilst I wait for my number to be called at the laboratory, my lunch in the form of the City’s most perfect mocha… Oh, oh, sorry, where was I? Terzetto is definitely my favorite coffee cart anywhere and anytime. The crew there(Eugene, Valon, Hunter, and Pawel) are super sweet, can make your drink super quick if you are on the run, or always have an extra minute to chat if you’re not. Definitely try the S’mores cookie and the original Mocha with whipped cream.
