Good, but $ 7 sandwich with heirloom tomato and egg was pretty small for the money.

After a less than delightful brunch @ Park Chow(read my review), the other half said we should go to the mission. After dropping by Anthony’s from some absolutely amazing cookies, we headed towards Rituals(read the reviews). Parked right out from was a food truck with simple black & white designs. I had read about this truck right here on Unilocal so… I got in line. I got myself an EAT — Egg Avocado Tomato — sandwich. The egg was cooked very nicely so that the yolk ran as I bit in. There was about half of an avocado present but they kept falling everywhere; making this usually clean eater look very clumsy. My favorite part was the yellow tomato because its extra acidity was able to cut through the creaminess of the egg yolk & the avocado. I got a little picky & asked for light garlic aioli but the wonderful server happily agreed. While tasty, I can actually put together this sandwich myself @ home for much less than $ 7.00. But hey, following fads comes @ a price & I got to check another thing off my food«bucket» list.

this truck is so yummy i’ve gotten up in the morning and stalked them to cure my hangover. everything is so fresh and delish. their eat sammie comes with a fried egg, avocado, and heirloom tomato on a pain de mie bun. the garlic aioli is so tasty and tangy. if you’d like to add bacon fer a buck fity more you can but the flavors are perfection without. tonight i had the dolores sammie. i wasn’t sure what i was getting myself into but i definitely arrived at delicious town. the chorizo was in patty form and made magical with the peacho de gallo, avocado, and tapatio aioli. yum yum yum

The comforts of brunch from a mobile gourmet food truck. The brunch menu included Toad in the Hole, Sour Batard French toast, Pork belly hash, Five herb egg salad toast, etc. Lots of Acme bread, housemade sauces, and eggs. Your food is cooked to order(I could actually hear the grill sizzling). * E.A.T. sandwich($ 7) : Fried egg, slices of avocado, 1 slice of heirloom tomato, drizzled with a creamy housemade garlic aioli on a soft, pillowy, buttery sweet toasted Acme pan de mie bun. The egg yolk is still liquid. Don’t pick it up and bite into it or you may find yourself covered in egg yolk. It’s delicious, fresh and cooked well. The fresh melon pieces were a lovely unexpected accompaniment. The coffee is missing but they were parked in Hayes Valley, close to Ritual and Blue Bottle. Cash only.

Finally made Off the Grid and LOVED the egg sandwich with heirloom tomatoes — and they serve it with a good-sized side salad! Super friendly counter people too! I’ll keep my eyes peeled for this food truck!

I had the pork belly hash and it was pretty good — served with 2 poached eggs. The potatoes were a bit under-seasoned. I ate most of it with the egg yolk. The problem with brunch box is its too expensive. the meal was $ 11 or $ 12 for a food truck! i can have a sit down meal at many places in the city for that price. Also, i waited at least 15 minutes after ordering with no one in line waiting…

I’ve been to Brunch Box twice now, one time at Off the Grid and another time in front of Sightglass Coffee, and would gladly go back again. The food definitely has a gourmet touch, and both the egg salad sandwich and the lamby(lamb sausage) sandwich were delicious. Having gone to Off the Grid a bunch I’ve certainly sampled my share of food trucks, and Brunch Box is one of the more memorable ones. On top of everything, the people are super nice and friendly!

Pretty lame that they don’t accept credit cards, but I guess I cant fault them for it because it says on Unilocal that they don’t. Get with the times though, damnit! But I was looking so forward to some good brunchyness so walking a million blocks to find an atm was worth it. I got the lamby sandwich, which was just freaking outrageous. I would only recommend it to people who like intense flavors, though. The lamb and goat cheese are really in your face! Get it? Anyway, I loved it. And my fiancé got the pancake soufflé. Also, tasty as hell! But sweet, so only get it if your in that sweet, creamy kind of foreplay… oops…I mean mood.

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. someone’s got a new favorite stop on the food truck scene. affordable homemade brunch served all day by super friendly babes? hellz yess. I’ve been wanting to try brunch box for a little bit now and finally made it out to ritual today right before they shut their window. I ordered the e.a.t.(fried egg, avocado, and heirloom tomatoes). oh my my. this $ 7 sandwich was exactly what I had hoped it would be. If only I could start every day with this guy… the garlic aioli spread was killer, the acme bun it came on tasted like it had just been pulled out of the oven, and the surprise addition of shallots and lemon gave it just the kick needed to take it to the next level. another surprise? a bonus green salad accompanied my sandwich. I would love to get their recipe for their house vinaigrette, spectacular! in summary– simple yet glorious comfort food made from local, high quality ingredients. the folks behind brunch box clearly have taste and lots of heart, and it shows. now if only I could convince the BB crew to drive their radical truck over to the east bay. I’ll keep my fingers crossed…

Beautiful truck, great food, and very well-located! They park in front of places like Ritual and the Proxy Project in Hayes Valley — not in the middle of effing nowhere like many other trucks in the city. So far I’ve had the pork belly hash and the croque madame — both were delicious and very well-executed. The pork belly hash comes with TWO poached eggs, and the croque madame(along with a number of their other dishes) comes with a delightful side salad dressed with the most delicious lemon garlic vinaigrette. Overall I felt that the dishes were well-balanced and that the portion size was decent. Simple yet sophisticated brunch fare that you can take into your favorite coffee shop — what more could a girl ask for?

I was contemplating for the longest time if I should try this truck for lunch. Half their menu was sweet like the French toast or the pancakes. I don’t even like those for breakfast, so I was left to choose between an egg sandwich, a lamb sandwich, or pork belly hash. I chose another truck, but I still tried some of the lamb sandwich and the pork belly hash. The poached eggs from the hash were a bit too runny for me and the pork belly was not the best choice to go with a hash. While it was flavorful, I couldn’t get over eating a meat that was almost pure fat. It wasn’t pleasant texturally either. The lamb was also an odd protein to choose to go with a brunch sandwich. On top of that, the prices were expensive for a truck. Yes, you might be getting restaurant-quality food, but you’re also paying for it. A nice sit-in restaurant beats this type of food truck any day, even if I do have to pay a few dollars more.

I had the goat cheese, fried egg, and merguez sausage sandwich while they were at Off the Grid. It was like being slapped in the face with deliciousness. And then you bite into the yolk… Best thing I had that night.

I got the lamby sandwich… Which honestly I thought was a bit odd. I just don’t know how well the tastes actually went together. It was a very good bread and veges and all, but the lamb didn’t match it and from bite to bite, usually the lamb was almost killed by the other ingredients. Not sure about that, I enjoyed it, but I don’t think I’d order it again. Maybe a small ingredient adjustment is in order. My wife however, got the pork belly hash, and it was simply fantastic. And huge. So that was nice.

Heard about this truck being at the OTG5M location today. I did have the Pork belly Hash. First of all it took like 15 minutes for me to receive my order. There were only two people ahead of me. It was a good dish. I the kale was a little tougher\chewier than what I am normally used to. The pork belly was tender. The poached eggs with a light hollandaise sauce was a nice touch. I am not sure if I would order it again. I am not sure if the dish with it’s size was worth $ 11. Especially when there are other pork belly dishes in other food trucks that are just as good if not better in larger portioned dishes for less. I may try this truck again to try their Acme bread.

I had the pork belly hash. it was small, but the pork belly was very tender and flavorful, however, the dish as a whole seemed a little too oily. If they food truck is in the area again, I’d definitely stop by and try something else.

They were at the«Truck Stop» on Mission in between First and Fremont. I ordered the«August Chop Salad». The price was 8 dollars. It had butter leaf lettuce, goat cheese, some dressing, and a dollop of chopped plums. The plums were fresh, as was the cheese. The menu says bacon, but I believe they forgot, or gave too little to find it. The taste of the salad was good, but it was *very* small, and made me feel cheated when I opened it up after I got back to work. A friend of mine got the«Lamby Sandwich»(which he enjoyed, and it seemed to be a fair deal for the amount of food), and it came in a standard-sized paper to-go box(around 7×7 inches square). My salad was in a box half that size. I don’t understand why a salad at 8 dollars would be so small. None of the ingredients were given in a volume that would incur a materials cost to them which would necessitate 8 dollars for that amount of salad. I like their style, and like to support new businesses, but not at the expense of having the price-to-value ratio experience I had yesterday.

Found them at the new truck stop on Mission and 1st. Ordered the Egg Salad Sandwich(five herb egg salad w/cherry tomatoes & watercress). It also came with a small romaine lettuce side salad. The sandwich was pretty good but comes nowhere close to competing with the Egg Salad Sandwich at Il Cane Rosso. I’ll probably try them again if the other truck lines are long and if I’m in a hurry. I’d like to see more«brunch» type items on the menu. Bonus points for serving all sandwiches with Acme Bread.

can i just say that i love the look of this truck? simple shades of black, gray and white. nothing too outstanding, as i imagine they want their food to stand out, not the truck. i got the ricotta pancake soufflé except i asked them to sub the plum wine compote for the strawberry rhubarb compote(from their french toast). they had no issue with that thank goodness. the pancake was in the shape of a muffin without the top. it was really moist, as all things ricotta should be. the strawberry rhubarb compote and whipped cream were a nice addition. i almost felt like i was eating a very moist strawberry shortcake, which i could never complain about. the lamb sandwich looked really good and their menu items sound appetizing. i have a feeling this truck is going to be sticking around for quite some time.
