I’m having their Kalamata Tapenade as well as their Edamame Hummus. The place is totally packed! :-)

We’ve been going to Blush for years and haven’t any issues until now. Sure there’s good ravioli, variety of wines and somewhat uncomfortable chairs; service can be slow and the ambiance ranges from nice couch, bar to picnic table. Ours was an issue of service and accommodation. My partner has a painful back condition that really is helped if he puts his feet up on another chair, which he’s done pretty much every time we’ve gone. We’re not talking reclining with feet up on a table but just propped up onto another chair so as to relieve the pressure coming up the legs from the concrete floors to his back. It’s certainly not a sign of disrespect. Every time we’ve been there nad he’s done there was never a reaction, no comments, nothing even if they’re busy. They’ve had a good track record of accommodation too. We bring our big serivce dog there regularly and never even had an eyelash batted at us. But for some reason tonight(which wasn’t busy) the staff was having none of the foot-raising. And instead of asking why his feet were up or asking him to put them down the rather animated(and jerky) security/staff skipped right ahead to kicking us out after curtly announcing that, «you need to leave right now.» And that was the end of our night. All in all the episode was more shocking to us more than anything else. It seems as if staff needs to get a refresher on customer service and empathy.

Love it here! Christopher is an amazing bartender. He knows his wine and isn’t afraid to give his phone number out. Wait. I mean… Seriously, he lived in Italy, studied sculpture, and isn’t afraid to give his honest opinions of the wine — which coincide with reality vs. being pretentiously vague and verbose. And he’s really interested in you _liking_what you order, too, helping you find what appeals vs. just getting drunk. Got the cheese plate that included a triple cream that was amazingly light and creamy, like butter, but better. But the cheese selecting seems to change daily. I’d trust it.

Cute wine bar in the Castro. The cheese plate was good, wasn’t really a fan of the sandwich I had though. It was the ricotta one. It’s a cute spot when you wanna get together with a friend for some wine outside of your house.

Randomly found this place and woohoo! Happy hour gives you the opportunity to taste well-chosen, good brands of wines. People are nice, and the atmosphere is lovely as well.

The wine and cheese atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is incredible. Finding out that we are from Texas the bartender was happy to tell us places to go. Even in Texas I have never experienced a warm and homey experience. This was customer service at its best! A must see and a place we will return to again, when we are in San Francisco!!!

It was my going away party for work and we really did it right! My co-workers/x-coworkers now, are great to drink with, we drink all the time. And Blush didn’t disappoint. None of us. Sometimes, you go to a wine bar and have a glass of wine with a friend and sometimes you go to a wine bar and have some bottles with tons of friends cause you like to get drunk! Sometimes, you go to a wine bar and realize you pay way to much for you’re drinks, but not the case with Blush. I picked this place and my friends did what I wanted, it is my party, and I matter. Christopher took care of us and he was something to review. I had my Tinder date with me and all my worker friends and no one cared. He fit right in and Christopher took such care of us all. Sometimes you go to a wine bar and remember that what you’re drinking doesn’t really matter. But everything we drank matter. and it was good. Of course I was so stinking drunk I really did not care by the end of it all. In isolation, Thanks, Christopher! If I wast leaving this shithole town for bigger and better things I would come back tons and tell everyone I know to come to. Thanks Blush and Christopher for making my exit so memorable.

Cool little wine bar. The wine selection is pretty solid. I order a Pinot Grigio while my friend had a Cabernet. Typical wine bar food — small dishes so don’t come here starving! Perfect little place to catch up with friends over a nice glass(or several) of wine. Bonus: they have live music several nights a week which really adds to the ambiance. The only drawback is that it can get a little loud and the service was spotty. Overall fun place and definitely worth checking out. I mean who can go wrong with wine right?

What a fun find. This place offers happy hour specials every day for ½ off glasses of wine($ 5 – 6 for a generous pour of wine, me-thinks«yes!»). We haven’t tried any of their food, but will be trying their charcuterie or cheese plate at some point. The couple next to us ordered the cheese plate, which looked delicious and offered a generous portion of cheese/bread/spreads(not the typical miniscule portion of cheese I’ve come to expect when ordering one out at most wine bars in the city). Will definitely be back.

I watched the Americano social club at Fillmore Jazz Festival and have been meaning to go see them at Blush on Thursdays and I finally got a chance to do that. The bar was packed, but there was still enough space to stand, enjoy some music and grab a wine. They have a big wine menu. Slightly on the pricey side. I had a glass of Riesling for $ 11. But worth it for the music !

I called and left a message about reserving a table. I gave all of my information, but they did not return my call. When I arrived at the place, they told me they would be closing in 15 minutes for a private event. I have work in customer service/dining/bar for a long time. It is common courtesy to return all calls even if you cannot accommodate the party. They could have at least let me know so I could have made other arrangements. It was my birthday so it was pretty frustrating to have to scramble to find another place. I gave an additional star, because the place looked really cool and the server was prompt. I would like to come back and hopefully leave a better review.

A nice and chill wine bar with really nice bartenders. I made a comment about Barbera(they’re popping up on menus now and that makes me really happy) and the bartender gave me a taste of another bottle that he had sitting there. It’s a great place to come, chill, have a glass of wine and good conversation with a friend before or after dinner.

I think it’s saying something that I spent the entire day in Napa before coming to this wine bar, and I’m still sitting down to write this place a 4-star review.(Yes, I drank a lot of wine that day…) This is a really great place for a classy but simple get-together with a few friends. The atmosphere is casual but classy, not too loud or crowded while maintaining an energetic vibe. They’re open late and have a decent amount of seating, which means you can sit with a friend and chat comfortably into the night over a few glasses of wine. Of course, we should talk about the wine: Most importantly, this place has a huge selection of wines! They have wine of all kinds from all over the world, and many wines aren’t even on the menu, so ask the staff if you’re looking for something in particular. For someone like me, who admittedly doesn’t know much about the wine, the staff is really helpful. All you need to do is describe the type of taste you’re looking for and they’ll make sure you’re satisfied. They even let you taste a particular wine first before you get a full glass. The wine selection is mostly reasonably priced at ~$ 10 – 12 a glass, so you can feel fancy without paying too much for it. Important note: I didn’t try the food, but I’d like to! I’ll be back the next time I’m looking for a place to spend a quiet night out with a few friends.

Great wine, lovely atmosphere, excellent service. This is a great place to take someone right before dinner for a glass/bottle of wine. I say this because that’s exactly what we did — came here for a bottle of central coast CA Pinot before going out for sushi. Oh, and let’s discuss the insanely hot tattooed, muscle-bear bartender. OMFG. Yes. Yes. And, double-yes.

Came here a few times with some friends. 4−6pm happy hour on Monday through Friday which is amazing! Half off of glass of wines. The white wines are so delicious. We ordered the Burrata together once and it was delicious. I do love a good burrata. It’s a cheese that I’ve really fallen in love with. Anyways, this one was delicious as always. Protip: Go for happy hour!

I came here once for Happy Hour with a friend. No wait I missed it by 10 minutes… boo. Their Monday HH special is awesome, though. 50% off all glasses of wines! I’m going back just for that. Actually I would generally visit Blush for a glass of wine and maybe a charcuterie platter. The more substantial food menu has never appealed to me during all the times I’ve walked by, but I will probably give it a try sooner or later. The Burrata($ 10) is quite excellent, and I would recommend it. The bartenders are chill, and the service is nothing special. This wine bar really is about you and your friends. Come here, drink wine, and have a good time!

Love this joint! We came on a Thursday night after having dinner at Catch and the featured act for the evening was gypsy jazz. I can’t recall having heard gypsy jazz before so I was intrigued. Turns out the band was good. They played some lively show tunes and a number of popular tunes that are well familiar to anyone with some semblance of popular American culture. We wanted a relaxing evening with good wine and good live music. Well, this place more than delivered.

Sometimes, you go to a wine bar and have a nice glass of wine with a friend. Sometimes, you go to a wine bar, pay $ 13 for a mediocre red, and realize halfway through that you’d be happier with a $ 2PBR. Sophistication stings. And sometimes, you go to a wine bar and meet Christopher. You talk about what two 45-year-olds on a Tinder date looks like. You talk about artisanal Christmas tree farms in Vermont. You get another pour even though they’re closed. You talk about whether trust fund babies’ burden falls on them or their friends. You drink a non-Chimay Belgian out of a Chimay glass because you embrace blasphemy. You talk about the merits of tattooing a Twitter bird on your back. Yes, sometimes you go to a wine bar and remember that what you’re drinking doesn’t really matter. In isolation, $ 13 glasses of wine are almost never worth it. But combine great company with a great bartender, and you’ve got yourself a deal. Thanks, Christopher! Save the first tree for us.

What a wonderful wine bar! Very friendly and knowledgeable bartenders that make great wine recommendations. Intimate and classy ambience. Great for a date or to catch up with a friend. Good food(I had the escargot) and great wines! They even have fun events throughout the week. I’ll be coming back for Dirty Bingo on Monday nights!
