Quality and taste of food would be 5 stars. HOWEVER, every single time I pick up lunch they mess up my order. It’s almost a joke. My lunch break is quick and I don’t have time to dissect my salad before I go back to work. Today my fiesta salad was missing avocado. I also asked for no mango as it makes my throat itch. My salad was full of mango. Last week they left the croutons out of my make your own salad. It’s written on the paper. The week prior I ordered a bagel and cream cheese with bacon and avocado and they left out the cream cheese! .the list goes on and on. I would really like to continue to get lunch here but it is so ridiculous how consistent they are with messing up my order, and I don’t have time to come back, get my salad remade at a glacial pace, and offered a complimentary beverage. I just want what I ordered! Please please please can we see a change?! Our entire office feels the same way. Thank you in advance!

Many moons ago my coworker brought in two BFBs(Blue Fog Burrito) the day after our Christmas party. It didn’t just help the hangover, it changed my life. Fast forward two years and ~200 BFBs, I feel like I’m in an abusive relationship. For a while I would just remember back to that first BFB and all the good times despite continual disappointments. From being out of tortillas or eggs, to messing up my order(I’m lactarded) 50% of the time, or the abrasive nature of the staff– with the exception of the jolly cashier guy with the top-knot who made even the darkest of times a bit brighter– I was beginning to lose hope of ever getting back to how things used to be. Battered and bruised, I went out in search of a new love. Thrillist pointed me in the direction of the top 11 in SF, but each one was just not quite right. Too soggy or too small or dear-God-why-did-they-put-potatoes-in-this, each of these lovely breakfast burritos were consumed with my true love, the BFB, in mind. So I decided to call upon my first love once again. This time the lovely person who answered the phone REPEATEDMYORDERBACKTOCONFIRM. Astonished, I hurried over-cautious and guarded as my heart can’t take much more– when I arrived I was greeted with a smile and my order was perfect. Later that week, the same experience. Now I was beginning to believe, but consistency was never their strength. It’s now been a few months and I’ve never been happier. The experience from end to end is better than ever. They say people don’t change, well, blue fog market can . The big blue and the cold brew are great too.

Giving up. Takes forever to make a salad and the order is almost always wrong. 30 min for to-go salad. Insanity.

Neighborhood corner market that doesn’t stock bread, eggs, produce, paper towels, or anything else you may actually need. However, if you need a $ 15 sandwich or some Blue Bottle coffee this is your place.

The service has improved tremendously over the last couple years. The staff are polite, friendly and energetic. I live in the neighborhood so will stop in every now and then for a 6 pack of beer or a sandwich, or one of their ready made dinners… Would give it 4 stars bc the food is generally pretty good — BUT it’s really, really expensive(a can of soda is over $ 2…)

I’ve always enjoyed this café. I returned today after not having been there for a year or so because I moved. They no longer have their single drop coffee which I loved. Was disappointed. I ordered the Cali Club sandwich which was delicious! Fresh ingredients, flavorful turkey. A little pricey, $ 12.99 for a sandwich but it was really good. Big enough to share.

This place is always good but today I ordered a Greek salad with chicken and they forgot to put the chicken in even thought paid extra for it. Not too happy about that.

Blue Fog used to be amazing. Coffee was always so tasty and breakfast sandwiches were overpriced but so delicious it was almost justifiable. Now the coffee is so bad I have thrown out my last few cups and have forced myself to eat my breakfast sandwiches. I’m comparing their current quality to the past and they have been skimping on all of the ingredients and the time they put into it. Seems that they would rather serve a bad, cold product over serving great food and paying another person to work in the kitchen during the week. They charge customers enough to be fully staffed and put the same amount of product on their menu items as they used to. I used to love coming here and only be a little worried about how much I paid. Every time I go back I get angry I wasted my money. Get it together Blue Fog you used to be my favorite!

Came here again because I remembered how much I liked it when I lived around here… But something changed. Got their special breakfast sandwich, and the eggs did not appear to be real eggs, and the sandwich took about 15 minutes to make. Not sure how it stays so busy with the crazy prices and subpar ingredients.

They make the worst mocha ever. Just put chocolate syrup in it. It just tastes like corn syrup. The sandwhiches are great and rven though the staff is a revolving door most are pretty nice.

Three words: THEBIGBLUE. I am not a local, so I can see how this sandwich making it onto Thrillist can make it seemed overhyped. That being said, that sandwich and a cappuccino to go was one of the better takeout breakfasts I’ve had… across the country. I watched the sandwich be prepared fresh before my eyes, and the wonderful woman behind the counter was willing to make me a large cappuccino, even though they only had a small on the menu. I will return to SF, and I will come here for a quick breakfast bite if possible. Side Note: The prices were reasonable, considering the expensive nature of SF cuisine.

I gave this market 4 stars simply because I love the coffee there and it is a convenient spot to grab a cup. It’s also a very cute shop and there’s a little bench on the inside if you want to sit for a little with your coffee. They offer simple sugar, regular sugar as well as artificial sweetners for your latte so there is something for everyone! I get annoyed when coffee shops only have sugar. But anyway, I digress. I haven’t tried their baked goods or sandwiches but they look delicious! Just a little on the pricey side. Definitely worth the stop in on your way to work!

I’ve tried this place twice and been disappointed both times(especially considering how pricey it is). The first time, I ordered a sandwich with horseradish on it(which I usually love), but it had so much it was inedible. I tried scraping it off as much as I could, but the bread was soaked through and soggy so I ended up throwing most of it away. The second time I ordered the spinach salad. I should have asked for the dressing on the side. The box had a puddle of dressing at the bottom and the spinach leaves were sopping wet. Again, inedible. What could have been a healthy salad, was far from it with all the dressing he put on it. Bummer.

Blue Fog is a savior for those who are on the go, especially on this side of Marina that’s mostly residential. It’s an upscale market featuring an artisanal deli with build your own salads and paninis, the menu really caters to varying tastes! I wanted a healthy salad and my friend recommended the Fiesta Salad. $ 11 buys you — literally — a pound’s worth of lunch with leftovers for later. Black beans, romaine lettuce, jack cheese, mango, peppers and avocado. I swapped out the bleu cheese dressing for a lighter balsamic vinaigrette option. It was a delicious, satisfying lunch that I enjoyed at the park across the street. The only thing I didn’t like was that they drowned my salad in too much dressing. You can also find some fresh produce at expensive prices. The coffee menu should entice caffeine lovers since they offer Blue Bottle and Counter Culture coffee.

Coming here hungover with my friend for a lox bagel and coconut water has become a new tradition. Definitely one of the best bagels I’ve had in SF. Lots of cream cheese, perfectly toasted bagel, sprouts, cucumber and tomato FTW.

Came here for a quick coffee before going to a event. The shop is cute with a café counter and a sandwich counter. However, the staff was not as pleasant. My latte was thrown together with it spilling off the side. I let her know hey its spilling, can i get it wiped down or atleast another cup. She was so hesitant, and didn’t wipe it out. Off to the sugar and cream counter. all the sugar was rock hard! Even the ones in packets. I’m not sure if it was just old, or the temperature but it was very unappealing. Will not be going back.

Oh yes! Blue Fog kills the lunchtime game. Small, $ 7 salad will fill you up at least for the rest of the workday, maybe even the day. Adding protein, cheese & avocado will bring up the price, but that’s pretty much the case anywhere. My only complaint about Blue Fog is the lack of seating, put a bench outside or something!

I tried to get coffee and scone on my way to catch my bus. They managed to not make my coffee after 5 mins and after reminding them, they made it in 1 min. However, I still missed my bus by 30 seconds :( Coffee was good. Scone was a bit too buttery. Would not go again if I’m in a hurry.
