Popped in here for my first and only visit(so far) with my sister and her friend one night — it was suitably dark as dive bars should be. Of course being cat lovers, we were all intrigued by the name — and then we were all in LOVE with the cute cats drawn on the various menus. Our bartender was suitably aloof, bored and yet still provided us drinks and was not rude. The place was pretty quiet — and bonus: no sports playing on tvs that I can recall(I hate televisions playing constantly everywhere in public). I will definitely visit again!

My boyfriend and I come in here on Mondays for margaritas pretty often. The bartender there on Mondays(Katie?) is awesome, super attentive, and all around pleasant to be around. Drinks are reasonably priced and there’s always good music playing. Will miss this place when we leave SF in August :(

Jukebox is a complete scam. The bartenders skip songs they don’t like and refuse to refund your money. Drinks are okay… Nothing special, though to be fair, they were fairly cheap. Female bartender when we went last night(it was a Friday) was unnecessarily rude and unhelpful at all times. Would not recommend until they fire their bar staff and hire better ones.

this place is ok, but the jukebox in the front is a scam. if you don’t play a song the bartenders like then they will quickly skip it.

Let me preface this was saying — I’m not a dive bar person. While I can dig somewhere funky and unique far more than your average run-of-the-mill bar, a dive bar never has quite the same customers/feel to it, so I’m much more hesitant to try them out. That being said, Blind Cat is pretty awesome. THEHIGHLIGHTS. + Solid beer selection(and mostly all local brews, yay!) + No-nonsense bartender(but seriously, what kind of jerk tries to snack on things behind the bar?) + There’s apparently a cat somewhere in the bar? Very cool neighborhood bar, nice people, and good drinks to be found here.

Bearded bar tender tonight told lies to kick us out cause he didn’t like my boy’s appearance. It’s complete bullshit and this bar has become a «marina» hole in the mission. Fuck this bar.

The female bartender who was working last night was beyond rude. Someone said something about a customer being a bad doorman and she mistakingly thought it was friend and I. She proceeded to YELL at us to get out of the bar. I’ve never been so uncomfortable and simultaneously blindsided by confusion. No matter who said it, I’m really not sure why it would be grounds for kicking someone out of a bar. That barkeep clearly has mental issues and should not interface with the public in a high-stress position.

Cool dive bar, not too crowded. Fun jukebox in the corner and plentiful seating available at the bar or a couple booths. Great place to grab a reasonably priced drink, watch the Warriors game, and play some pool.

Spotted: hipster galore sketch from snl!!! Oh wait, this isn’t a funny sketch, it’s actually the blind cat crowd. Bring your beanie and your dads old wardrobe to fit in here

Why have a jukebox if you’re not going to allow paying customers to enjoy it? This bartender not only complained openly about not liking the music being played, she even turned it way down. If you want to have a few drinks and enjoy some r&b, don’t go here. If you like country music, this is the place for you.

In today’s bar scene where«dive bars» have become as intentionally themed and carefully curated as tiki bars and vampire strip clubs, in a neighborhood that has spun off more stereotypes than a long running soap opera, Blind Cat manages to hold its own as a true neighborhood dive. Love it or hate it, this spot is as real as they come and that is commendable.(As are the pours.)

What a great little dive bar. A good balance of hipsters and old men barflies means this place lacks pretentiousness. Grab a game of pool, pull up a spot at the bar or in one of the spacious booths. The bartender was friendly too, but what really sold me was soulful hit after hit on the jukebox.

Pinball and pool table. Wide open area in the middle could turn into a dance spot but it won’t. Its a really divy spot.

Ha a great time here last night! Met some awesome locals who I got to play pool with, it was one of the best times I’ve had playing pool. Also had fun playing the Dracula pinball machine even though I lost very fast. This bar has a great atmosphere to it, I’ll most likely make my way back.

I really do love this place. My absolute favorite bar in the mission to drink. They have an awesome jukebox that has a great variety of music. I played pool for the first time and had a blast. The drinks are well priced and considering there was only one bartender, we didn’t wait long to be served.

Blind Cat is a solid neighborhood bar. The selection of alcohol is decent, prices are reasonable, décor is not a focus, and the bartenders are chill. There’s a pool table and a Bram Stoker’s Dracula pinball machine. Last time I checked they even gave out free food from time to time.

It’s your classic hole in the wall mission dive bar. I live nearby so it is a good place to stop in and have a few drinks at, but I never plan on staying long. The sign outside is cute and there is some pretty interesting art inside to look at. There is one painting however that really creeps me out of this little kid — so beware. You’ll find a pool table in the back with graffiti art on the wall behind it. It’s a small place so you can quickly walk in and scope it out. The beer selection is pretty good, I had the Sculpin IPA last time I was there from Ballast Point in San Diego. They also had Dogfish head 90 minute IPA which is epic. I would ballpark they have 15 beers on draft. They have a modern jukebox which is always a good time. After the last time I was in I realized it is definitely a big hit for locals. It isn’t far off the beaten path of Mission St and Valencia but far enough to where not a lot of out of town people are going to find it.

Typically dive bar. Very laid back. 3 dollar well drinks. Pool is $ 1.50. Oh, my vodka cranberry was all vodka with a drop of cranberry, extra star for that.

Definitely the divey-est bar I’ve been to a long time. Cheap drinks & quite the environment. Brought my college buddy visiting from town here & we had a blast watching a baseball game & watching the regulars get wild. If you’re looking for lots of SF character & possibly the chance of leaving home with someone, this is probably your best bet. I guarantee it.
