Open from way before I get to work in the morning until 3pm (M — F), I love the idea of having a full-​service café right in my building. It isn’t huge (and isn’t famous like the Gapeteria or the Google cafes), but I find it to be just right.
The items are fresh and made to order. That probably explains the price of certain items. Breakfast is my favorite (lots of varieties to choose from), but the few times I’ve eaten there for lunch, i’ve been pretty happy. There are daily specials/​soups/​salads, but it seems that those are more hit or miss.
The girls who work there are super friendly, and they play all kinds of music on their ipod with speakers attached. Usually I’m not there long enough to hear an entire song, but from what I’ve heard, I like it. The café has also been going green recently with eco-​friendly plastic utensil. Gotta love that. Even a small change can be good for the environment, no?
I’ve been trying to become a better cook so bringing lunch has been key for practicing. If I ever give up that goal, I’d be more than happy to fall back on the Bay Café.
