To be perfectly honest, the crepes here are pretty average. I definitely came for the cute animal face on my crêpe. They have both sweet and savory crepes, but I’m pretty sure 95% of the people come here for the cute faces. The crepes are soft and a little on the thicker side and felt kind of soggy to me, especially with the ice cream and whipped cream, but they’re still a solid dessert/snack option in Japantown. $ 5 for a HAPPYFACECREPE. Choose: — cone or plate — ice cream(vanilla, green tea, chocolate, espresso, mango, strawberry, strawberry cheesecake) — sauce(condensed milk, chocolate, yogurt, fruit jams/sauces, honey) — whipped cream or none — additional toppings for additional $$, like fruit(+$ 0.75), nutella, almonds, peanut butter, etc I got mine in a cone with green tea ice cream, condensed milk, whipped cream and kiwi, which came out to be $ 6.25 after tax. TIPS: — Don’t get the whipped cream. Your crêpe ends up being 1 scoop of ice cream and then a ridiculous amount of cream — Don’t bother adding fruit. I added kiwi and there were maybe 3 tiny slices in the whole thing. Not even the equivalent of half a kiwi — It’s not actually very easy to eat the crêpe in a cone, even though it may be slightly cuter or better for pictures. A plate is definitely a lot easier for sharing as well. — CASHONLY!

Been here since my middle school days, so I knew about them before they made cute animal faces on their crepes. Why is that important? Because many people think that this crêpe eatery is known for just that. But no sir, no ma’am. The animals faces are cute and very appealing(I’ve snapped a few pictures myself), but overall their crepes are just darn DELICIOUS. I haven’t tried all that they’ve had to offer, but I’ve definitely never had a bad or even«just decent» crêpe. Their combinations go well with each other, and their crêpe skins(they have green tea skins!) aren’t too thick or too thin. Crêpe #10 has always been my personal favorite. This crêpe place is on my top(or maybe top 2) of go to dessert crêpe joints, and it takes a lot out of me to hold back getting a crêpe whenever I’m in Japan town.

We stop by for dessert every time we head into Japantown! With a wide variety of flavors including make your own crêpe, I always look forward to the cute surprise of how my crêpe will look like. As often as I’m here, they even make sure to keep the design in the season! I always need to take a photo of my crêpe before I devour it. This place is cash only so make sure you stop by the ATM! It gets pretty packed especially during festivals.

Firstly, make sure you bring cash when you visit Japan Center! There’s lots of food options and most of them are cash only. But this by far, is my favorite dessert spot. A happy face crêpe comes with icecream and whipped cream and fruit of choice for about $ 5. The crêpe skin is insanely soft and delicious. The icecream tastes like your average store bought icecream. The crêpe comes with a cute face usually made with small candies/pretzels/cereal. It is pretty filling and theres lots of combinations you can make with the different sauces and icecream. They also have a new green tea flavor crêpe skin which i haven’t tried yet but sure looks promising.

First time here. We were walking through Japan town and stumbled across this boba and crape place. There is seating around the area. I ordered the green tea with condensed milk with it on a plate. The green tea was delicious. My fiancé ordered the strawberry cheesecake ice cream wrapped with condensed milk. It is super cute with the happy faces made with pretzel and marshmallows on the scoop of ice cream. The boba is okay honeydew with boba was super sweet, but the build your own crape is a must try. There’s so many flavors and combinations.

I found this place while I was exploring Japantown with a friend of mine because there used to be another dessert shop near there that I had really liked during my last visit to SF. As a fan of crepes and Japanese twists on desserts, I decided to give it a try. There were so many options, it was almost overwhelming. As a lover of green tea, I got a green tea crêpe with green tea ice cream, strawberries and whipped cream. It was a huge portion and presented in such a cute manner with the toppings resembling eyes and ears. The green tea flavor was definitely prominent, a little bit sweet(but I enjoy sugar so I’m okay with that). The strawberries added freshness and a nice fruitiness that counterbalances the green tea really well. I liked this place a lot in japantown and will definitely return!

These crepes are adorable! I got a wrapped crêpe with green tea, strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream. The ice cream was a bit too sweet, but still delicious. It was perfect for eating while walking around, perhaps just not up the slopes of Pac Heights. There was a line but it moved really fast, and there is a bit of seating right outside the café. Adorable place and would come again!

Is it the cute factor that bumps up my review to five stars? Probably. The crepes with ice cream are pretty simple but the little figures that the artists make the desserts into make them too cute to eat! Sometimes the workers behind the counter will also make special cute ones(like Hello Kitty ones!) if you ask the right people very nicely. Seating outside is very limited but it’s fun to browse other stores in the area while munching down on the handheld cone shaped crepes. Unfortunately, when we went to this mall most stores were closed — make sure to come early!

5 stars for cuteness and taste! As I was waiting in line I didn’t realize that they made cute little faces for every order of crepes! I thought you had to special order it but no! They made it for everyone! Check out the cute crêpe creation I purchased!(Picture attached!) The line was so long but they were able to push customers through pretty quickly. When I see places with lines this long, I’m always thinking there’s a reason why it’s long! This place must be delicious! And lo and behold yes! It was! It’s a pretty cool concept, you choose the type of crêpe you want and then what you want in it. They have pictures of combinations they’ve already created so it’s easier. Most come with a scoop of ice cream! That’s where they design a random little face for you! The crêpe itself is not very sweet so when paired with sweeter ingredients it was well balanced. I got a strawberry cheesecake ice cream option with fresh whip cream and strawberries! It was option #10! So yummy! I loved seeing each crêpe hand made and then filled with toppings and rolled up like a cone! I will definitely be coming back in the future and getting multiple crepes!

How kawaii??? Usually every time I’m in Japantown, I hit up Sophie’s Crepes for some yum crepes. But this time I decided to try Belly Good’s for a change. Sis and I came to Japantown a few days ago for some wandering the stores and to try out the crepes of this place. I got the Vanilla Ice Cream with green tea crêpe along with nutella, red bean, strawberries, & whipped cream while my sis got the Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream with strawberries and whipped cream & nutella. They made hers like a mouse while mine was a bear, I think. Nonetheless, very very adorable & yummy too! I kinda like how Sophie’s Crepes’ crepes are like soft & crunchy, but Belly Good’s was soft but yummy & the cuteness made up for it. :)

This place have the cutiest crepes ever!!! It’s located inside the Japan center across from the acrade store. Don’t get this place mistaken from the other crêpe store. The other crêpe shop does not make cute faces on your crêpe. The workers here are really nice, they create animal faces using choclate chips, corn flakes, pretzels, m & m’s etc. The crêpe here is not bad but crepes are on the softer end of the crêpe spectrum, and its very mushy. The bottom of the crêpe is all whip cream which I don’t really like. Overall, presentation is 4 stars and taste is 3 stars.

The cutest crepes! Whenever I come to this area, I always insist on stopping by and getting a crêpe from here. It’s a small shop inside the Japan Town center. If you’re facing the pagoda after crossing the street, go to the plaza to the left of you(it’s a little confusing because there’s two wings). My cousin and I each got a custom ice cream crêpe and both crepes came out to be around $ 12. They have a clear window where you can watch them make and decorate the crepes. It gets pretty crowded on a weekend but we came on a Wednesday night so it wasn’t too bad. Not the best crepes I’ve had but pretty good overall. Usually I find that places that have cute/artsy looking foods don’t focus as much on the taste but the crepes were pleasantly yummy!

This place is so cute! It’s located inside the Japan center, so it’s a tad bit difficult to find. I have been waiting to go to this crêpe place since I saw it on Unilocal. They make faces on the crepes and turn it into animals and other characters. My crêpe was in the shape of a snowman. I think the crepes with ice cream look cuter, but it was too much for me, so I decided to just go with #13 without ice cream. They wrap it like an ice cream cone, and it’s a peel as you go type thing(kind of reminded me of chipotle). The crêpe was soft, and I liked the wrap. It was also strong enough that it didn’t fall apart while I was eating it. There was also just the right amount of stuffing that it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet or not sweet enough. I’d recommend visiting here if you like crepes, and also take a look around the stores that are there.

Cutest place to have a crêpe but not the best crêpe and green tea ice cream I have tasted… very friendly service with a lot of variety and a build ur own crêpe, limited seating but you can find seats elsewhere in the mall

4.5 stars. I was exhausted from preparing an event at Hotel Kabuki and needed something quick to eat. Someone at the front desk suggested Belly Good Crepes so I decided to give it a try. I thought they would have more savory crepes than the one I got, but it was so good that it didn’t matter. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Crêpe($ 6.50) which contained lettuce, onions, salmon, and cream cheese. So delicious. Every bite is full of flavorful — they really did not skimp out on ingredients. The crêpe itself was thicker than expected, but it was heavy. The service was fast and friendly. I can imagine this place gets busy during the day on weekends, but since I visited near closing time on a weekday, there was no line. I really want to come back to try their sweet crepes. The prices are super reasonable, and they have boba too! There are many great places to get crepes in Japantown, and I’m adding this one onto that list.

4.5 stars… Could this be the greatest and CUTEST crêpe place ever? Yes!!! This was my main reason why I was so excited to visit Japantown(other than Kabuki Theatre that is). The lines can be very long here… my friend and I went here in the early evening b/c it had slowed down a lot, but within the next 20 minutes, the line started to get all crazy again. Anyway, not only is this crêpe place delicious, it’s so friggin’ adorable! They make art out of your food… lol…well, animals specifically like bears and the characters from Angry Birds and such lol. I ordered a custom-made happy face crêpe with banana, whip cream, custard, cornflakes, and strawberry cheesecake(they decorated it to make it look like a bear) ice cream wrapped in a green tea crêpe… yes you read this right… green tea crêpe! It’s fucking delicious… oops…I mean it was very delicious ;) My friend ordered the #12-banana, strawberry, nutella, whip cream, vanilla ice cream(also in the shape of a bear), wrapped in a green tea crêpe. You can choose to have your crêpe served on a plate or as a wrap, and if you want regular crêpe or green tea crêpe. This place would have gotten five stars from me, but the green tea boba had to knock it down some lol… it tasted very good, but for some reason, there was just so much grit in that drink that my throat started to feel itchy… it actually made me more thirsty… but ehh, that’s ok… it was still a delicious drink. This totally made my night haha. Try this place out, it’s yummy and almost too good to eat. Cash only!

Never thought food could be so adorable! You can customize your own crepes or order off the menu. They shape the ice cream at the top of the crêpe into a cute little animal. I got the #2 crêpe with green tea ice cream, strawberries, red bean and whipped cream. My boyfriend got the #28 espresso ice cream with pudding. Both were so good and had a generous serving size for $ 7 each. The crepes were warm and soft!

I could not resist getting something here. In the Japan Center, which is a rather sleepy mall, this area was an epicenter of excitement and children’s laughter. No, seriously. It’s a simple concept. Wrap your ice cream and whipped cream in a crêpe, but make is damn cute. What’s beyond that, Japanese cute. And that is exactly what it is. They are artists at creating various animals, namely bears and roosters. I ordered a wrapped crêpe with matcha ice cream and honey. They put a pretzel stick, cocoa puffs, some type of chips, and a couple other items to complete the«look» of a bird perched on a branch on my crêpe(see photo!). So impressive. They do it quickly too! It was delicious, but even if it weren’t, I would have gotten it just for the novelty and photo.

This shop was located in the food court of the mall(same mall as Daiso) and there was a constant line up every time I passed by here. The crepes were affordable as they were under $ 10/each and you can actually let the staff know whether you want it on a plate or cone. The shop also sells bubble tea and ice cream as well. –Crêpe with flan — $ 5.75 I decided to order the crêpe with flan and no ice cream, as the weather in SF that day was terrible. The wait wasn’t too bad as it took around 10 minutes for my crêpe to be made, and note that these were easily shareable between 2 people! They had to be almost twice the size of the crepes at Millie Creperie. American. That’s why.(I joke: p). While the crêpe was super adorable and made a great Instagram-worthy pic, I felt it was a bit overhyped. The crêpe was a bit too soft and flappy, it didn’t really held up well without the cone paper and fell apart when I tried to eat it. I liked the crêpe at Millie Creperie more as the texture was right, not too thick and not chewy/doughy at the same time. The flans were delicious though and it was not too sweet, so the entire crêpe itself didn’t feel overly sweetened either. With that said, I was disappointed to find the ingredients filled up around 1⁄3 of the crêpe, and the rest was empty. Lastly, the decorations… I can’t remember what they used(other than pretzel) but it had a very strange texture and taste, it was like eating sweet wax.

Ahhhh, so KAWAII! Popular for their cute animal design presentation with their crepes — I was overwhelmed at how many options this place offers. You can customize your own crêpe or choose from 20+ different crêpe combos. Crepes were delish — ice cream was creamy and dense so it didn’t melt as fast, crêpe was on the softer side and not as crunchy like some places, great amount of fruits, filling and whipped cream. You have a choice getting your crêpe wrapped or on a plate — I chose mine on a plate since we had a table and I was able to sit down and enjoy it. Plus, I thought it wouldn’t be as messy. I do have to admit that I picked out the pretzels and cereal that were used for the animal design. I failed at taking out the animal’s eyes that were made out of chocolate chips and it totally threw off the flavor. Overall, cute, yummy crepes that will make you smile =) Great spot to try when you’re in Japantown. *CASHONLY*
