The service is AWSOME. The food tasted better 6 months ago. Why do I say that? Because the Carnitas that I got in my burrito was like shredded tree bark… OK so I was quite disturbed after my findings in my burrito, decided to give them a call the very next morning, spoke to the owner, he apologized to me said he had a meeting this morning with his staff and went over the recipes. Told him I wasn’t looking for a free ride just had to vent out my dissappointments, he ISTHEGREATESTRESTURANTOWNERINTHEWORLD. He took care of the problem. like I said the service and servers are great I now know where it came from!!!

I stopped by and had a burrito bowl today, and man was it a good choice! The carne asada burrito bowl hit the spot, and cashed in on the free agua fresca with the Unilocal check in offer. Bayshore taqueria is very good at making carne asada the right way, with nice grill marks and a great bite, and seasoned simply to let the beef flavor shine! The prices are very fair, this super asada bowl w guacamole and crema is only about $ 7.50. I hear there fish tacos are good, so I’ll have to come back and try seafood soon. Also, they make very good salsa, all have enough salt and a good amount of heat from the chiles. This place also has great service and a variety of sodas from Mexico, so stop by to try the carne asada tacos! Updated 1÷26÷15 I just bumped this place up to 5 stars, after several visits, and getting to Tarik the owner this place has become a go to win visiting SF. The salsa is very good, and with a Unilocal check in, Facebook, check in on Instagram or a photo he will give you an agua fresca or free chips and salsa. Come check this place out, definitely better than many places in the Mission, and just minutes away from there.

The nachos in this place are incredible! LOTS of cheese and meat and beans. This is the way nachos should be made. Tarik, the owner is very friendly and will sit and chat with you a bit while your meal is being prepared. I agree with the others about how they prepare carne asada, it tastes perfect when they make it. And yes the service is FAST. It’s always a joy to come in here.

We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked. Service was fast, and Tarik, the owner, was very friendly and made us feel welcomed! The BEST burrito I’ve ever had! You can order regular burrito or a «Baby Burrito». I ordered a «baby chicken burrito», and it was still too big for me! I was only able to eat half of it! Everything was fresh and tasty! Also got free chips and salsa sauce. Chips were not salty like many places, and sauce was very good! No complaints here. We will definitely be back!

Carne Asada Super Burrito was awesome. I have to try Carne Asada Super Tacos next time. The Aqua Fresca was refreshing.

The super quesadilla I got was thinner than most quesadillas in the mission, but it was very filled and thick(2.5″). I didn’t put any salsa on the quesadilla because all the flavor was there. Tasted very good. The flavors of the carnitas was delicious! I definitely will be checking out again. Good horchata. Chips were ok.

Came here on a Thursday around 1:40 Got helped right away. Ordered an al pastor burrito with extra pico de galo. It was excellent the ingredients were fresh and the tortilla was soft and warm. Good size also. They gave me free chips and salsa. There chili verde salsa tasted fresh and had a tiny kick. The chips are good not to salty. I would definetley be back to try the grilled chicken burrito with cheese . The people here are friendly too :)

This place and La Espiga de Oro are my favorite taquerias in the area. Both are equally good in my opinion and kick the pants off La Taqueria and El Farolito. I go to the La Espiga if I feel like walking and Bayshore Taqueria if I feel like driving. Bayshore Taqueria has the best carnitas in San Francisco and I’ve been almost everywhere. The salsas at Bayshore Taqueria are incredible. The fajita salad at Bayshore is also excellent. I would go here for pretty much anything! So tasty every single time.

The chips and salsa alone are reason to come here. The salsa’s are bomb. Unique and super tasty. The carnitas quesadilla was excellent. The carnitas was very good. Great texture and flavor. The people that work here are very nice and helpful. The cook brings your food to you too, which is a nice bonus. Very cool place!

Had a burrito here, and tried the Nachos. Everything purchased tasted fresh and yummy. I had a groupon deal. I’m glad I got two groupons for here b/c it was that good. The only setback might be the chips but it’s free so I don’t care for it. But my friend that got the nachos said the chips were a bit salty. I tried it I didn’t think it was, so I’m givin this a 5 star. I think you get off on Cesar chavez exit from highway 101 and then it’s around the corner. Owner was down to earth, super friendly & nice! He seemed pretty young in his late 20’s or 30’s(could be a family buisness-not sure) This place is Dog Friendly!!! If you have a doggie here, you just gotta eat outside in the patio area that has a roof covering, tables, seating, & windows. NOT inside the restaurant though. It looked like it’s inside though but it’s not. I came here on a super hot day so it was great sitting on the outside. Yey! My poochie was so happy just sitting there. Finally a place where I can bring him to eat too! But please do clean the seats afterward if your poochie is gonna sit there. That’s what I did b/c my doggie left foot prints on the chair. This is just out of respect. This place is a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back for more. Tip: If you have a groupon for this place you can’t get the free fresca drink offer for that Unilocal checkin. They don’t have self serve salsa but they do have self serve water. There are hot sauces bottles on the table. A tabasco sauce, a green one sauce(that’s my favorite b/c kind of soury) and another one that he said is super hot(and of course I didn’t try this. I was already very satisfied with the green one and the tabasco sauce). This place is worth trying if you like Taquerias. :) I can say one of my favorites.

I FELLINLOVE with their TACOSALAD! The homemade nacho bowl they put the salad in is TODIEFOR! The taste and quality of their carne asada tho. taste, ehh I’ve had better/quality, pretty tough and almost rubbery o. O If you go here. you MUST try the CARNITAS(pork) ITSSOOOODELICOUS! They also make there own nacho chips c(: The horchata is blah. you can tell its just a powdery mix)’: and once you drink it to the bottom. you’re guaranteed to see about a ½″ thick of mix resting at the bottom But anyways, FIVESTARSBECAUSETHEIRTACOSALADSAREAWESOME!

So I often get asked, «What are you?», to which I respond, «human». When I do tell them my ethnic make-up, I’ve once gotten the«Oh, I really like Chinese food», to which I responded, «Isn’t the orange chicken at Panda Express the best?» Well, that did the job. He gave me a crazy look and walked away. I love Panda Express’ orange chicken but I prefer Mexican food over Chinese food. And, although I have my all-time favorite taqueria in the Excelsior: Mexico Tipico, I’m always on a hunt for great lengua. And, I’ve found it at Bayshore Taqueria. Bayshore Taqueria is in the cutties across from the Old Clam House. The makeshift parking lot only fits three cars. Sadly, their operation hours are VERY limited which makes it difficult to visit regularly. On weekdays, they close at 7 pm. On Saturdays, they close at 5 pm and they’re closed on Sundays.(Update 6.10.15: Janet T. informed me that they now close at 3 pm Monday — Saturday. I called, and the employee confirmed this). *le sigh* They have an enclosed dog-friendly patio though. Yay! I judge a taqueria’s authenticity on the meats they offer. If they don’t offer tripas, buche, or lengua, I won’t bother visiting. Bayshore Taqueria offers lengua but not the other two but they offer other meats not found at other taquerias like tocino and jamon. I read that on Tuesdays, they offer fusion burritos like chicken adobo burritos. It would be awesome if they can offer various fusion burritos as a daily special every day. We had just come from happy hour at Holy Water so I was a bit tipsy, and of course wanted e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g off the menu(standard taqueria menu plus burrito bowls). This is a girl who once ordered $ 150 worth of hotel room service at 3 am then never ate the food because I had passed out. =X Anyhow, we ordered the Super Nachos w/carnitas($ 8.95) and two Lengua Super Burritos w/double meat($ 9.25 each). I like ordering double meat in burritos so I have leftovers for another meal. I really should NOT be in charge of ordering because we couldn’t even finish the nachos(also received complimentary chips), and we only managed to share ¼th of one burrito. The Super Nachos w/carnitas: came in a heaping mound of super crunchy chips topped with refried beans, melted shredded cheese, carintas, fresh pico de gallo, crema, and guac. I rarely order carnitas because I find it dry and a lot of taquerias season the sh*t out of it. Not here. The carnitas is super tender, moist, and lightly seasoned. I wish there was more than 4 pieces though. The nachos also needed more cheese. Only about ¼th of the chips had cheese on them. We were pretty stuffed by now but we had to try our Lengua Super Burritos: . I think I should have ordered it sans refried beans because it was too wet for my liking. It didn’t seem like we received double meat so Mr. NSS went back to the counter to inquire. The owner was nice enough to bring us out a bowl of lengua and sincerely apologized(this would never happen at other taquerias). We went to town on the bowl of lengua and saved our burritos for leftovers. Dat lengua doe. It was incredibly tender and moist, just like the carnitas. It’s on the blander side which is just fine by me. The texture was so soft like it had been stewing for hours, and not masked with commercial seasoning blends. Tater Tot was with us so we gave him a little piece and he went nuts over it. Tater Tot and furparents approved.

Insanely good Mexican food. Extremely fresh. Had their roasted pork burrito bowl. The chef said they used Victoria beer in the marinade. Flawless. I lived in Mexico for 2 years so I’ve had some really good roasted pork and this is easily top-3 of all time for me. Atmosphere was spacious and comfortable. Decent selection of beer. Service was great. Staff was friendly. Go.

Time: 2:07pm/62°F cloudy Purpose: After meeting near by, freeway was inching slowly on 101 north. Got to hit the streets instead. No rush for me, as my half of day was almost done. Ambiance: Located on busy Bayshore blvd across from the famous old clam house sits this taqueria. Next store is a grocery market of some type, never step foot in there. BT is a small eatery with all things simply gear for lunch and dinner crowd. Nothing gourmet here as most meats are cook sitting on warmers. The inside a backward L-shape counter couple of tables probably sits 5 at most. Very basic and simple set up for dine-in or to go. You can see the kitchen and the staff working, no hidden kitchen here. The outside seating area has an makeshift room. Welded iron bar with plexiglass and couple of tables is all there is. Lot next door for parking and is shared among other nearby businesses. Staff: Older guy maybe owner real friendly upon entry. When I ask him about lengua, he rush over. With toothpick in hand, pick up 2 – 3 pieces asking me to try. Other two girls just watch on went about their business. Wasn’t pushing for me to spend juat wishing I’ll spend. I was hungry at the time so, with or without samples, I still would’ve gotten something. I just acted out in suprise for him to feel proud about himself. All the other time, I wasn’t offer samples before. Weird! Cleanliness: Grade B, unkept tables outside with salsa and foil wrapping strewn around. Rice on seats was a turn off. Rotten produce bin, emitting foul odor when wind picks up, not part of taqueria though. This prompted me to leave premises, take it else to eat. Eats/Drinks: Lengua burrito $ 6.99 with horchata free( Unilocal check in deal). This sucker was huge, took me by suprise. I went with the basic whole wheat tortilla, black beans, lettuce, salsa, lengua, cheese. Hold sour cream and guacamole for this time around. First thing I went after was the lengua itself. Very tender bursting with flavors seasoned perfectly. No stiff pieces or anything close to it, even the salsa are house made. The chips were on the low end side, some were crunchy and some took effort to eat, chewy. I went ahead to deconstruct it, just to see what I’m in for. I would say, probably weights in well over 1.5lb. Best part was, I use the Unilocal check-in to get a large horchata. This off set a $ 3.25 value. So at $ 7.67 for a burrito plus the free drink, it’s a darn good deal. Main Features: Burritos, hot plates(varies), aqua fresca, carnitas. Products/Services: Taco, burrito, quesadilla, tosada, nachos, plates/bowls, torta, carne asada, chips/salsa, fajitas, shrimp, chicken, beef, vegetarian, margaritas, sangria, agua frescas. Taco Tuesdays, HH, Groupon deals, Unilocal check in offers, takes plastic. Punch Lines: Pleasing flavors, warm service, minimal seating, reasonably price, good portions, parking(difficult), HH, kitschy décor, outdoor setting, better than average, drool-worthy, always buzzing. Tradeoffs: Check-in with Unilocal gets you a drink to off set the price spent on your order. Kinda like a BOGO deal if use wisely. Final Thoughts: Now, this isn’t my first time here. I came here way back before the outdoor seating area was built. After numerous times its due, its due! My review is base on most recent experience. New or same owner doesn’t matter, can’t even tell the differences. Food is good in portions, flavors most importantly matches my billfold status. Great place to hit up for quick bite on the go. Keep in mind though, you’re here strictly for the food, so don’t complain about peeling paint and chunks of cement falling off.

Came here because of the $ 5 voucher redeemable for $ 10. It happened to be a raining day and the parking spot only can fit 3 cars. So found parking a by Jack in the Box and I decided to get the Carne Asada plate. The total was $ 10.95 but they took the voucher and didn’t nickel and dime me for the remaining. The to go order did miss the green onions I see another person who ate in had. The meat was of decent quality instead of the tendons and veins I normally get for what they call Carne Asada.

If your looking for the quintessential taqueria… look no further. Welcome to BAYSHORETACQUERIA. Located on Bayshore Blvd(right across the street from The Old Clam House). New ownership, huge improvement! They have a great menu. From tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, fajitas, salads & lots of breakfast items(huevos rancheros are my favorite). The staff is extreamly friendly, restaurant is clean and inviting. The prices are very affordable. The food is simply DELICIOUS. They are open Mon-Fri 10 – 7 and Sat 11 – 5. I know I’m definately returning! This place is a solid 5 stars!!!
