Ordered delivery of pad se ew with a request to add carrots, and mango and avocado spring rolls. The two stars are only because my food arrived quickly with Door Dash, and was hot and cold, respectively. And it wasn’t unsanitary or gross. just all wrong. The spring rolls contained the tiniest sliver of mango. I had to search for it, and no avocado. Basically a roll of lettuce. Served with the most un-peanutty peanut sauce I’ve ever experienced. The pad se ew came without carrots, and looked as if it’s pre-cooked noodles and chicken had just been warmed and tossed in the sauce. I’m used to this dish being a pan fried noodle, but no evidence of ever being in a pan is present. It also had about 4 undercooked broccoli florets. (What is with this american broccoli in my pad se ew? Why do thai places do this to me??) Anyway– lackluster in all ways. I’m really surprised it has such great reviews.

I ordered my meal via Caviar and had it delivered to my hotel. The Caviar experience was mostly good — the order came very quickly and the food was still warm. They didn’t include any plasticware though which caused me to need to get creative. The Pad Thai was okay but disappointing. Taste was so-so and though I ordered chicken in the Pad Thai there was also some random pieces of Tofu in it. The Sweet Sticky with Mango was good until I noticed A HAIRINIT. UCK. I really wish i had read some of the reviews before ordering my meal… it seems like lots of people end up with hair in their food.

Drunken noodles were delicious! Also got the massaman curry — the sauce was also delicious. But I ordered it as delivery and was super bummed to realize there was no rice! I’ve never had curry come without rice. Need that rice to soak up the sauce –my fault for not ordering it I guess. The beef in the curry wasn’t great — actually it wasn’t good at all that’s why I gave 3 instead of 4 stars. But the noodles were flavorful with good spice!

Happy hour was great. Had the Lychee mimosa, crispy rolls, and Thai Samosa. The mimosa was good while the rest was just ok, but the price is right :) Followed up with Tom Yum soup, Catfish Cha Cha, Pumpkin curry, and drunken noodle. All pretty good.

Came for the happy hour specials but discovered a gem of a restaurant and really delicious food! We had the crispy roll, roti, Thai samosa, and pork puff appetizers plus the panang curry with chicken. They also have a great happy hour wine flight for only $ 8! Everything was excellent and the price was really low for the quality and portions(though I think the happy our apps are sized a bit smaller than the regular apps menu). We asked for the curry to be spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat but you could still tell there was a lot of flavor. The green sauce served with the roti is also one of the best condiments I’ve had at a Thai restaurant. Service was kind and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

So, we stumbled upon this place for lunch today. Looked lovely when we entered. Only a few people there, very slow lunch on a Tuesday. Waiter seats us. I open my lunch menu and promptly notice a black hair inside the plastic part. I shrug it off as no big deal, and decide not to mention it to my friend, so as to not ruin her appetite. Service was rather slow, despite it not being very busy. We finally order two Thai iced teas, a Pad Thai and two curries(yellow and pumpkin). Drinks and food are served promptly and everything tastes good. We eat most of our curries and take the extra Pad Thai to go. Takes awhile for our waiter to bring the bill and charge us, but he finally does. No harm done. I decide to drink the rest of my iced tea as we are gathering our things… And that’s when I see it. A hair. A LONGBLACKHAIR at the bottom of my glass. It has been there the WHOLE time, unbeknownst to me. I almost barf. Naturally, I am grossed out. A perfectly decent meal has now been tainted. I recall seeing the first short black hair in the menu too. I wonder if there had been more hairs in our food. I call the waiter over to notify him. He apologizes. Then walks away. Oh. Dismayed, we get ready to go, when he runs over to give me a card for a… Wait for it… «A FREE glass of wine *with a $ 25 purchase*» Nope. No thanks. I had every hope of this being a perfectly normal, satisfactory, unremarkable meal. But finding a hair in my class coupled with them not really doing anything to remedy the situation left a bad taste in my mouth. Needless to say, I won’t be using that«Free Wine» card.

Three must orders here: 1. Papaya Salad 2. Basil Eggplant with Chicken 3. Pumpkin Curry with Pork The best thing about Baan is their ability to balance flavors. Nothing is every too salty, spicy, or greasy(including their eggplant which, if you’ve ever cooked eggplant, you should know how difficult this is). Their proteins somehow manage to stay moist and tender in curries that taste like they’ve been simmering for hours. For Thai, the prices are standard bit their portions are really generous!

I finally had a chance to check out this spot today and it was SWEET! Parking can be a frickin HASSLE but I was able to find parking a block away from the restaurant. Came here with a coworker and we were both ready to chow down, yeah. Once you get inside your ears are touched by some soothing music and the atmosphere of this place makes you want to relax and take a glass of wine. Just a nice relaxing place with an open floor. The plants and flowers here really brings out the culture of this place. The layout is just very well done. We were seated after entering and handed menus. The menu was perfect. There was a bunch of stuff that I had never tried but I wanted to keep it light seeing as that I am going to a dinner later on. I really liked the options that they offer in their lunch menu. Lots of SPICY options just the way I like it. Set it on fire please!!! I wound up getting the Drunken Noodles with chicken and a pomegranate lemonade while my co-worker ordered the Pad Thai. After the placing the order we both sat and enjoyed the restaurant. There were not a lot of folks in here around noon time which was a surprise because this particular area of the city tends to get fairly busy around lunch time. The big windows in the front are a very nice touch for this place because it allows a lot of good light to flow inside. When the food finally arrived it was time to CHOWDOWNFOLKS! First bite, it was like WOAH! Every place makes the Drunk Noodles aka Pad Kea Moa differently but this place made it very well, much appreciated. I tore this meal up folks. There was lots of good spice and flavor in this meal which in turn resulted in the creation of an INCREDIBLE meal. Yeah, it was the BOMBDIGGITY for sure. I think my only criticism would have been for a larger portion size but that is just me being picky! I was moderately full by the end of the meal. Well done. My co-worker enjoyed his meal and his dumplings. He also had a COKE! He loves that COKE! My final thoughts are that this place is definitely a place that I would suggest and recommend to others. Not sure about their dinner menu but the lunch menu gets the job done! #wereadytodoitagain

So I’ve been eyeing this place for a while. Finally walked in today and ordered take out. There was only one table eating on a Sunday afternoon. Chan Pad Pu is what I ordered. It came out really quick! It was surprising & I left a small tip as I usually do for takeout. I went home to enjoy and saw a straight, short, black hair in my bean sprouts. I then saw the same type of hair stuck to a noodle! Needless to say I was grossed out. The flavor is fine from the first couple of bites, but I easily lost my appetite after that. They have a 75⁄100 health score. I took a gamble and lost. I will not be returning.

DONOTORDERDELIVERYFROMTHISRESTAURANT. It took 2 hours to get our food after a promised delivery time of 1 hr. After repeated calls and false delivery times, they offered only to give us a $ 2 value iced coffee in compensation. The food was mediocre at best, probably because it was cold by the time it was delivered about an hour after being made. Save your money, tons of other good restaurants in the city.

Solid flavors, better than your average Thai spot. They accidentally delivered me an iced coffee instead of iced thai tea… other than that it’s a 5 star!

Tried this new place with friends for dinner! We were pretty impressed with the menu items! Very tasty and piquant flavor to all the dishes we ordered! I’m not a fan of spicy food and all the food seemed to make my mouth burn, even though we let them know not to make the items hot! That’s why the fifth star is missing. Even with the food being spicy, everything we ordered was extremely different than usual, which i loved. This was your average Thai restaurant but fancier! Menu was super long and there’s so many things we didn’t get a chance to try. We will be back :)

Dinner here. Real difficult to find street parking at dinner time 6−7pm. Finally got lucky in public meter lot at 8th and Irving as someone was pulling out. Food was excellent but portions were a little small compared to other Thai restaurants. Okay as we were not real hungry and did not want to take home or waste leftovers. Ate appetizers and shared main entrees family style. Rice is extra. Dessert was fried bananas, coconut ice cream and green rice pudding.

HAPPYHOUR!!! You must go. Seven days a week and a serious steal. $ 8 wine flights(very generous pours), $ 3 beers, $ 4snacks, and much more. The service is kind and non intrusive, sometimes requiring some prompting but it’s always a pleasant experience. Best Thai food I’ve had. Hands down. Authentic and the servers will give great recommendations. Only negative is that if you like really spicy stuff, like me, you have to really convince them cuz they are scared you can’t handle the heat ;-) MUSTTRY: drunken noodles, pork crispy puffs, mango avo fresh rolls, tom kha, chicken larb. Wine selection is really good for price point! I do not understand why this place isn’t packed with a line around the corner all the time. It’s gorgeous inside, the food is amazing, the service is great, and the prices are unbeatable.

Ordered pickup from Baan Restaurant & Wine Bar and was not impressed. I ordered the yellow curry, the drunken noodles, two orders of steamed rice, and a side of steamed broccoli. The yellow curry sauce was good and the carrots, potatoes, and onions were well cooked but the amount of chicken they gave was tiny. Not enough meat for an entrée, not worth the $ 12. The drunken noodles were not very good. This was disappointing because drunken noodles are a favorite dish of mine. The entire portion was tiny. Not very much chicken, vegetables, or even noodles, I’m not kidding, this was like 8oz of food total! Only 10 $ but still not worth it. The steamed rice was steamed rice nothing special or noteworthy about it. I was glad I added the steamed broccoli it was well cooked and added some much needed sustenance to this meal! Total came out to around $ 32 and shared between two people we were still hungry afterward. Would not come back.

I take the N train to and from dental school everyday, and pass by Baan every single day. And read their lovely sign saying«wine bar», and dream of being there instead of school. So finally, I decided I have to get off the train and try the wine bar out. I met some friends there, but we missed happy hour(because I was in class as always). The wine menu was actually not that exciting, so we went with the sangrias, which were good. But more importantly, you have to try the appetizers. We liked all of them! They have a great kick to all of them. The crab fried rice was also really good. Overall, great spot. Now, I have to try the wine bar across the street.

Happy hour?! Yes please! Really nice and cheap wine and sake flights. I’ve tried the red wine and sake flights — both were really really nice. I actually haven’t made it to the actual happy hour(we tried… but missed the mark by 2 minutes), but I’ve seen the HH menu. Super cheap prices for both alcohol and food. And I do have to say, their food is REALLY really tasty. My favorite dish, BYFAR, is their Tom Yum Soup. My GOODNESS. So so so good. And I love that you can customize your spice level. And BEWARE, if you ask for very spicy, it’s SPICY. They don’t hold back. I can handle some extremely spicy foods, but their«really spicy» is painful haha. Just wanted to give you guys a good enough warning. Tom Yum Fried Rice is also really really good and my boyfriend loves their angry prawns. Basically, we haven’t had a dish here that we didn’t like. We’ll be coming back for HH… hopefully making it next time.

Think kind of expensive Thai food, that’s what I think of when I think of this place. Ordered delivery and it took over an hour for delivery… I hard ever order delivery, but it can take up to 90 minutes. We had the pumpkin curry, curry noodles, pad se ew, pad thai, basil eggplant, salmon something, mango salad, and a couple of other dishes. I think the best thing was the free expresso crème brûlée which you get free when you order $ 50 or more online. Overall, it’s alright, but I don’t think I would seek this place out.

Nice atmosphere but the food here was just okay. I got the pineapple fried rice which really lacked flavor. My friend got the mongolian beef which nearly burned her tongue off from being too spicy. They did have a nice choice of wine flights though. Wouldn’t go back here based on the food.
