This was my fav restaurant to come to in sf. Hopefully they will open up again because I was sad to see that they were closed when planning to go. Bacon wrapped prawns were amazing enough to kill and go to the electric chair over. Lol

Awesome little place with great food. Stayed across the street at the Marriott. Why did you have to close?

Great beer and wine selection, awesome pizza. Like Italian level. Really good stake. Looks from the outside maybe misleading, this place is great.

My cousin and I stepped in here for a drink and a snack. This bar is gorgeous and was perfect for a quick stop and a bite. I would love to come back for a full meal. I also noticed they have a happy hour that looks okay. I ordered the centennial cocktail which had vodka, grenadine, and some other goodness — it was very tasty. We shared some garlic fries and they were the perfect skinny kind that I love. I don’t know when I’ll be back but I will!

Saw a documentary special presentation at the Metreon and came here after with Joel Selvin, music journalist. Got a non-alcoholic beverage that was fruity. Decent space. Would come back for food.

Good place for lunch in SF. Service was very good and the wines by the glass hit the spot.

Great late night place to come for drinks and small plate/appetizers. If you ever get a chance the shrimp wrapped in bacon are a must have! The spicy aioli mixed with the crispy bacon and juicy shrimp is worth every penny. Calamari is also a must and their Cesar salad w/anchovies is in my fav list of salads. Best to either come early or a bit later to bypass the crowds and grab a table. The wait are usually ultra friendly and on it, sometimes it can be slower but very rarely has that happened to us. Monday nights were fun, they had a crazy bartender who really worked the music and crowd. But I also enjoy the quiet nights that are just as enjoyable. Only reason for the 4 stars is some of the prices are a bit much and the space can get packed and it doesn’t accommodate bigger crowds as well. Groups larger than 4 aren’t recommended.

Management was absolutely horrendous. A bunch of us came over for happy hour and we spent hundreds upon hundreds of are on drinks, shots, ect. One of the guys kicked our friends gym bag and another one shockingly to our surprise put his hands on our friend. She had a drink in her hand and she poked her head out to tell us not to leave with out her and the guy that worked there thought it was ok to put his hands on her and grab her aggressively. Definitely not ok and definitely not coming back. Horrendous.

I’m very sorry to say that Annabelle’s has since changed their executive chef, and the menu has taken a turn for the worse. What was a fantastic(and plain) steak is now covered in bleu cheese, and they took the potato gratin off the menu. What a bummer. Downgrading to 2 stars.

I have only been here once so my rating is based off that experience. The services was great and the food I had was tasty. I had the tomato soup, brussel sprouts and salad. I really liked the ambiance here and it is a 5 minute walk from my work so that’s convenient. I will go here again and see if it is consistent. Overall a nice place to eat.

It was late when we came here after watching a movie at the Metreon but the kitchen still open until midnight. We sat at the bar ordered couple of rum and coke and couple of beers and rigatoni and mushroom pizza. The food is good I will go back for the food and the price. The bartender was friendly and even the place is a tourist area I am amazed the food is good and the price is not tourist price either.

I’m not too sure how to feel about Annabelle’s. Came here with a large group of about seven a couple of months ago after a concert in Yuerba Buena. Since this was walking distance, we decided to stop by here. Well, after getting there the host said the dining area closed about 10 minutes ago, and only the bar area is open. Do’h! After another 15 minutes of contemplating where else we could go, the manager decided to let us sit in the dining area and eat after all! Hooray! I ended up getting the margherita pizza. It was okay. Nothing to rave about. The drinks and the complimentary bread was really good! Not much of kids options, and service was meh. Huge brownie points to the manager though for stepping up. Minus a star for his clueless hostess. Their are definitely better options downtown, you just have to know where to look. Anabelle’s would be at the bottom of my list.

Annabelle’s recovered from some kind of almost awful experience. Hungry Texans waiting on food. Burned pizza. They can’t serve. Hungry Texans waiting on food. Drinks empty. Be sure to take them some complimentary soup while they wait and ‘splain to them their food will be remade. Good job, Annabelle’s. You have smartly recovered yourself! Soup, delicious. Pizza, probably would have been delicious burned. Fresh. Dark. Sexy. Annabelle’s.

We came here to eat dinner before our movie at the AMC Metreon and it was literally just a couple minutes away walking so that was perfect! APPETIZERS –Bread: came with salted butter! –Steamed mussels: the sauce was really yummy… we even started dipping the bread in it too haha YUM –Fried calamari & chilis: you can’t really go wrong with calamari! ENTREES Mushroom pizza: –includes garlic alfredo, mixed mushrooms, goat cheese, mozzarella –if you don’t like goat cheese, don’t get it bc don’t think it’ll just be a little bit. It’s a naturally strong taste so it’s definitely there on the pizza –BUT…it wasn’t overwhelming either and i really enjoyed it! –Oh and i also liked this pizza more than the housemade sausage pizza Housemade sausage pizza: –includes caramelized onions and tomato basil sauce –I usually really like caramelized onions, but somehow they just tasted really soggy here and I didn’t like the taste at all Lol don’t get a pizza for yourself. You should split it if you’re also doing appetizers. i don’t know why we each got a whole pizza… I think we were just really hungry and got greedy): We each ended up only finishing half of our pizzas so we took them to go. 4 boxes to go… fail. DESSERT Mascarpone Cheesecake –Hazelnut crust, strawberry compote, balsamic reduction –very yummy and not too rich DRINKS –I really liked«The Berry End»…it was fruity and just the right sweetness! Everyone else got ginger beer and Moscow Mules. I like this place but it wasn’t AMAZING… it was good food but nothing stood out too much. The ambiance and service definitely upped my rating though. Also, this place is more expensive than what I would have expected from $$.

After a disparaging summer adventure of running on Market Street with my SoCal friend, we decided to stop. We had officially missed our event. Next move was for her to Unilocal a place to eat. Annabelle’s is what she chose so here we went walking another few blocks back. LOL When we stepped foot into Annabelle’s, a hostess greeted us and said we would need to wait 10 minutes for a table for 2 to be available. Instead of waiting I went to the restroom briefly and washed my hands. By the time I went out, it turns out a table was ready for us already. After seated, we were friendly greeted by our waiter and given time to browse through the lunch menu. I chose the Cioppino and since we wanted garlic fries, so we also ordered Oliver’s Butchery Burger which included a side of garlic fries. Cioppino was definitely our favorite for that lunch. I was excited to finally try it. The flavor was great including the muscles, shrimp, clams, and delicious sauce. Garlic fries were good too. The burger was very dry especially on the outside and had no flavor. Ketchup helped. I only ate half because we shared both items. Bread with butter was okay. All in all, service was fine, the waiter checked on us every now and then, and a 2nd host(assuming he came in after changing shift with the first hostess) also checked on us as well near the end and bid us farewell. Service and atmosphere was nice. Cleanliness of this bistro was quaint. I had a nice time.

Always a great time at Annabelle’s! I’ve been here twice, and both times, Katie was my server. She’s a friend of the boy, so she definitely treated us well! But I’ve never experienced bad service from any of the other staff, either. Happy hour is great [I believe you save 25% off food, and they have set prices for wine /beer /well drinks], and it’s super super reasonable. Dinner is awesome as well. I loooove the tomato soup. And the caprese salad is light, yet substantial [does that make sense?!] Tomatoes rule my life. Their pizzas are also really good — I love the texture of the crust. I also was able to taste the pork [SOGOOD] and cioppino [very unique]. I don’t remember what I ate the first time I was here — plates just kept coming out! — but everything I’ve had here was exceptional. My favorite spot in SF for sure.

The food is good and tge location is great but… I went there with 2 friends for lunch we had: tomato parmesian bisque, Caesar’s salda, beef sandwich and grilled salmon. The food was really good. What ruined everything for us was that at the end of the meal we got a check and the amount charged on the card differ a bit. When my friend confronted the waiter about it, the waiter explained in a very very rude way. We tried to understand what happened but kept on getting rude comments from the waiter. I cannot give more stars due to that experience.

This place was all over my radius when finding a place to eat real late night. I honestly would have gone to Press Club if it opened this late on a Sunday, but the experience didn’t disappoint. I got appointed a really relaxed waitress who to me didn’t feel like a waitress. She wasn’t bad nor was she rude in anyway, she gave off a feeling of comfort and able to talk to her without it feeling like she’s serving you. ITWASGREAT. We sat in the bar area hoping to just grab some beers only to find my date quickly order the mushroom pizza which was described so utterly good in the menu they had. In less than 15 mins the meal came and it was silent. You know the meal is good when the date gets quiet during eating. I would love to come back and order something more where you use a fork and spoon to operate rather than your hands. I WILLBEBACK!

The food here is fantastic, as are the drinks. However, the service is the ONLY reason I’m giving Annabelle’s Bar & Bistro only 3 stars, instead of 5. When we arrived, we just wanted to grab some drinks and desserts, maybe an appetizer or two. We were informed that the diningroom was now closed(it wasn’t even 10 pm!)…but that we could sit in the bar. Where there were no tables available. But this didn’t seem to deter the host, who decided to seat us at someone else’s table WITH them, without asking the other people(or us!) if that would be okay! It was VERY awkward, and the other people were so uncomfortable by having their evening invaded by the 8 of us, that they immediately left. So, to be clear, Annabelle’s host intentionally drove off existing customers in order to accommodate new customers. That’s not good business sense, is it? We had to beg for food menus, waited forever for our drinks, and Bridget the waitress dumped most of my lemon drop in my lap… and then just left. We had to ask the bartender for napkins to mop up the sticky spill from my lap and shoes, and I was left with only a small amount of my beverage. Bridget did not bring me a new one, and she charged me FULLPRICE for my partial cocktail… maybe she figured that she’d given me the whole thing, even though most of it went in my lap! Talk about BADSERVICE!!! Anyway, I realize bad nights can happen at any place, and like I said, the food is superb. I will probably go back sometime, but I’ll be more assertive about not wanting to be sat awkwardly with strangers, and ask for a different server. My wardrobe simply cannot afford another encounter with Bridget!
