This is my go to when I want Phở. Very clean and yummy. But if you want workers who know English so you can communicate with to get your order right, forget about it not gonna happen!

Don’t be here if you want to play a «memory» game. Been here couple times and the young waitress always try to remember our order without writing down. And absolutely she mess up all the time. Add more stuff and charge me for that. The food is full of MSG. I am not gonna come back here. And make sure you put the tip on cash if you don’t want they lose it. Absolutely disgusting.

Soup is good. The service is terrible. Much smaller portions and higher prices than Phở Santee.

Great food but their service needs work. I think they are understaffed. Every time I call in an order for pick up, there is always an issue with lost phone orders.

I come here all the time for lunch. Service is always quick and nice. I’ve never had a problem here so far but I usually come at times when it isn’t busy. I have heard of people having issues with their orders but these are mostly small mistakes that can be easily fixed. The phở is always to my satisfaction. I really like their chicken phở for days when I want a leaner meal but they have bomb beef phở for when I need to go classic. The only item I’ve had that isn’t phở is their spring rolls which are pretty great too.

I didn’t even tip. I left a note on the receipt telling them to maybe refill my glass, and bring us napkins and a spoon. I got no service there at all. Just took out order and seemed incapable of writing it down so she asked us three times in a row and tried to memorize it. Just seemed careless. Food was mediocre . worst peanut sauce ever.

I finally got my husband to love Phở because of this place. We eat here about once a week(and sometimes more) and it is always fresh, full of flavor and prepared quickly. They have the best Phở Ga(chicken) we’ve had, though we usually get the Phở Tai. We also enjoy their egg rolls because they are crispy and have good veggies in them. My husband would eat here every day, if I let him(I need a little more diversity :)).

So disappointed the last time I was here. The service is usually so quick. It was awful the fresh rollS were foul! It made me gag. After waiting 40 min and seeing all the to go orders be put out. I got so angry I asked for the check and magically my Phở was done. I said no I do not want it. It was such BS to have a million to go orders sitting when you have hungry people right in front of your face. GETITTOGETHER. I wish they would actually read their reviews. All well at least you get to:)

This place used to be decent, not great but decent for a quick phở fix. Today, everything was blah! Spring rolls were more like winter rolls, no flavor at all. They put Sambal Oelek(not the norm) in the peanut sauce, but still managed to not have any flavor. Phở was lacking in bright flavor we are used to. Thai basil looked like it had been devoured by many bugs! Very disappointing experience this time. We won’t be back. The hipsters, everywhere, talking about how good everything was, was disturbing. Decent once but no more! Great Vietnamese food and great service go to Saigon on El Cajon Blvd across from Hoover High School, you won’t be disappointed.

I like this place for its low prices, huge portions, and quick service. We sometimes stop in here on the way to Costco. Even their regular size is huge, and they give you tons of noodles. I also like their broth, which is seasoned just right for me. The only things I don’t like is how they only give you 1 lime and a sprig of basil, but I guess you can ask for more. Last time I had chicken phở in chicken broth, and there weren’t very many pieces of chicken, a fact which could also be improved. I also get the spring pork roll wrapped in rice paper. They give you two huge ones, and I eat one. That plus a bowl of phở is more than enough. My husband gets various other meals(never phở) and has always found them to be just fine. However, when it was really hot over the summer, we went in and their AC was not the best, so it was sweltering. Then again, maybe you shouldn’t eat phở in the summer.

I’ve heard people rave about phở ca dao and this place was the grossest phở I’ve ever had! Very tasteless chicken phở. The spring rolls were smelly and the peanut sauce that’s supposed to come with it was very watered down and not made correctly. Horrible service too. The server never came by not even to give us our check. I ordered the chicken phở and asked for all white meat and I received disgusting fatty, dark pieces of chicken. It was so hard to track down a server to send it back because they seated us all the way in the back. Check out my photo. I would never come here! I rather eat phở elsewhere. We also ordered a vermecili entrée and another chicken entrée. Everything was disgusting. I do not recommend this phở restaurant.

The spring rolls are to die for! The peanut sauce that comes with it is mouth watering. The Phở is delicious and so big that you have to take some home with you. The service is great as well! 2 thumbs up from 2 fluffy foodies

Go here for lunch usually with two or three co-workers. One waitress thinks she can memorize all the orders and never writes it down. EVERY time she’s messed something up because there are 3 – 4 people and we all order different things with different meats. Today she messed up my order and added shrimp to it when I didn’t want shrimp. I brought it to her attention and told her I’d eat it the way it was because I didn’t have time on my lunch break for them to remake anything, but told her I didn’t want to be charged for the shrimp because I didn’t order it. The bills came and mine only said what I ordered and nothing about an added charge for shrimp, so I assumed it hadn’t been added. When I went back to work and double checked the price online of what I had ordered it was lower than what my bill was. In essence they added the shrimp onto my bill. Hey if you’re going to think you’re on some next level waitress sh*t and memorize orders, maybe you should get them right. And if you get them wrong maybe you SHOULDN’T charge your customers for your mistakes! Wow what a thought. So annoyed!

The first time I was introduced to Phở Ca Dao, I dined in with family. Ever since then, I was hooked. This place just does it right. It has quickly become my go to spot for the delicious soup we all know and love. Lately, I order out. And I know what you’re thinking, take out noodle soup? You would think it would be soggy, room temperature regret in a Styrofoam cup. Envision cup of noodles. Well, not if it is made to order and packaged correctly. You might also think that they might skimp on the veggies, but I got a freshly bagged assortment of bean sprouts, limes, jalapeños, and basil. They also, upon my request, add white meat chicken and they bag it separately so that it doesn’t just blend into the broth… it actually is quite high quality meat, and I’m picky when it comes to chicken. While standing at the counter, waiting for our order, my wife and I were handed a glass of lime water each, even though we weren’t dining in. That’s service! We didn’t even ask! It is rare that you can order take out and feel like you brought the restaurant home. Well done, Phở Ca Dao! You have yet to disappoint me.

Love this place. It’s clean, staff is attentive. Food is FRESH and abundant. Prices are more than reasonable. We’ve been here many times and have never had less than a 5 star experience. They do take out if you want to order ahead. I ordered a build your own meal(choose 3 entrees). I got BBQ chicken, a pork chop and 2 egg rolls with broth and rice. I asked them to substitute the rice for veggies. They brought me veggies and rice(due to my Type 1 diabetes I try to eat lower carb. My splurge was the egg rolls). If you haven’t tried Vietnamese food, you should! !!

It’s a welcome sight to see a Phở place in Santee. The food is what you wold expect from Phở Ca Dao. I normally order #1 special so why change it up. As expected the phở was great, The service was fast, I would have given this place a «five» star but… Well we were given a choice of ordering a different type of noodle, the server said we can exchange the regular rice noodle for an udon style. We swapped the noodle for one of the phở order. We got our order and the noodles were not what we had order, I mentioned this to our server and he said that he forgot to mention to the cook when he placed the order. He didn’t offer to correct the error. We didn’t complain and just enjoyed our food. Bada-bing bada-boom that was our experience.
