So I never get my nails done but I wanted to do something with my daughter.
Lisa did an awesome job and Vy was also great for my daughter. Jennie was just as excited as we were! We just got mannis. Thank you ladies!!!

I have been coming here for years and I’m never disappointed! Calvin always knows how to do a great design when I saw him what I want from Pinterest! Tracy gives the best pedicure massage in life! When I tell Tracy to surprise me with a design she always does! She did an amazing job for my toes for my wedding! Jen did my manicure and did an awesome job! Toes done nails done eyebrows done! Thanks for making me beautiful! Also for making my fiancé’s toes look good! See y’all soon!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! Kelvin and Jennifer have out done themselves. They decorated and provide treats and drinks for mothers day, best nail salon!!! Sandwiches, sparkling cider, drinks, candy and sweets for all! Tha k you Kelvin and Jennifer.

My wife and Daughter have been there twice. Within one day nail polish is coming off.$ 100.00 for mani/​pedi with gel nail for one day? PASS NEVER AGAIN!

Okay so the last few places I’ve gone to have been absolutely horrible! and the ladies were rude as they get. When I walked into La Vie I was instantly welcomed by Lisa who did my mani she did a fabulous job btw, so she explained to me the prices and events they have going on and she was just an absolute delight. Looked very hygienic! All the ladies were very nice, I highly recommend going here, I’ve been to places all over east county and this one is the only one I’m going to from now on.

I only go to this place! I love how clean and sanitary they are. All the ladies know who I am and treat me very well. I get waxing, acrylics, and pedicures. Super flexible when scheduling! Do recommend making an appointment especially on weekends. Overall love the place and always keeping me in the loop on prices before they do the service so I know how much I am spending.

Easily the worst pedicure I have ever had! Although they give you a menu to pick the type and price of your pedicure, I was still charged $ 9.75 more than the menu stated. The sea salt was burning my skin… I’ve never had that happen elswhere. The massage felt like a 2 year old was doing it. I do NOT recommend this place.

Two weeks old gel/​shellac nails. No chips ! Only because my nails grew out that now I need a new set! Awesomeeee!

While I still experience the same issue here (mediocre massage), I have tried other places in Santee and still come back here. They have THE best color selection, I never have to wait, they do a very good job on the pedicure, and while very quiet, the girls are nice. The only other thing I would change is the plastic bags in the pedicure tub. I’m sure they’re for sanitization purposes, but I don’t like them. If I got a better massage, I would be set.

I have been loyal to this establishment for nearly 2 years with no problem whatsoever. I almost always never make an appointment, and yet they always find a way to get me in within 10 minutes of calling asking if there’s anyway I could get in. I only come for a wax (eyebrows, chin, and upper lip) and have never left disappointed. I do have German and Italian in me, so my hair comes in a bit thicker than most, but once my time is done, the woman makes it so that I look and feel beautiful after each session. Most of the time I get the same woman and other times it will be one other lady (I can’t think of their names right now) but these two always shape my eyebrows beautifully every time, never have to say what needs to be done, the lady will see it and take care of me. The experience is always quick and painless, with just a few tweezing here and there. The wax is never too hot, it’s just the right temperature. I never leave with wax on my face, unlike other places when I first started getting waxed, everything is cleaned up by the time I get up and look in the mirror they provide me with.
I have yet to get mani/​pedis because only I do my nails and don’t like when people touch my feet, so I cannot say anything on that, but regarding getting waxed, La Vie is my #1.

I just moved to Santee and come check out La Vie nails close to my bank for my Manicure. They are very friendly and nice, it make me feel so comfortables. I highly recommence everybody come at least once to try them. Keep up the good work guys.

Sucks! My daughter called and got a price for a fullset… of course once she’s done it’s $ 18 more than expected and the guy that she spoke with over the phone isn’t there, yet they acknowledged he quoted her the wrong price. To top it off, her nails looked like crap and fell off in a week.

I seldom leave reviews, especially bad ones, but for ladies that care about the health and strength of their real nails beneath the gel polish, steer clear.
I get gel manicures every two weeks and decided to try a new place due to convenience. I was originally impressed by the prompt service and relaxing atmosphere of this salon. Kelvin was doing my nails and I requested a gel manicure with a design. He didn’t have the exact design I was looking for, but offered alternate nail studs that I was happy with. Although those fell off less than an hour after I left the salon, he was happy to take the remaining ones off and finish my nails with another layer of clear gel, as well as refund my money for the design the same day.
When he started removing my old gel manicure, he used the drill (or electric file) to remove the top layer. This was normal, but after soaking my nails in acetone, he still used this tool to remove remaining gel from my bare nail. This was uncomfortable almost to the point of pain, and I expressed my concern about my nails becoming too thin. He told me not to worry.
Fast forward a week later, and of course my nails started to break one by one. When I removed the gel using a regular file and nail polish remover, my nails underneath were grotesquely thin, pliable, and both splitting and breaking. I haven’t seen this kind of damage since I stopped getting acrylic nails a year ago.
I called the salon and let Kelvin know that I would be leaving a bad review, and he asked me to come by. When I did, he berated me by saying my nails looked like this because of acrylics, which I already mentioned I haven’t had in a year. He also told me he doesn’t use the drill tool for gel manicures, which he definitely used when he did my nails.
His original solution for me: Keep getting gel manicures. I told him I would, but elsewhere. Then when I was leaving, he told me to give my nails a break from manicures. I was tired of arguing in front of the entire salon, so I left and let him know I would be leaving a review. This is when he told me he would have his legal team contact me if I left a «wrong» review.
Absolutely ridiculous! Feel free to have your lawyers contact me, just don’t destroy any more nails like you did mine.

I gave this shop 3 tries and I was left disappointed each time. My 1^st gel manicure, by Tracy, only lasted 1week before lifting/​chipping. My 2^nd gel manicure, by Mai, lasted 1 week before lifting. My 3^rd gel manicure, by idk (lady with toddler) is so thinly applied that my nails can bend. And it is never 15.99 as advertised on the window. And I dislike needing a translator to communicate in English. 3 strikes and you’re out.
…3 days later, my gel manicure was already starting to lift, fast forward to 8 days later: several nails are lifting.

Went yesterday to get a mani and pedi. They did a great job on my pedicure but not more than two hours later the nail polish on my fingernails starting chipping off. They look terrible. Will definitely have to think twice before I go to them again. Not a happy customer.

Just got a pedicure done and has been the best one by far. The staff here is amazing and extremely helpful. Drop by when you are in the area.

A really good place for getting nails done and especially pedicure. The chair is awesome and the work done is marvelous!

False advertising! There’s a sign outside their salon: $ 15.99 for shellac manicure. I went inside to give them a try. Before I even sat down, the lady tries to upsell me. For $ 7 more, I can cut your nails, clean your cuticles & give you a hand/​arm massage. I pointed to their sign; isn’t that included for $ 15.99. She said no. The $ 15.99 is only for the gel nail color. Hilarious! Are u kidding me? That sign they post outside, is just for u to come inside their store. They were trying to up sell everyone who came in. Just be honest & tell your clients what the «exact» price is for your services.

WHAT AN OVERALL HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
1. Had a $ 15.99 Shellac special = $ 34.00 manicure (using Shellac BTW) but stating «oh, you used gel» ummm — I believe I can read «S H E L L A C» on the bottle you’re using on my nails.
2. Manicure EXTREMELY short! OMG — HORRID! Nails were shorter than fingers, uneven, bumpy and after 1 week, now they are yellow and dingy.
3. Pedicure… $ 24.00 on pamphlet = $ 29.00 out of my pocket.
False advertising and just overall terrible experience — on to the next as they say.
I highly suggest you move on and find another salon — there’s too many out there to deal with horrible output.
