Hair By Kristina – Hair It Is, Etc.

I’ve been going to Kristina for a few years and she is great! I always get highlights and trims. She is very consistent and knows what she is doing. She also has a great personality so we spend the whole time talking and the time flies by. She is super flexible with her schedule and always accommodates my changing availability. I would recommend her to anyone that wants great hair!

Kristina is an amazing stylist! She makes wonderful suggestions for my hair and what works best for me as a client. I was impressed when she said that she could tell that I am a busy person and made suggestions of how she could color my hair so my roots don’t show if there are long spans between appointments. I love how Kristina was able to choose shades for my hair that compliment my skin tone. She does a great job and always makes me feel welcome. Everyone I met in the salon is also very warm and inviting — both the clients and stylists. I am so happy with my new hair and my experiences with Kristina. My fiancé also has his hair done by Kristina, he can be very picky, but he is always happy with her work.

After a devastating extension experience at another salon, I was just looking for someone to take them out… I was so over the torture of tape-​ins by a first-​timer. I was ready to face (Oh The HORROR!) short hair. I just lucked out to choose Kristina, who’s been in the extension game a long time and has had them herself for years. She saved my head!!! She fixed the disaster, she gave me beautiful, long hair !!! She’s an artist who will not settle for anything less than greatness. I enjoy our time together, she’s a cool chick, and the salon has a family feel. All the stylists are friendly and interesting. Maybe its not the place for the uptight, humorless type… ugh! go to Sears if you want that !! And be warned… Kristina’s a hugger!!! Love it!!!

Excellent at mens cuts. Tremendous value. I would pay double what Kristina charges and be happy to do it. She’s been cutting my hair for years and I’m looking forward to many more!

Just got a full highlight and haircut, by Kristina. Have been coming here for over 4 years to have her do my hair and she always does a fantastic job!

I’ll start off on a positive… She’s decent at color which is where the 1 star comes in. But for the price I’m sure you can get decent anywhere & walk out feeling much more satisfied elsewhere than you do by Kristina @ Hair It Is. Customer service — negative 10. She is always on her phone with personal drama & trashy language which I’m sure is why it takes her twice as long to get the job done. Her weekend availability is minimal at best due to her personal life. When we couldn’t find a Saturday that worked for us over the next 5 months I asked her for a recommendation on someone else in the salon who could accommodate me until we could get back on track with Saturdays. She acted insulted & told me she would see to it that no one else in the salon would see me because I was «her» client so if I wanted to continue seeing her then I would need to come in 1 of the 3 nights that she worked during the work week. I have extensions which takes her over 4 hours to do with a touch up color. I’m so over coming in at 4:30 & not leaving until 8:45pm after putting in an11-​hour work day. Since then I’ve found someone who does 1000% better quality work for less $ & in ½ the time it took her. No drama and/​or trash-​mouth to endure in the process either. My new stylist is actually available on weekends and in a much classier salon than this dump. Kristina basically only knows 1 style & that is to use a flat iron to make your hair stick to your head because that’s how she likes to wear her hair. I don’t care for this look & would always end up coming home to wash my hair out & start over to style & give some body to it. I had Kristina cut my son’s hair, she ended up cutting his ear so deep that he had to leave a bandage on it for a week. Do you think she offered to give him a discount for the cut to his ear — NOT! Kristina is all about $, not customer service. Her results are «beauty school» level at best. No thank you! My only regret is that I didn’t find my current stylist a year earlier. As for the other reviews on here I would proceed with caution as I’m sure most are friends or those she exchanges services for.

My daughter had her very first haircut with Kristina and it went perfectly! Kristina was so sweet and patient and she even saved her locks of hair and gave us a certificate commemorating her first haircut ever. Will definitely be back. Top notch service.

Kristina cut my hair just like I wanted it. It looks really great, and best of all she’s a sister in the Lord. highly recommended.

I went to Kristina to have a color correction, highlights, and a cut after a not so great hair experience else where. She is by far the best hair dresser I have ever had do my hair. She is dedicated and puts a lot of love and care into her clients so they are satisfied, she even ran out to the beauty store to get some more stuff for my hair! After she did my hair it no longer felt damaged and looks fantastic! I will be returning to her and no one else to have my hair done. I will definitely be telling everyone I know to go see her!

Kristina was great! I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted but I gave her a general idea, she spent time listening to me and was very nice and understanding… more than that I love my haircut, she did a great job, it came out better than I thought it would. The space was tidy, clean and a great price for a wash, cut and blow dry style. Thank you Kristina, I’ll definitely be back and telling all my friends.

This salon is awesome. It’s a great location, plenty of parking and a nice neighborhood! I have been getting my hair done by Kristina, for almost 5 years now. I love my hair each and everytime I leave her chair. It’s always exactly what I want and she does a great job! I would never go anywhere else!

Kristina does such a good job. My teenage son refuses to go to anyone else because she, in his word, «just knows what I like.» She also cuts my hair and the entire experience, from the point that I walk through the door to the time I walk out, leaves me feeling refreshed. There is such a positive energy in the salon that is unmatched in any other salon.
