Thanks for nothing. Ordered the nachos… «I’m sorry we are out» Ordered the sliders… «I’m sorry we don’t have buns» I don’t need to continue this story. I enjoyed coming here when they first opened. I guess we grew apart. See you never again whiskey tip… For food that is. The whiskey selection was good as were the bartenders. Unfortunately, I was really hungry.

I have been a long time customer of whiskey tip(previously gave it 5 stars) and the bar usually a place you could call«home bar.» However, David the Bouncer needs to be FIRED. Me and my fiancée have been coming here regularly for a while and have NEVER had problems with any bouncer or person. We were watching the game, walked out front to smoke a cigarette. David(the bouncer) said there were no in’s and out’s and said we had to smoke out back. Okay. No problem. My fiancée was asking him if that was a new rule because we have always smoke out front with no issues. Him and David exchanged some words and in the end, it ended up with the bouncers chasing my fiancée with handcuffs through the parking lot. PROVOKING him even. I tried to get the bar manager to help when it all started. He see’s us all the time and knows us and knows we don’t cause problems. All he did was talk to David the bouncer and said he won’t let him back in. BADCUSTOMERSERVICE. I know my fiancée pretty well(one would hope) and I know when he is being provoked. We don’t have problems where we go. We are mellow people. David needs to be fired. Will not be returning unless he is. And they need to think about they’re regulars a little more. Ridiculous.

Had a great time here and had the pleasure of attending their Burlesque night. Ordered the tatter tots, sweet potato fries and I must say the tots were probably the best I’ve had since grade school. Had a great DJ on set played my kind of music underground hip hop/trip hop nothing mainstream. Although very loud you can problem find a seat on the large outside deck. Seating is super fancy with recycled pallets and cushions. Other than that a nice place for a group or a date.

Hidden gem! Great folks, all kinds of bourbon and rye. Don’t judge by the exterior. Bartender knows what he’s doing. Would recommend.

Well not sure what crowd I want to draw here but I love this place. Casual, comfy. Great seating, inside and out. Staff is attentive, no struggling to get a drink. Great food as well. Glad there doesnt seem to be a bunch of «gangsters/young immature people». I would influence all country men to direct them selves to this location ;)

Monday night… Dead. Clean atmosphere, nice bartender… But not much going on this Monday. But wait!!! I gotta mention this– plastic cocktail cups. It looks like glass, but feels like plastic! That kinda tells me that this place is kind of a dive. Bathrooms are clean though. Just a quiet hole in the wall. I ordered a vodka/cran… Didn’t taste the pricey vodka I paid for. Oh well. Onto the next bar.

You could say I’m a regular at this bar and have been going in since they opened. Layla(one if the owners) was one of my favorite bartender at another unnamed location. And needless to say I have never returned no that she opened her own bar. It is always a good vibe and lots to do. Beer pong. Shuffle board. Corn hole and giant jenga in the amazing back patio area. The staff is amazing as well. And always dress awesome!

I will get to why I dinged it a couple of stars later in my review… I just recently went to the Whisky tip for the first time. And is it such an improvement from Giga’s bar. Giga’s was a nasty, dirty hole in the wall bar. Since the Whisky Tip was born, there have been many upgrades. And the place is a lot more inviting. The outdoor décor is my favorite. And absolutely love the lighting in the trees. I find something enchanting about lit up trees. I went to a little something called The Family Room. There were 2 dj rooms indoors. And 3 dj’s outside for«Silent Disco». With Silent Disco, you wear headphones. There are three channels to select from. Each channel has a color, green, red, blue. And those 3 channels corispond with the 3 dj’s playing side by side. I decided to only give this place 3 stars. Because I just«liked it». I didn’t «love it». I didn’t «dislike it». I just«liked it» And I have to say, they use a shot measuring cup for all drinks made. And they are pretty weak like Applebees. Which is a huge disappointment. At $ 7 a shot, you are going to go broke pretty quick! I generally order Jameson with 2 or 3 cubes. So, my 3 cubes floated in one measured shot of Jameson. That was a first!!! I understand that there is a lot of liability in owning a bar. I also I understand that there is a product deficit when you just pour and you need to keep track of product. And I understand they want to monitor how much you drink. But on the flipside, I would love to go get the most bang for my buck! And I definitely have my favorite bars that serve it up nice and stiff!

Pros: Has a Parking lot. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Cons: Drinks overpriced. Food overpriced. Too long when ordering drinks, it will may take awhile soo be papered. Be careful when they have special events, they close for 2hrs before the event and they will ask you to leave even if you are trying to finish the drinks. Its overrated, move on and go elsewhere.

Despite its location and rather industrial looking building, this bar delivers the goods. Great cocktails, good bar food and live music on weekends. Not the place to take out-of-towners, but definitely a good spot for locals interested in a well run bar and a little tail feather shaking every now and again. A rather small bar area opens up to a downstairs section with pool tables and other drunk games, and boasts a huge outdoor back patio perfect for a long night of drunken pontificating with friends old or new.

There are generally two types of cocktail bars in Santa Rosa: divey neighborhood joints(like the Zoo), and upscale restaurant bars(like Jack and Tony’s). Whiskey Tip falls comfortably in the middle. This place is fun and casual with varied seating options and games, but you can still get an expertly made cocktail or high end whiskey. It reminds me of the best College bars, but tailored to a 25 – 50 year old clientele.

This place is one of a kind! Where do I start? Been going here with my buddy for a while and have enjoyed this place when it’s jam packed to just a handful of people. We were there last afternoon on a weekday so not too many people were partying their butts off. We got to talk with one of the bartenders(Chargers Fan) who really impressed. He was knowledgeable about whiskey and the different drinks the specialize in. I felt he was really committed to his craft. But what impressed me about him and Whiskey Tip was the owner pays for them to attend hosted tasting from the makers. What an investment in the people who work for you and the company your building. Since then we’ve been going back enjoying the drinks, staff, and atmosphere. It’s not in anyway a dive bar. It’s NOT in anyway a place where the locals just belly up to the bar and never leave. It’s a place where you can get the best manhattan in the North Bay. yeah I did just type that! It’s a place where you can find the best collection of top shelf whiskey. You will not be disappointed with the staff to the quality of drinks they make for you. they haven’t disappointment me yet. Okay, the rest of the bar consists of a large patio in the back for those amazing Sonoma county summer nights. They have large block Jenga which I can tell you first hand is a total blast. They also have the amazing Tater Bombs! It’s nothing but heaven relocating in your mouth. So, next time you want a really good Manhattan. drop everything and head here because they will not disappoint.

My wife and I went with an Amazon Local deal to check the joint out. Great bar but not a BBQ joint so sorry. Sonoma County is challenged when it comes to good BBQ unfortunately. My wife had the brisket plate and I had a rib plate. First clue is when you walk in and there’s no smokiness to the ambiance, The meat was tender from being steamed or whatever but had no smoke to the flavor and the sauce(which I prefer on the side) was just a basic commercial generic thing on the sweet side. I like to make my own rubs and sauces and this was severely lacking in both departments. The sides were not worth the bother to eat. I mean mac & cheese. c’mon! Service however was friendly and the bartender was great. Incredible whiskey selection as well as some other spirits. We went early on a Saturday night and could tell the place would be hopping a bit later on. I haven’t been there with a live band playing but has potential to be a good roadhouse. They just need to get a smoker and get it on!

Awesome. From start to finish, it was just a great«top shelf» experience! Cocktails. Food. Staff. Ambiance. Had the«cocktail of the day» — don’t know the name — but I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our lunch. It was some vanilla vodka/hard apple cider/fireball whiskey/cinnamon brown sugar rimmed/yummy goodness. May have been a bit«light» but it tasted good. Bacon Bombs are aptly named as they are just that good. Simple concepts done well are killer. The BBQ sauce was fanTASTIC and it made my pulled pork sandwich the best I’ve had in ages. Loved it. Ordered the fries and for some reason, even they were just noteworthy good. Hubby ordered, devoured and loved the ribs.(He does prefer dry so next time will order with sauce on the side. Loved the sauce, just doesn’t love it dripping in BBQ sauce) We were treated to some test-recipe mac and cheese, given a tour of the«money maker»(aka: meat smoker) and educated on the whiskey varieties. I can just imagine this place in its full glory on a Friday/Saturday night. Lights. Music. Cocktails. Fun.
