Site for Sore Eyes

I am very pleased with both the service and my new glasses from Site For Sore Eyes! Both visits the staff picked out the frames for me and I was amazed at how perfect they have been! This second pair are fresh from Italy and I love them! The staff couldn’t be friendlier, more attentive and even more fun! I will return and will recommend to my friends and family!

I always get fabulous service here. My doctor gave me the wrong prescription and they remade my glasses without charge. Nice! Always get my prescriptions filled here.

Came in here on a whim as I had an eye exam elsewhere but their selection of glasses was horrible. Was immediately warmly greeted when we walked in and explained that I wanted a very particular look and the woman helping me gave me a plethora of glasses that fit my description. She was very personable, friendly and eager to please. She explained that most of her glasses would come in black frames, which is the color I wanted and I also wanted a higher end frame. She found frames that were navy blue but was what I was looking for and was able to order them in black. They were also offering a special for $ 150 off all frames. Only bummer is you can’t use that with insurance. She explained the insurance company will not allow the additional discount. Ordered the glasses she showed me and should get them in 10 days. Hopefully they are exactly what I want :)! Only reason for 4 versus 5 stars is the smaller selection of brand name frames. I had come in looking for a particular Gucci frame which they do not carry. I’ll update once I get the glasses, hoping they don’t disappoint

I initially tried Site for Sore Eyes with a Groupon I purchased. Prior to that, had used my eye doctor’s office for glasses, and Sonoma Eyeworks (awful…will never go back). I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience there. Since then, I have had prescription sunglasses made, and another pair of glasses made with frames purchased in Istanbul.
Quality and customer service here are absolutely outstanding. The opticians who work here, Felix and Nick, are highly skilled. Felix is a true master at fitting glasses. I tend to be very sensitive to things, so if one small thing is off, I have trouble. In the past, with other optical shops, it has taken numerous fittings and adjustments, and then things were still not perfect. I was totally shocked when I put on the first pair of glasses and they fit perfectly! This had never happened before. Since then, with other glasses, if something was a bit off, Felix has been able to adjust it right away. And Nick is a master at cutting lenses and fitting my frames with the prescription. Plus, there are never any hidden expenses or surprises. Best of all, both of them are patient, kind, funny, friendly and very helpful.
The shop is clean, neatly organized, with a pretty good selection of frames and sunglasses, with designer names. No, it does not have the luxury selection of Sonoma Eyeworks does (and thankfully, not their attitude) but I have been able to find cute frames here, and have also brought in frames purchased elsewhere. Prices are very reasonable. VSP is taken here, too.
I am so happy to have found Site For Sore Eyes, and highly recommend them!

I’ve waited a few weeks since getting my glasses to see what it is like living with my new frames and lenses. I found this store after looking through and thoroughly reading other reviews. I walked through the store before making an appointment and was satisfied they had frames I liked
My last prescription was through Kaiser, and I never could read for any length of time with them. In addition, the lenses kept falling out of their flimsy frames. (NOT their cheapest choice, either.)
I wear progressive bifocals, and took advantage of Site for Sore Eyes offer to get a free pair of reading only glasses. The eye exam was excellent, and much care was given to making sure the progressive lenses would be just right. I can now read for as long as I want, and the free pair of reading glasses help.

Very pleasant experience getting contacts for the first time. This place does NOT rip you off like other eye places I have been too and they are extremely helpful! Also they have amazing hours as they are open Saturdays also.

The Montgomery Village store had a very poor selection. And their display cabinets looked as though they were salvaged from a flood, with damage to the finishes. There examples of improved eye glass was filthy from folks handling them. And the clerks, while pleasant, were full of hollow responses and promises. They promised to have my glasses back to me in 10 days-​they didn’t. They only began calling the factory after the 10 days and never called me when the glasses did come in. I would never go back there.

So, as things tend to do, my glasses from Wally World broke three weeks after the warrantee period ended. After a quick Unilocal search i decided on Site for Sore Eyes because they had solid reviews, had a great promotion on full pairs of glasses, and had an appointment for me that day.
The doctor saw me promptly, and after a thorough examination, wrote me a prescription that is more comfortable four hours in than my old glasses ever felt. I have a prism in both eyes in my glasses, so wherever I get my glasses i have to wait 1 – 2 weeks after my appointment. So, how long i waited is probably not average for most people, but I got two pairs (one free, great promo!) after waiting ten days including president’s day… For four prism lenses that’s on the quick side.
So… I got two pairs if glasses and a much more comprehensive exam than I would have received at Walmart, for the same price as one pair from the big W. As others have said, very friendly and professional.
Good replacement/​repair plan as well. This is where i go now for my eyes.

My son and his friend were wrestling and his friends glasses broke. I took the pair to this shop and they were able to fix in a couple hours.

I’ve been going to Site for Sore Eyes for a couple of years and have been very happy with the personal service and high quality eye wear I have purchased there. While they don’t have a huge selection like the big box stores carry, they have a great selection of fashionable frames yet you won’t feel overwhelmed by the choices. I also get my daily wear contact lens there as well. They are friendly and professional. I highly recommend Site for Sore Eyes!

This place sold me the worst pair of glasses I have ever worn. They don’t fit I went back three times to get them refit and each time the technician bent them around somewhat and then said it was all he could do. We purchased a Groupon which supposedly gave us a two pair of glasses for $ 100.00, it was a total scam as we spent considerably extra money. and received poor service.

I called first to see about replacing a plastic nosepiece on a pair of old, out of shape wire framed glasses for my mom-​in-​law. The man said yes, and when I asked how much for one piece, I was surprised when he told me $ 3.00. When I went there midday, there were others waiting, so when he saw I’d been waiting, he asked me to write a note & let me know what I needed, and if I could return after work. I agreed & upon my return, the glasses not only were thoroughly cleaned and adjusted to ‘like new’ condition, he replaced both nosepieces and only charged $ 3.00! He refused when I tried to pay him more. He was gracious, kind, and professional. They deserve 5 Stars because it’s rare you find client care like this nowadays. Highly recommend!

As a student at SSU, my mom suggested I find some doctor’s near school for the 9 months of the year that I’m here. The google directions have a weird way of taking you there, but I really loved this place. The receptionist is really nice and the doctor was personable and professional. There is a wide variety of frames to choose from. The overall experience here is better than the one I have at home and I definitely recommend this place.
