If I could give a 0 I would. Let’s start off by saying when I booked the appointment the reception was beyond rude. I was booking for a 12 year old. I did not have access to her medical card and asked if they could call her doctor and receive a copy and was told no. Finally the appointment comes same thing happens, we need the insurance card. I had called the referring doctor and asked them to fax it but it had not arrived. I let the receptionist know that she said I could call again. I let her know my phone was in and out of service in the building and she didn’t offer a phone or anything. I asked her if she could call and get the information because it’s always faster when a doctor’s office calls another office rather than the patient. She claimed that may be the policy elsewhere but it’s the patients responsibility to get all medical records not ours. The doctor did his thing seemed very nice. Didn’t explain the prescription and we were sent to pick out glasses. They placed three buckets of glasses on a table and told her this is what her insurance covered. They are how they are none can be altered or color changed. I said you can adjust the sides looser or larger though and she said somewhat. They did not help her with how the glasses should fit or explain anything to her the lady sat there with this dumbfounded look on her face and just watched as I went over everything to check as I’ve gotten glasses before. She picked out the best option there even though they were still not to her liking. I asked what the prescription was as we weren’t told her vision or how bad it was and they were told they don’t know how to read it. I asked the front desk to have the doctor call me and was told that the doctor doesn’t call patients and he is in with someone else. All in all we called her insurance made a formal complaint cancelled her prescription and will be going to an office where customer service is number one. I would never recommend this place and have already formally complained to the insurance and the referring doctor’s office’s referral department. HORRIBLE!
