The service was the worst. Like quite possibly the worst I have ever had. The young person«serving» us couldn’t have hated her job more. She also may have hated us, considering the blatant rudeness. Yes my darling, you do indeed have bottled water. And the reason we wanted bottled water; every dish that hit the table was dirty. Like REALLY dirty. The only redeeming aspect of this experience was the BBQ jackfruit. No, not the sandwich as a whole. It was pretty well inedible as a whole. The bun was much like a hockey puck, I ended up just consuming the toppings, which were sparse. But, at least now I know that I can roast and pull my own jackfruit. My partner ordered the black bean burger. The look of it alone was disturbing. I have created and consumed more vegan«burgers» than I’d really care to share, and it’s just never been like this before. It may have temporarily ruined my love for burgers, which is unforgivable. Looked much like fecal matter. Tasted a bit like cardboard… Texturally, we will make an assumption and go ahead and reference fecal matter again. They do amazing things with nut based cheeses and creams. They do have a great looking(emphasis on looking) menu, and lord knows that we need more vegan dining options in Santa Rosa. This place just can’t meet the mark.

This place is pretty hidden and that was before all the square reunification construction. If you do happen to get there it’s quite pleasant on the inside and by golly gosh it’s damn good for vegan. They have a refrigerator for quick togo purchases and it’s priced reasonably. Check it ooooooout.

I love Seed to Leaf! It’s hard to find an all-vegan restaurant, and this one does not disappoint. I love the calm atmosphere and friendly waiters/waitresses. Their Açai bowls and Banana Toast are my personal favorites!

First of all, the FOOD was delicious. The acai bowl and banana bread were AMAZING. My friends and I ordered the Cherry Acai bowls and our waitress was a little… Flighty. She told us(after we ordered) they didn’t have all the bowls, we asked if she had the ones we just ordered and she had to check. She said yes, but what we got was not the cherry acai bowl, I mean, it was delicious, but I think it was the regular acai bowl. We mentioned this to her, and she didn’t care at all. She thought it was kinda funny and said she had no idea what we got, but it was supposed to be cherry. We just thought that was a weird response, not trying to fix it or find out more for us. Other than the service the food was delicious and I’ll be back, but if service is like that again it might be my last time. Update after second visit– I’m so disappointed because I want to love this place. But my second visit was worse than the first. We told the waitress when she sat us we came for the acai bowls. 15 minutes later when she finally took our orders, we were informed the blenders were being given a «rest.» I should stress that this was 30 minutes after opening. They NEED to work out all the kinks and lackluster service. Taking off one star :(

Avocado toast is on the most amazing gluten free bread. Light, fluffy, with a lovely, almost nutty flavor. Micro greens fresh, and avocado just right :) Definitely a must-try!

Amazing food! Amazing people! Amazing all around! I was there from the beginning because I work next door and OMG! I tell everyone to go here for all types of treats, lunch, dinner and breakfast stuff. Healthy and TASTY foods! All of it! Never a bad dish, NEVER bad service and always the newest and most innovative foods around. So happy they are serving dinner and staying open LATER so everyone can come here and try it. Their coffee drink is the bomb, by the way. I like to visit them and ask what I should try next — and they are famous for having you try samples of their new stuff. Just great people who believe(and eat) in what they do!

I came in for an early dinner and yes I love this place. Nice portions of fresh and organic foods. It’s also a perfect place to catch up with while grabbing something light but filling for dinner.

My friends often tell me my tastes resemble bird feed – nuts, seeds, granola, berries… One Saturday afternoon I felt my inner bird twittering away, so I decided(very carefully!!!) on heading to Seed to Leaf to check it out, since it’s had my attention for a long while. My expectations were exceeded. This place wasn’t as conducive to sitting and working away like I’d hoped, but it’s a bit of restaurant, café, and non-alcoholic bar all in one. There’s a long bar, a bunch of tables under kinda dim lighting, and a grab-and-go section displaying their cold-pressed juices and some other prepared foods. I was a little confused when I came in, but you basically just sit down where you want. Anyhoo, I’m sitting here typing on my computer, and they have free wifi, so it’s café-ish and non-judgey enough that I’m not scared to eat my Nuddy Buddy Bliss bowl at a table alone while getting some work done. The servers are all super nice, and I like the relatively calm ambiance. FOOD: I got my sweet tooth covered with the Nuddy Buddy Bowl. Every bite is making me ridiculously happy, and my golden latte has a really warm, buttery flavor that I guess some people might not like, but I’m diggin’ it. Don’t get it if you don’t like turmeric. I am DEFINITELY coming back for their savory options – pizzettes, Buddha bowls, nachos, and more. I don’t know what it is, but something in this place is smelling RIDICULOUSLY good. I really wish I had enough room in my stomach(…and enough cash in my wallet?) for me to try everything. Also, they have desserts, aka CHEEZECAKE. My god. My only qualm(very small) is that this place is kinda pricey. Pricey, but so worth it – the food quality is very clearly wonderful, and they’ve won my heart. I already want it to be next weekend so I can come back here and try more things. If you are vegan, you shouldn’t even be questioning whether or not to check this place out. Just a final note about Seed to Leaf, their restrooms are locked and you need to put in a code, which you can find on the back of your menu, bottom of the page :)

Amazing amazing — not too sure why i have not come sooner. Being Vegan my restaurant selections are slim. Came with my mom, sister and toddler nephew and everyone left extremely happy! Corn chowder, avo toast and smoothie were the perfect lunch.

I really loved eating here! The food is out of this world. You can taste all the freshness in every bite. I had the Jaque Burger which was so tasty. My son had the Walnut burger which was really mouthwatering too! Each came with a delicious side salad. The juices and shots are super delicious and healthy too! The atmosphere is very cool and staff quick and helpful! Don’t miss eating here!

Everyone on the wait staff has an amazing smile. I felt very welcome and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and chill music. I asked which kombuchas were on tap, and was offered a sample of each, which I appreciated. I ordered the Artichoke and Kale Dip to start, and enjoyed the Purple Nachos for my entrée. The only thing I would change was for the appetizer to come out first, and then the entrée instead of coming out at the same time. I would recommend this to friends.

I was absolutely stunned with the quality and flavors of this amazing little gem in the heart of Santa Rosa! I have had multiple lunches that exceeded all expectations for a raw, vegan, veg restaurant… I was simply amazed by the service and food! The people behind this establishment are not only food geniuses but also onto something so much bigger… A healthier person means a happier world! Get it Seed To Leaf!

The excitement that I have, to finally have a restaurant walking distance from my office, that serves healthy organic vegan food, is not even quantifiable. This is so great! Seed to Leaf is a new restaurant that took over an old night club that closed down awhile back. They are right next to LaRosa, and could be easily missed due to their small size and being hidden behind a façade. This was my first visit and I can still say that I am very excited. I intend to return many times and try out many of the things on their menu. While we were having lunch we saw many orders come out and all of the food looked fantastic. We ordered the meat tacos and the green Pizza. We shared both and they were both delicious for different reasons. Aside from being vegetarian, this restaurant also does not serve any dairy or gluten. They provide almost everything organic, when possible, and make many of their things from scratch. They even grow their own sprouts! They have a full drink menu with smoothies, cold pressed juices, cold and hot tonics, and even kombucha on draft. Fun! When we first were seated, we were greeted by someone who appeared to either be the manager or owner. Everyone was very friendly. Con: The one thing I did notice, during this visit, is that the service is on the slower side. This was partly because the restaurant was packed, and also caused by the fact that the servers have to do a lot of prep-work for the food and drinks. So they are maybe a bit too busy to keep things moving quickly. But, I think this is something you just have to possibly accept. If anything changes, during my next visit, I will be sure to update this review. Con: the cold pressed juices and smoothes are pricey(although I’m sure the business would say that their prices are in line with industry standards. While I understand the need for higher costs, it makes it unmanageable to order both a lunch dish and a green juice. The combo would be a lunch cost of approximately $ 25/person. This is a bit steep for a lunch. So I’m thinking to share a green juice during my next visit.

Love It!!! Being the southern boy that I am, imagine how excited I was to see a pulled jackfruit BBQ sandwich. It was so so good!!! Steph had the Nachos. They were delicious too. And the cheese cake, awesome. I logged everything in myfitnesspal and we weren’t too bad. It is my birthday weekend anyway, so I can splurge a little. It’s a really nice place inside, the service was great. Only one thing bothered me and it’s not a big deal but my drink came with a plastic straw. I know I’m being silly. But I’m trying to cut back on plastic too. No biggie I’ll just ask for no straw next time. If you have been there, vegan or vegetarian or not, you really should. It was awesome. My new favorite for sure!!!

This place is awesome! The setting is casual, with a long bar and probably 8 – 10 high top tables, lined with a bench on one side. There isn’t a ton of seating, so try to get here early, before the lunch crowd(I got there at 12, which was perfect timing). I am SOEXCITED to have a healthy vegan place in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa, I cannot even tell you. I met a friend here and I had the mocha and the asian nourish bowl. The mocha was made with almond milk, which is usually not my milk of choice, but it was good. I will ask for a different milk(soy or coconut) next time, which I think would make it more creamy and less watery. The mocha was either $ 4 or $ 5, which included the milk, a shot of espresso, cacao, maca, and even some foam on top. I would get it again if I could switch out the milk. The Asian nourish bowl was excellent. It was made with quinoa and brown rice, and various veggies. I was in the mood for some healthy food and it was just filling enough. I may have gone for dessert, but I was already in about $ 17 so decided to call it quits there. The raw cheesecake was ordered from the table next to us and looked absolutely incredible. My friend got the golden latte, which she liked but said it got a little too turmeric-y toward the end. She also got a flatbread-type thing with veggies and a salad, which she liked very much. All in all, a great place to get some healthy food, but I think the prices could be a little lower. I will definitely still go here, but I will have to work on my restraint as I don’t usually like to spend over $ 20 for lunch.

Food was so delicious, staff was super friendly. They kept bringing shots of different juices to our table– which were refreshing and tasty. We ordered a little bit of everything: Buffalo Cauliflower Bites– great and flavorful, the ranch dressing was delicious Air Fries– awesome, not greasy, some were overcooked but still great. The aioli was sensational Black Walnut Burger-ordered by my friend, I took a bite want too crazy about it, but she liked it Purple Nachos– friend ordered as well, flavorful and delicious My fiancé and I ordered the living entrees: Gaia Garden & Green Pizza w/Side Salad — soooo flavorful, delicious, wish I could have this right now ! Seed to Leaf Taco– Delicious, flavorful Everything was sooooo good, staff was awesome and knowledgeable, I would recommend Seed to Leaf to anyone in the Santa Rosa area whether you’re vegan or not –you’ll definitely find delicious, fresh, organic food, can’t wait to come back & I wish them the best of luck with their business

Tricky place to review so I will try to keep it simple and then delve into the details! One star for location — although wish it were easier to find parking– One star for the delicious food that left us feeling satisfied, light, and airy instead of stuffed and lethargic. One star for the friendly and courteous staff and atmosphere. One star for the affordability.(Yes, I can make most items at home and save tons of money, but to be able to enjoy amazing entrees out is a rare treat and well worth it for this caliber of dining!) I visited with my 3.5 year old daughter during(around 11:30) the grand opening held on a Saturday. It was pretty busy and the set up was interesting. $ 15 + tax for a platter of different entrée items and dessert items(about 11 total), plus they served small cups to try their fresh juices. I had to pay inside and show my receipt to the 2 friendly individuals outside who then gave me a raffle type ticket to provide someone inside for the platter. After getting a feel for the process and completing it(approx 20 minutes) a couple of seats opened up at the bar and we sat down. We received our first platter within about 5 – 10 minutes of sitting down. Thank goodness because my daughter was getting restless! Loved it all and the picky little one liked the acai bliss bowl, cookie bites, and cheeze cake bite, naturally. I don’t normally have any interest in polenta, but their polenta with balsamic reduction was tasty. Service was friendly and responsive especially under the slight confusion dealing with their ticketing system, etc. Then… About one week later on a Saturday we went back as a party of 3. You seat yourself. Which was cool, but I felt like I scared the server when I asked her for one of the menus she was bringing back from the table to my left after notating their orders. Sorry, just didn’t want her to have to run back after noticing me! Service and selection: minus one star due to waiting at least 15 minutes for water that was ordered, but our server/waitress was super friendly and I know she was doing her best. Also, a couple of menu items we ordered were not available. That’s a good thing in a sense(for the restaurant having good business), but disappointing when you hype yourself up about your selection and then the waitress comes back and says, «sorry we are all out of…» We understood anyway and were able to come up with something to please the little one!(Out of almond butter– so we asked for toast with coconut butter and honey. She ate it all. Phew!) The food really didn’t take too long to come out– about 20+ minutes after ordering. The juice took the longest due to it being fresh pressed, so keep that in mind. It came 5 minutes or so after our meal did. It was worth the wait!(It was called Happy Hour). Price is reasonable due to the caliber and presentation of food– and of course the superb craftsmanship of flavor in the dishes. We consumed and loved– the tacos, the black bean walnut burger with salad, the kale artichoke dip with gf toast, a happy hour juice, toast with coconut butter and honey, a fruit bowl, and a slice of the cheesecake. Ended up being $ 60 plus tip for 2 adults and a 3.5 year old. Every morsel was worth every penny. We prepare raw and cooked vegan meals at home, daily so when we want to celebrate or eat out on a rare occasion we will likely be back to see if we can give a 5 star rating!

This is a little hard to review, since we went during an opening promotion, and it was extremely busy and they were doing a fixed platter, so my review is based upon that, rather than a regular dining experience. Turning up at lunchtime, it was unsurprisingly busy, and we had to wait some time for a seat at the bar. We ordered the obligatory sample tray, and tried the various drinks. I liked almost everything, especially the kombucha. Even my picky 11 year old liked many of the items, and wasn’t hungry after. Definitely nothing I could really complain about. I talked for some time with one of the owners — definitely a hippy/raw vegan vibe, and I was easily reminded of both Core Kitchen in Oakland(100% produce, but not raw) and The Green Boheme in Roseville(raw interpretations of mainstream dishes). Would definitely visit again, although Santa Rosa is a little out of the way, so probably only a couple of times a year.

A true organic, gluten free, vegan/vegetarian dining option right on Courthouse Square! I’m no vegan, but I am open to new and healthier alternatives from time to time. Hip atmosphere and décor, friendly staff, tasty choices from smoothies, fruit bowls, tonics, salads, toasts and much more. Noise level — Med-loud on busy days, a great place to meet up for good conversation :)

I REALLY want to like this place more. But… 1. Service was slooooow at the lunch hour. Took awhile to get our orders, then even longer to get our food. The room wasn’t even half full. 2. Ordered the french fries, which arrived lukewarm, many of them overcooked. The lemon aioli was really good, though. 3. Ordered the nachos… what was the orange sauce passing for cheese – cashew cream? It had no flavor. 4. Ordered the buffalo-styled cauliflower… not bad, though the cauli was overcooked, too soft & squishy. Staff was friendly, even giving us free shots of green stuff. I might give this place another shot because I appreciate all the healthy options, but a rocking vegan restaurant(such as Real Food Daily in Southern Cal) can impress vegans and non-vegans alike. I can’t say I’d bring a meat eater here in hopes of converting them. Kind of felt like I was eating health food here instead of enjoying a dining experience.
