Really enjoyed this Farmer’s Market. Good mix of fresh fruits and veggies and prepared items, like tea, coffee and ready to eat food. Won’t have every obscure vegetable you might want, but it has all the normal stuff. We stopped by this morning without a plan for the day and really enjoyed our quick walk down the aisles. We will definitely be back to buy some plants when we are ready to raise them. Also the kettle corn was really great and the owner was the nicest. Can’t pass up kettle corn anywhere I go.

I stopped going to this market a year ago and decided to try it out again last Saturday. I was positively surprised how lively it was. It is not as large and busy as the Wells Fargo market but had everything I was looking for. I mostly come for the farm-fresh organic produce that is hard to get at supermarkets. My favorites are the non-oxidizing avocados, the fresh sprouts & salads, and the fish tacos & oysters for lunch. Enjoyed the music– just a little too loud.

This is the nearest Farmers Market to our home. It also has among the nicest vendors. It’s a wonderful farmers’ market focusing on local agriculture, artisan foods and handmade goods. In addition to great seasonal fruits and veggies, they also have a great selection of seafood, meats, poultry, cheeses, baked goods, and spices. Local food stalls(especially the Oysters and even a Deli with wonderful corned beef!) and food trucks add to the relaxed atmosphere, all topped off with great local music. The Wednesday market is a smaller version of the Saturday market, but still worth it for a great, but somewhat smaller selection. The market happens rain or shine, so bring your umbrella in this year of El Niño rains. Bring some reusable shopping bags too!

Went to this fabulous farmers market last weekend and they had everything. Local farmers like Triple T Farm and Liesen’s bridgeway farm as well as farmers from all over California. They had organic strawberries, blueberries and even avocados. They also had great coffee, bread, pasteries, and a fantastic oyster bar. Even Santa Rosa Seafood comes to this market!

Definitely worth going to for the fresh foods to take home or food to eat right there, plus music and a variety of arts. We always pick up a mix of mushrooms and fresh fish.

Since the division of this market, with most of the vendors eloping to the Wells Fargo Center, the selection, quality and the lively town kinship shopping experience has diminished greatly. Just got back this morning with my usual basket of fresh fruits /vegetables & fish. So the pickings are still available here. My observation & emotional reaction is that the market has lost its soul.

Have only been here one time. Got some nice sweet strawberries, and delicious fresh oysters from SR Seafood Co’s booth, some ‘so-so’ reddish sweet onions, and then a few ‘not so sweet’ small fruits, must have been pluots. Overall great market and will go back as often as I can. Lots of diverse offerings. But is open for short time, so plan ahead. :)

Can’t go wrong with the selection at this market. I used to have to drive to Marin for the really big farmer’s market, when it occurred to me why I do it, and I think the reason was just to go do something. In reality, the produce, local food vendors, and crafts are just as plentiful(to scale), and the selection just as varied as the big market in Marin. My favorite picks are: Bliss Bakery gluten free stand. They are no longer selling from their store until they have finished their move, so this is the exclusive place to find your gluten free goodies. The Hummus Guy. Amazing hummus, and to DIE for Halvah. Just be prepared to be bobmarded with the hard sell to buy more products thatn you anticipated. Gandalf’s Chocolated. Yum diggity. Even has a discount if you bring your empty box back for the next time. Try them! Pretty much all the organic growers are amazing, especially the one down the breezeway at the halfway point. Their zuchini and squash are fab, but their fresh herbs are the BEST. Make sure you go before the rain drives everyone out!

There are some fantastic farms at the market on Saturday. I can’t make the Wednesday market, so I can’t comment. We go every Saturday we can. It’s the best resource around for fresh vegetables and greens. I just wish there were more farmers at the market. I understand they need the crafts and other vendors to keep the market alive in the winter. But I DO wish there was more emphasis on local farmers.

I liked this market, but there’s not a lot of farmers there. It’s more like an extension of the Sonoma Fair. There’s loads of booths on 4th street with everything from massage to fried artichokes. The actual farmer section is pretty small, but they did have this great heirloom tomatoes from some farmer from Fresno there for a while that I loved. I also liked the convenience of it being close to where I live. However now that it’s closed the regular Santa Rosa one on Saturdays is really great, so I’ll be getting food from there now.

Lame. The only thing it does well is get in my way on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It mucks up the already badly planned and executed traffic situation in Santa Rosa. Farmers market is what everybody says you should do after you ask«What the hell is there to do in this hick-town?» It’s packed with a lot of nothing, it seems like there is something going on, but it’s just a bunch of hicks milling around. Try it, it can’t hurt. I did warn you, though.

This is one of the better Farmers Markets. I’ve been to the one in SF on Alemany and this one competes for variety pretty well — although much smaller than in SF, but Santa Rosa doesn’t have the population, so … A good variety of local growers’ vegetables, spices and herbs, dairy products and meats. Ostrich eggs! WOW! Beautiful plants and flowers, orchids, roses, wildflowers, etc. Talented vendors selling hand made clothing and textiles. Some quality services are offered, too, like knife sharpening. I really liked going, when I could muster the energy to get out of bed that early on my day off!
