This store is always tidy and well organized. The employees are all friendly and eager to help you unlike certain big-box stores. I personally feel bad for the manager, Brittany, who has to deal with the not-so-friendly customers who barge in with the intent of causing problems. I was present during a major dispute and it was not pretty. People can be so rude sometimes. These workers are trying their best to satisfy customers, considering they aren’t being paid much in a dying business, that says a lot about their character. I’ve worked retail for several years, so I know what it must be like for them. My only hope is that there is a light at the end of their tunnel.

I now understand why RadioShack is going slowly down the drain and will become a part of tech history and the Store Manager«Britney» is a great example of how NOT to treat customers. A simple online return was turned literally into a shady backroom deal. My mother bought a lot of items for her grandchildren and had them shipped. We had already purchased like items and decided to use the easy in store return option. When the sales associate brought the return to Britney her first comment was«oh great». She then has the associate check the product and takes my receipt into the backroom without saying anything to me. After about 5 – 10 min she walks back out to tell me her is your RMA # and the credit will arrive in 20 days. This is not there policy and i stated that i could have done that at home but as i was here in person that i wanted to return them here in store and wanted her District Managers name and contact information as this was not acceptable. She did not want to give me the contact information and eventually said let me go into the backroom and cancel it. 5 minutes later she walks out saying she has her District Manager on the phone to talk to me. He proceeds to tell me i identified myself as a RadioShack employee and this was policy. I quickly informed him that i was not an employee and never claimed to be. After explaining the issue he said i would be able to return the items now in the store and get my money. This was the worst experience at any retailer i have ever experienced. I will not recommend this location to anyone. *UPDATE* Of the $ 200 that was refunded to me the one of the $ 100 bills that Britney gave to me was counterfeit and I have the police report to show for it. This has been the worst experience ever and I am now out $ 100 and have not heard back from the District Manager as he promised.

When you see something good you should say something. Brittany, I believe the manager, have stellar 6 star service. After helping me on a few issues, I watched her deftly listen to other customers needs and offer creative options. She has full knowledge of every product on display, as far as I can tell. My experience in he past with chain electronics stores has always been some kid who didn’t know why he store sold let alone which product does what and what’s a good value and pros am cons of each. I was pleasantly surprised. 4 stars because there are limits to radioshack’s selection and this is one of the smaller ones. But the staff is so helpful, I felt I needed to say something. Aw heck, it’s the holidays. I’m Gonna give it five stars for Brittany. She knows her stuff and deserves to be acknowledged for it.

My job is around radio shack. I have recently switched phones and have bought 2 chargers from this store. However I couldn’t find the boxing for one of them so I was able to return one of the chargers that was not working anymore. I found the boxing for the other charger and came back a few days later when I had time. I could not find my receipt for this purchase either. So when I came back, the manager told me that they were missing 3 chargers and they could not find any of same boxing that i have gotten. She was basically telling me that I perhaps stolen it because she said I could not come back anymore and was asking if i had more at home, which i do not. I just did not have the boxing for both of the chargers the same day. And because I have always went to this radio shack, I knew the previous owner/manager to the store because like I stated, I work walking distance from here and the previous owner/manager would come to my workplace. And when I mentioned that, she said she been the manager for 3 years and there was no guy. BS! I have been working in montgomery village for 3 years, lady! She might of not been lying about being manager, but because I go there often, I know that Radio Shack has their employees and manager move locations. The previous manager treated me a lot better. Unfortunately, he moved locations and they replaced him with HER… It won’t be long till they replace the manager again, hopefully soon. I have never ever receive such bad customer service. Especially from a manager! Rude! There is a radio shack near my house, which I was intended to start going to anyways because my friend works there, and I am treated A LOT better. I just come to this one because its walking distance and the previous managers were very kind. That won’t happen anymore!

Well since there is no other local brick and mortar stores that offer the same type of electronic parts, I’ll serve up a 4 star. Good knowledgeable customer service, semi limited inventory, but then again, i have never seen a Radio Shack that was all that large. They work well with what they’ve got. Any little off the wall cable or electronics project part you might need? this is your place.

Great Service! I came in here the Day after Thanksgiving, looking for the Casio camera on sale. Mike was very helpful! I asked him about USB cords for cameras and he took the time to explain about the flash drive style card readers that would save me money! Great service, clean stores. Thanks Mike!
