Who reviews McDonalds anyways, right? Well, this is my local, closest McDonalds and they serve the same product you would expect to get at any location. The drive-thru has made one mistake or another on more than one occasion. Don’t leave until everything is verified and included in the bag. This isn’t the cleanest McDonalds I have every been at, it could stand a face lift. In the end, it’s still McDonalds.

It’s McDonald’s, need I say more? The atmosphere is better than the one of Mendocino, that’s for sure. Depending on the time their can be a large influx of the Oakmont senior community stopping by for breakfast and coffee. It can seem like a senior citizen gathering. The staff could use some work, I’ve done the drive thru and I’ve seen some people who work here from high school who aren’t particularly friendly. It’s McDonald’s, not exactly a 5 star eatery. If you’re in a hurry or on a budget this is your go to place.

This one has gross food 95% of the time and has some of the worst employees out of all the rest in the area. The food is always lukewarm to the point where no cheese is melted anywhere. The buns are stale no matter what sandwich you get. Breakfast is ok as long as it’s very early in the morning. The staff for the most part is decent unless you ask for condiments and then they act like you asked for a free meal. A few employees, usually only the large-women, not only literally have your food dangling out the window before you are done paying at the previous window, but are the most unhygienic and rude people you will ever meet. You’d think the food would be hot since they are fast and dangle your food out the window with nobody there, but no. It’s still stale, cold, and gross. This goes for all fast food places everywhere: I don’t care how much faster it is, your food should not be made before you order it. Around 2009, it seems like there was a national fast food meeting where they all agreed to make the food before it was ordered so it was all gross and stale long before you got there. I’m aware that some ingredients are pre-made, but not literally EVERYTHING. They even tell the employees to make the soda as soon as you order it and leave it sitting there regardless of how many cars are in front of you. By the time you get there, the food is already gross and the drinks are all but melted. Some bad locations used to do it occasionally, but places like Carl’s jr. never did. Now every single fast food drive-thru except for in-n-wait(in-n-out) make things before the customer arrives. Along with pre-made food, it’s our RIGHT as Americans to get as much free ketchup and condiments as we ask for. Stop training your employees to give attitude for wanting more than 5 ketchup packets for a 20 dollar order. I’m sorry poor people ask for it by the gallon, but that shouldn’t ruin it for the rest of us. Same thing with ice in sodas. I’m sorry yuppie soccer moms saw an episode of seinfeld in the 90’s that complained about too much ice and not enough soda but those are the same people that didn’t pay attention in school and take dr. Phil/dr. Oz as gospel. My mother is one of these people lol. The less ice you have, the warmer the drink is and the faster the ice melts resulting in watered down soda. If you want your«money’s worth», get off your lazy rear and go to Costco for gigantic jugs of the stuff. As for the rest of us, we will take COLD and CARBONATED soda with ¼ to ½ ice. As far as the employees go, you deserve no higher than 5 dollars an hour regardless of what minimum wage is until the customer gets an attempt at at least fake politeness. If you guys are frowning, rude, or giggling with each other, then 5 dollars an hour is more than generous for a rude person that didn’t go to school. If you want decent McDonald’s in this town, go to the one in the chevron gas station on hopper ave or the one on Mendocino; this location is just awful.

I went through the drive-thru for lunch on a Saturday. I ordered a couple items through the intercom and before I finished the staff cut me off trying to get me to end the order. Ok, fine, I’ll be done. So I pulled up to pay for the fraction of food I planned on getting and the staff was speaking on the intercom with the next customer, so she barely talked to me. This is good efficiency with staffing, but poor customer service. I had a Hot & Spicy McChicken, small fries, and Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger. Apparently they got rid of the McValue fries I used to order, but I’m sure that was a corporate decision, not this particular restaurant. The food was fine, typical McDonald’s quality. They tasted good, but are usually small and nothing fancy. The prices are pretty good and cheap.

So much for fast food on a Sunday morning. One window open with 8 cars out all the way into the street and the manager couldn’t get a clue. Fast food is not 20 minutes stuck in line!!! Once you’re in the line no getting out. Yes I’m impatient but this was just plain clueless management!!! If only Chik fil-a was open on Sunday

This Mickey D’s has a particular employee, Garrett, who regularly works the drive thru. This guy is amazing. He’s the drive-thru master of the universe. Fast, professional, knowledgeable. Ellie is also great.

Parking is iffy in this commercial space. forget about the drive thru-too long brews: coffee(1) –usually as reliable as starbuk at ½ the price. parking too limited here.

OML I just wanted a soda, line at drive through was long, so I parked and ran in. This place was understaffed, very poorly trained and ~ not too sure of which end was up. This was on Thursday evening 5:00, 2 customers in front of me. One guy ordered several food items, and 2 apple juices. When his order was ready, the clerk called his order, he took the bags and went over to get napkins. He was almost gone when the clerk said here is your apple juice. She said this to the next customer in line, was the problem. The lady asked the clerk if she wanted her to give the drinks to the guy leaving, she said yes. Totally unaware of who ordered what. Needless to say, I don’t care how cheap this place is, I’m going to 7 – 11 for my snacks next time, Oh and they are hiring.

I know, reviewing McDonalds. It’s embarrassing that I even eat junk food like this. But sometimes, you have that craving for a $ 1.00 double cheeseburger, or some chicken nuggets, and you just have to stop. Nothing special here, nothing bad here, just your normal, generic McDonalds.
