Please do not go to Lane Fertility.
I had one round of egg extraction with Dr. Lane and I would have left her treatment mid-​cycle except that she has patients pay a large amount up front (in my case, $ 7,930, in a friend’s case, $ 21,000) and they have a no refund policy.
Due to a series of errors that began with a N* from Lane Fertility mistyping insurance codes on a claim, Lane Fertility eventually charged me $ 13,380 over the contracted rate that Dr. Lane has with Cigna insurance, telling me that Cigna would be responsible for refunds. Cigna has directly told me that Lane Fertility was acting illegally when breaking their contract with Cigna. Cigna and I have been calling for months to get a refund.
Doctors from UCSF and Palo Alto Medical Center told me directly that the course of drugs that Dr. Lane prescribed made me ill and they said that they would never prescribe such a protocol to anyone, much less someone of my health and age.
The practice is disorganized: I even witnessed an RN misplace a sample.
