J Good Consignment Furniture

I had the opportunity to speak with the owner, Julie Good, and she was unaware that her employee is such a sourpuss hag. Julie spends most of her time doing estate sales, not managing the store. I suggested that she find someone who knows how to deal with people professionally and who enjoys it.

This retail outlet was highly recommended by two friends — attempted to contact owner regarding items we were interested in putting on consignment twice via email. Never did receive even an acknowledgement or «thanks but not interested at this time» message. Poor customer service = 0 stars.

Went shopping here with my husband. The woman was kind and helpful and I got a lovely living room set and a kick ass lamp. I will be back, So many deals! WOW

How can I make this scathing enough? I was happy to find this spot and look at their used furniture. However, I am 22 weeks pregnant and arrived dying to go pee. I saw the sign on the bathroom door saying something in French about how it was not a public restroom. I explained to the salesperson that I wanted to shop but was in panic mode about finding a bathroom. She told me that I could not use the bathroom, even though I am pregnant!!! She said that she was not the owners. Hmmm. Ok, so I stormed out and walked over to Furniture Depot and spent a bunch of money AFTER they let me use their bathroom. I think that the owners should reconsider their policy. Lose big sales to keep your bathroom clean? I will NEVER go there again, and will make sure that all my friends do not either.

I agree with other complaints about the woman there. However, two women seem to work there and I really like Kathy – the shorter, blond woman as opposed to the grumpy, rude dark haired woman. She is very kind and knowledgable and helpful. If Kathy isn’t there I usually don’t stay there very long, as the mean lady has such an imposing ugly energy.

I picked up a nice antique bedroom set. I love it !!! Prices are reasonable, it is a pleasure to shop there ! There seems to be new merchandise every week.

What a sour lipped mean woman!
If she expects customers to stop by regularly to check out new stuff — then she needs to work on her customer skills!
I write this not after one poor experience but after several and I am so tired of her her poor behavior i have to let others know — and maybe she’ll read this too!
One woman-​shopper was there asking about a chair for sale and the woman huffed and said she would have to look for the price… um yeah… that’s the point of the store… right? A male-​shopper asked if the bird cages were real — the woman said what else would they be? in this nasty tone…
Good for the man because he said «for decoration?»
Anyway, when I asked about consignment she had no set % and nothing written up… she then added «I doubt you have anything I would sell…»
What? OK she iss a mean bitchy woman who obviously has emotional problems that keep her from being happy — get some therapy and learn to smile at the customer! Not that hard!

J Good is a solid consignment store with well-​kept and clean furniture. A year ago I decided to forget driving all around looking at millions of people’s junk that is always worse than advertised on Craigslist and just pay the extra dime to have someone else pick and choose only the good stuff. I have always purchased something there when I’ve gone in, including a cozy chair for nursing that the owner delivered to my house in downtown Santa Rosa for free right after my baby was born. She is a really friendly and helpful woman.
