The exterior is unsuspecting and very industrial but once through the door, the friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere grab ya.
The beer is flavorful and rather unique and the staff is knowledgable of what’s going on. Not much of a food selection right now but hey, they’re just getting established here. The selection is great for being freshly opened and the oyster stout is by far one of my favorites.
It feels like this place has been here forever, it’s that comfortable and inviting.
This place is worth the visit!

I pulled up to the scene with my ceiling missing, and already I was a bit skeptical of this place. It looks like it serves beer to only the millionaires and the billionaires. Ordered an Oyster Stout that I’ve heard so much about, and it was incredibly delicious. 0 stars out of 5, not Pliny.

What a great selection in a casual atmosphere, you feel like a local the moment you enter. I have told all of beer loving friends to get their butt down to Henhouse now!

Saison 5.5%- balance of hops and bittnerness is good, nice smooth finish
Oyster stout 4.8%- cocao nibs, coffee, meal in a glass
Honest days work red rye saison 6.6%- delicious blend of two very different beers, carmel tone, almost a belgian finish
#stoked pale ale (el dorado) 5.8%-
Excellent hop blend, super smooth for a pale
IPA 6.8%- classic norcal IPA, hoppy and satisfying
Big Chicken DIPA 9.7%- big brew with a mild bitterness, pliney the younger look out!
Conceptual nightmare Imperial stout with coffee and chocolate 10.2%- bold dark coffee notes, it will knock you down a peg, strong
Rye whiskey barrel aged imperial stout 12%- very intersting blend, bold flavors, diverse palate smasher
Belgian-​style Golden ale 10.2%- true belgian flavor, great golden tone, smooth finish
Fresh Pots! Coffee saison 6.8%- very intersting blend, super coffee front saison middle palate, stout like finish
The Stony point sour 6.4%- strawberry sour front, wine barrel touch adds lots of dimensions, not too sour after a couple swigs

Excellent beer! The owners and staff are amazing and friendly. I can’t wait to come back here again and try more of their beers. My new favorite place!

HenHouse finally has a tap room and it is awesome! Right now they have 6 beers on tap, 32 oz and 64 oz growlers to take home, and shirts for sale. Their beer is awesome, my favorite is the Big Chicken (double IPA), and my wife loves their saison, but they also have an oyster stout, farmhouse ale and more. They don’t have food in the tap room but most of the time, there will be a pizza food truck parked just outside.

A little off the beaten path but worth a visit. Staff is friendly, the copper bar is pretty badass, and, most importantly, the beer is delicious.
