Love this place. Great food, friendly staff and your order comes up fast. I look forward to being stuck at the office now and then just so I can walk the block down and get a great lunch. Don’t let a line scare you. They will have you out in no time at all.

Pete and his team/family are the best! The deli is fully staffed and the food is always FRESH and beautiful. We order for catering here for our company all the time and are never let down. The sandwiches are so tasty and creative, the soups are amazing and their specials for the holidays are exactly what you want when you want it. Their coffee to go is great and they are starting to make specialty coffees too! If you want to know what’s happening downtown SR or want a go to spot in the mornings, this is it! Pure Santa Rosa!

Best deli in town. Great service. Wonderful staff and owner. Super quick sandwich prep. Perfectly prepared sandwiches. They also a great selection of prepared foods including salads, wraps, and pastas. A nice mediterranian lunch box with pita and hummus, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and two tasty rice sides. Big selection of drinks. They have some nice healthy drink choices and even have a big selection of Yerba Mate! Smoothie Bar. You can even pre-order for office parties or a picnic. Centrally located.

My «go to» deli spot… Never disappointed, always fresh food, inside is immaculate and the service is awesome! I love coming here! Only downfall is that it’s not open weekends!

I’ve worked downtown for going on seven years, and for the first few years I ignored this place. That was dumb. The first time I came here, I ordered the falafel sandwich. I didn’t expect much, but, you know, I’d been hunting for the perfect falafel ever since I moved to California from New York City, where good falafel practically grows on trees, or where it would if there were more trees. I didn’t think this would be it. That was also dumb. It was amazing falafel. It was a beautiful sandwich. Wrapped in soft lavosh, dressed with a vibrant tabbouleh, the falafel was pillowy, flavorful, not even a little bit greasy. Since then, I’ve gotten the falafel sandwich, I don’t know, hundreds of times. Other items that are not to be missed: the consistently fabulous coffee, which I had previously given up hope of finding in a nabe dominated by gross Peet’s and Starbucks, and the kale and quinoa salad, which I am joyfully eating right now. Pete and Ann and all the folks working at the deli are kind, efficient and thoughtful. Let’s review: 1) delicious sandwiches; 2) excellent coffee; 3) great people. All the ingredients of a good deli. Eat here now.

Been working Downtown for 10 years now and this is still my favorite place to go for lunch. Best sandwiches, soups, and salads downtown. Also much better coffee than Starbucks up the street.

Today was the last time I will give this place a chance. I kept trying it because it was convenient to my work but everytime I have come they have gotten my sandwich wrong. The first couple times were simple mistake things like putting tomatoes when I said none or the wrong cheese this last time it was the wrong meat. I’m sorry but ham is no where near turkey. everytime they get it wrong I have to walk the ¼ mile back to work to open my sandwich to find it wrong to have to walk all the way back to the deli then back to work. This takes my whole lunch break up so I have ended up not eating lunch every single time I have gone there. I will no longer be going there and chancing not being able to eat lunch over a barely mediocre sandwich again. Please avoid this place unless you want to waste your break and not get a meal

Pete has some of the greatest deli sandwiches. Their gyros are awesome too. I am a huge fan of the fresh salads, and always hot and tasty coffee. The staff is wonderful, and quick. One of my favorite places to grab a quick bite on a busy day.

My favorite deli! Delicious REAL fresh food. Everything is made in house, including their yummy soups and desserts. It’s a family owned place… love the owners too :)

Fresh and delicious sandwich. First asked for gluten-free bread and was told they did not have but the second lady behind the counter said they did so make sure to ask twice. Great sandwich a little expensive but good quality.

I am not much of a deli girl, but Fourth Street Market Deli makes the best Chef’s Salads around. Ingredients are fresh, and proportioned to perfection! The best part is that you can get in and out quickly and easily. Minutes from most downtown offices, this place is a keeper!

This is an outstanding deli with many delicious favorites of mine. To start with, you are greeted immediately upon entering with smiles and friendly hellos by the staff. They are happy to answer any questions you have. The falafels here are out of this world– moist and fluffy with good flavor, the Chinese chicken salad is crispy with light sweet & sour dressing. The hummus is awesome with a lot of garlic. 4th Street Deli is a great place to order lunches for the office as well. They will work with you on the menu and trust me, everyone will enjoy the food!

This is probably the most convenient location for lunch to pick up and take elsewhere. When I’m in a hurry I will occasionally get a sandwich here and take it back to my office to work while I eat. My favorite sandwich is the Cobb on the Corner, which has turkey, bacon, avacado, bleu cheese crumbles, lettuce, and tomato. I like it on wheat slices and I add cranberry for an extra cost. It’s a delicious sandwich and I will rarely order any other type. The menu is pretty limited though and they don’t add anything new like I got used to at the Downtown Deli and their daily specials. When I’m really hungry I add a salad. There are a handful of types, and they’ve all been alright, but none that I’ve loved. The sandwich is about $ 8 and and the salads are $ 3.75, both too much in my opinion, so my total meal is $ 12.90 with tax.

This place has amazingly good healthy sandwiches. The sandwiches are made to order and they are made quickly so you can get in and move on with your day. So I go here whenever I visit Sonoma to stock up before driving home to San Diego. The grub I pick up here keeps me satisfied on the long drive home(starting with a breakfast burrito of course). And try as I might, I seem to rarely be able to pass up adding a homemade peanut butter and chocolate bar to my order(so good!). The food is good and the people working here are nice — they even seem to know many of their customers by name. A true neighborhood gem… I love finding places like this and wish more existed.

If you’re downtown on a weekday and want a consistently delicious lunch, check out Fourth Street Market Deli. Their sandwich service is always fast, but if it’s not fast enough for you, you can pick from a wide selection of pre-made meals in the refrigerated section. They have things like lasagne, salads, quinoa salads, etc… All of it is freshly made every day. I like the meatloaf sandwich as well as their downtown chicken. This place and Bill and Deb’s down the street make very different sandwiches, so it’s hard to say one is better than the other. Worth trying out their offerings in any case.

I’ve been coming here for about 5 years now. Everyone is very friendly and knows me and my sandwich. There food has a very high quality to it. I look forward to seeing them even a few times a week. You can really tell that they care about their customers. I would definitely recommend the meatball sandwich or the veggie sandwich!

I started going to this market when I started my new job a couple months back. All my coworkers always go here and like it. I had decent experiences the first 5 or 6 times going there. Then one day I decided I would give the«chicken breast» sandwich a shot. I ordered it on sliced sourdough with sprouts, lettuce, tomato and mayo/mustard. My gosh, I have never had such a plain and boring chicken sandwich in my life. I couldn’t even finish it because it tasted like I was eating a sponge. Nevertheless here is the good and the bad. Good –Prepackaged Salads are good but really? Fennel in your croutons? –Great variety of chips and drinks –Wide pastry selection –I hear the chicken salad is good –Service is good Bad –Why charge extra for cheese when most places include it at no extra charge? –Sandwiches are kind of dry, get extra mayo –You guys should have a sandwich punch card I’ve been back a couple of times and it’s not so bad.

Great family run place, the deli is fast and consistently good. I’ve been coming here for 15 years and they’ve never let me down. Fast easy, a bit pricey but I could eat here any day of the week and be fine. Great little deli, grab a sandwich and eat in the square, it’s good times.

This place needs a new review. I’ll be the first to admit-I was a skeptic, a deli that looks kinda funky and I am supposed to get food here? Initially I was not having it. After some time of working downtown and trying to beat the prices from other local spots I tried it out. Not only is everyone super nice here but the food is great! They make homemade soups that are delicious and offer you a beautiful variety during the week. This place has become a go to lunch spot for me, and I am grateful to it. It has saved me time looking for places and has saved me money in my bank-it doesn’t over charge and offers a great product. Enjoy folks-this is local business at it’s finest.

It’s in a prime location adjacent to Courthouse Square. The layout is nice and it’s great that they have fresh fruit a-la-carte and a section with practical items like meds. I went here primarily for the sandwiches at lunch time. They’re very tasty, with fresh ingredients. I had a pastrami with swiss cheese, cold, $ 7. The prices range from $ 6 – 8 depending if it’s a special or if it’s hot. I think it’s a bit too expensive for the size of the sandwich you get. Go up the block to Mr. Pickles to get something cheaper, and a free cookie!
