Definitely one of the top tour and tasting experienced I have ever had. From beginning to end, Greg was informative, informal, and funny. He took us up the hill past the garden he’s been tending and we did a tasting overlooking the vineyards in the shade of several trees. Incredibly gorgeous. The whole thing took almost 3 hours but it was mostly just us sitting, sipping, and chatting about everything from varietals to the Fisher family history to biking from Thailand to Germany. We never felt rushed and Greg was happy to pour us whatever we wanted to taste. The pours were also quite generous! Make sure to make a reservation and allot some time to spend at this amazing vineyard with incredibly friendly staff.
One of the most special experiences you can have wine tasting. This intimate, family owned-and-operated business is nestled into some of the most beautiful mountains in the region. Walking through the property and hearing the stories told from a friendly face you feel you’ve known an entire lifetime is part of the charm. It doesn’t hurt that the wines themselves are divine. But in that setting, I’m sure you could drink the runoff from the hillside and still think it was nectar of the gods. The Fisher experience is diametrically opposed to the big, corporate, tasting room experiences that dominate much of Napa and Sonoma. You have to have those experiences and everything in between to really get what makes Fisher so amazing but equally, if you only had one stop, one tasting, set aside well over an hour and support this wonderful family business.

Pippy has renewed the vows in front of the Wedding Vineyard and this place and these wonderful people, The Fishers, are truly gifts to the wine experience. What a setting, truly heaven here on earth. If you want a taste of a truly well crafted Chardonnay or the intensity of a perfectly raised Cabernet than get your pigtails up to see Mr and Mrs Fisher, I say their names this way with utmost respect as back in the day when we met them they welcomed us on my birthday with a home made chocolate cake and lunch. In subsequent visits we have now been given this Fisher Family Cake recipe and it lives on to this day in the Pippy house and once our kids are of age and make their first visit up to see the Family Fisher we will give the recipe to them for their kids and to continue growing the relationship with these great people. Go people! Do not pass this up, you will be richly rewarded for years to come. Pippy’s Rating as high as I go, Both Pigtails and BOTH stockings WAY up!

Best experience in napa. Amazing wines made by an amazing family in this unique mountain vineyard. Come ready for an at home feel with a great selection. The lamb vineyard was amazing but the cameron will keep you continually impressed as well.

This place is beautiful! However, Mr. Fisher, Chris, and the crew make it even better. The wine is fabulous whether you are drinking a Rose or Cab. Be sure and say hi to Sake, the Wine Dog, while you are there. He enjoys a good scratch behind the ears!

Second visit to the winery. It is truly a magical place that you will remember more than any other winery you will visit. Getting there is half the fun, and once you arrive you will be warmly greeted and be treated to a tasting of wonderful wines. Visits by appointment only so call ahead. Looking forward to my next visit.

Visted Fisher the other day. Its really off the beaten path. You have to know about it to taste and tour their winery. They have 100 acres with 6 different micro climates and produce around 7,000 cases annually. I tasted their: 2009 Rose(blend of Cab, Syrah, Pinot)($ 25): guava notes on the aroma and especially on the palatte. secondary floral notes with beautiful strawberries and lemons. Very refreshing. 2007 Chardonnay Carneros($ 55): classic popcorn aromas with golden apples, creamy notes, not as much acidity as I would have liked, viscous on the palatte. 2006 Coach Insignia Cabernet Sauvignon($ 80): 100% Cab, smokiness, with minerality, red fruits hiding behind the mustiness. wonderful acidity with medium-lighter tannis, plums and blueberries coming out with violets and herbaciousness. My favorite wine. 2006 Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon($ 85): 100% Cab, red fruits, bigger tannis, finish is unsatisfing, not my style. Really enjoyed the other Cab though. Nice tour, very informative of the family and their style.

Ended a lovely wine weekend at Fisher Vineyards with a tour and tasting overlooking the valley. Cameron was our hostess and what knowledge, charisma and overall hospitality! Their cabs are phenomenal — the Coach Insignia and the Cameron’s Vineyard are my favorites. As Luis O. stated, it’s a pleasure to tour the smaller, family run wineries, where wine is their passion, their history, their legacy.

Like an earlier reviewer my girlfriend and I were invited from friend’s referral. This place epitomizes why visiting smaller family-owned wineries is such a better experience than a lot of the larger wine«corporations». The whole family was there. They were very gracious hosts and extremely accommodating. They were very generous with there time and really wanted to make sure you had a good time as well. It was as though they only wanted you to be comfortable, learn about their winery and enjoy some wine. You didn’t feel like a prospect. They made you feel like a houseguest. That made a big impression on me. I met Rob(Fisher) who walked us up the hill to enjoy a «cache» of the Wedding Vineyard cab. This family knows what they’re doing folks. I met the sister Whitney who is the winemaker. She gave a brief tour of the cave and was really really friendly. I would only suggest that she add some more flavor to her tour by adding more to the storyline when she narrates the tour. Being a first-time visitor, I only wanted to learn more about the history. Clearly though, you can tell that winemaking is her life and I was really impressed with her overall. And then I met the youngest daughter Cameron too… also very sweet and a great hostess. Mr and Mrs. Fisher were on hand as well. Juelle Fisher, clearly the matriarch was such a sweet lady! She came right up to us and chatted us away as well. It’s the only winery I’ve ever visited where I felt like I was visiting someone’s home and got to know a family. It was just a bonus that the wine happens to also be world-class…in my humble opinion of course. Beautiful family. Amazing wine. What was a random last minute add-on to our weekend became the highlight of our trip. Thank you Fisher family!!!

Thanks to the hook up of a friend, we were able to get a personalized tour of this gorgeous estate before we began the tastings. The day had started off rainy and overcast but by the time we got to Fisher, it was sunny, clear and brisk. We hiked up a hill where we were able to gaze down at the vineyard below while learning about the history of Fisher. I often tune out at informational lectures when presented with a lovely view, lost in my own thoughts, but this time I listened to the history of the winery as well as some plans for the future. The Whitney chardonnay and the various cabs we tasted were fantastic. My favorite was the Mountain Estate cab so I took a bottle home with me. Now I need to figure out what I will serve it with to do it justice. Thanks, Tyson, for a fantastic afternoon!

Small lot, single vineyard Cabernets that reflect mountain terroir, structure and fruit. We went on a tour/tasting yesterday, and I was impressed with the sustainable/organing viticultural practices, the respect for place, time and process, and first and foremost, the wines.(They’re really quite good). Thanks to the Fisher family for being such elegant hosts, and for being so sweet to my father on his 80th birthday.
