Had similar experience ordering online as another reviewer a couple months ago: No condiments (sauce for fried wontons in my case) and no fortune cookies.
From this very negative experience, I’ll be sure never to actually go there for a meal.

Excellent — service was spot on, the food was delicious, and the place has a lot of ambience compared to most every other Chinese restaurant. Also the prices were great.
We split some egg rolls, light and crispy (not oily) had a nice crunch with fresh veggies inside. I had the won ton soup which had 2 dumplings and flavorful broth and scallions. My friend had the sweet and sour or hot & sour soup which was better than what I’ve had before.
My entrée was beef and broccoli — the meat was quite tender and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. They asked if I wanted spicy or mild, I chose spicy and it was slightly spicy for me. Everyone has a different range of what they think it is hot — it was perfect. My buddy tasted it and thought it was *Firey*!
He had the Orange Chicken which he liked very much with sides of Chow Mein and Fried Rice — both excellent.
They also deliver — big surprise to have good Chinese food delivered. The staff was Super Kind and Gracious. Truly impressed.
We were also treated to a Chinese New Year Lion Dance — one of the awesome ladies that coordinated the meal (Nancy) had some young people do it and it was a real treat!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This food was horrendous. Felt sick after one bite. 60 dollars worth of trash basically because that’s exactly where it went.

This place was SO delicious! We are so happy to find a great Chinese restaurant (one you can actually sit down and eat at!) The service was actually very good and friendly. They seem to do a great take-​out biz too.
We had the hot and sour soup, it was top notch. We also had the moo shi pork and a clay pot dish. Both were super yummy. Price is right too. We’ll definitely be coming back. Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Only giving two stars because they women on the phone was so nice and helpful when I called to figure out how this online delivery worked after u already order. Other restaurants deliver themselves not by food carrier. My normal restaurant was closed so I Ordered online from here not realizing or being told that a food delivery company was going to take my order from Unilocal charge me extra fees and then take 80 minutes to get to my house. If I would’ve known any of this I would’ve picked up order. When food got here I am highly Disappointed in the quality or taste. Not worth waiting 80 minutes for or even 10 minutes. Dry, bland, no soy sauce, mustard, fortune cookies, not one condiment provided. Extremely disappointed in experience all the way around. Will definitely not be going back. Super bummed I wasted so much money.

This place is cheap and delicious! The service is also very good. I have been coming here since I was a child it’s been around for many years and the customer service is great. The lunch special is a great deal and you get a good amount of food for the price.

Celebrating Josie’s 8^th birthday… she loves the Won Ton soup. Thank you, China Star for making her day so special. Everything was great!!!

I had shrimp with lobster sauce and shrimp with cashews delivered last week. What a waste of money! I took 1 bite of each and threw it away. The shrimp with lobster sauce was extremely bland. The shrimp with cashews smelled like urine! No joke. Tasted like chemicals. My cats will eat anything and even they turned there noses up at it. I will never be ordering from here again!

Two thumbs up for a great lunch special over here at China Star!
For the inexpensive price of $ 10, you can select two lunch sides (ie: orange chicken, cashew shrimp, prawns with sauce, broccoli & beef and etc) and they are accompanied by a small appetizer, hot & sour soup and rice/​chow mein.
My friend Will says the orange chicken was some of the best he’s had. The exterior texture was crispy and flavorful. Everything else tasted delicious and we had no complaints about our food. China Star serves some of the better-​tasting Americanized Chinese food around the Santa Rosa area. The food wasn’t plastered with MSG and sits lightly on your stomach.
The service by the owner is top-​notch and there’s something especially soothing about eating chinese food and listening to KZST in the background…

The food was good, not fantastic, not offensive. The pecking duck was a little dry, the skin wasn’t crispy, and didn’t come with any sauce. The General Tong Chicken had a lot of onions which is fine because I like onions but wasn’t expecting mostly vegetables. The pork chow mein was ok, a little dry also. Eat24 delivered. They charged $ 6.99 delivery fee and there was a $ 5.41 service fee. Big negative if you have it delivered. I ordered through Unilocal and not sure if the service fee is a Unilocal fee. Delivery time was an 1 hour, 45 minutes. Don’t order for delivery if you’re very hungry, it’ll take some time.

I’ve been coming here for years. Definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant. The lunch menu and the outstanding customer service are what always brings me back. I would highly recommend this place. They do a great job catering to their customers.

I always honest with every review I leave anywhere because I love food, love to cook and I am European so I do have high standards but I have grown up here for the last 12 years and learned that food can be simple and still be OK. But I know how important review are to me because it gives me an idea of what to watch out for and what to keep an mind open to.
I give them a 3 star because whom I spoke to over the phone for the delivery was exceptionally kind and profoundly helpful. I have learned customer service in our generation has been declined and left a very sad mark on this generation.
I ordered the family happy meal and I gotta say there was a sauce but not enough to give it an extreme yummy flavor. I had to add a lot of salt just so i could eat more. Way too much cabbage as well. Then i ordered the lemon chicken. Once again bland and standard. It did not stick out enough for me to even take a 3^rd bite.
Then I got some crap raggons. Over fried and barely and I mean barely any fillings.
Then hey forgot to put in any sweet and sour sauce for my raggons, any meal you buy the rice is extra for $ 1.50 and I got no utensil or salt and pepper.
There is usually not much to be expected with Chinese delivery but once in a great blue moon you wowed and you pray and hope that the next one you adventure to will be the same. I will keep searching for the not so perfect but the give me a reason to order again Chinese restaurant.
I gave them a 3 star review because 1) very good customer servivce. But that doesn’t substitute for the food flavor. :(
2) When I called them and explained there was no dipping sauce and no utensil there were kind enough to deliver them to me.
If they would just spice and flavor their sauces more this would be a 5 star restaurant easily.

This place is awful. The Chow main wasn’t good the walnut shrimp was terrible. Didn’t have no flavor. Delivery took 1:45. this place is over priced. U could get better Chinese food up the street go go wok that place is the sh! t.

Went here for the first time last night, and i love the ladies that work there! We ordered to go and they gave us food and water while we waited.
And the food was really good and so reasonably-​priced!

Good full stop.
This place has been here since I was young and was happy to find it was still there when I returned to visit my parents after all these years.

Thought we would try this place out. Lady was very nice. Place was empty. First clue! Chow mein was tastless. Too much garlic in everything else. Not sure what they make the sweet and sour sauce out of? It was VEry thick! Tap water tasted like soap. And crab stars were over cooked.

I do not recommend this restaurant. Ordered delivery. Very pleasant woman on the phone but the order that arrived was incorrect and they didn’t provide adequate utensils as requested (staying in hotel). to make it worse, what we had wasn’t even good — orange chicken, green beans, beef with broccoli (instead of schezwan as ordered). It came to over 50 bucks! I should’ve stuck with pizza delivery here.

Delicious, customizable menu. VERY friendly staff who go out of their way to accommodate their customers.
What a terrific dining experience, too. Nicely appointed, cosy, accessible and reasonable prices)!
