Friendly staff and owners. In a town full of Mexican restaurants it is hard to stand out… the regular salsa is a bit watery, but they make a killer guac! The selection of filings for the tacos was impressive, I had the al pastor and they were great. The carnitas were ok, too dry for my taste.

Sorry to say but I give it a one star, ate there around a month ago got a combo plate and the beans had bubbles coming out of them me a Mexican when there’s bubbles in the beans that means going bad I didn’t eat the beans told my friend about it he proceeded to eat them and next day he got the runs like he couldn’t believe which I did not, smh !

The best part is the salsa bar with guacamole and habanero sauce, and an open interior as well as a couple of sidewalk outdoor tables. After that, hmm. Chips were okay, my husband’s crispy tacos used store bought shells, rice had veggies, and refried beans were runny and bland. My quesadilla was okay, not that cheesy and no replacement for the cheese enchilada I had ordered. The waitress, to her credit offered to bring me a cheese enchilada at no charge once we pointed out the mistake, but I didn’t feel like waiting. La Terraza, our favorite spot with its courtyard tables, excellent enchiladas, and tacos has nothing to worry about. We eat there about once a week, and felt like we should try something new once, but once was enough.

Foe street tacos this is the best place this side of Ensenada. Walk up to the guacamole and salsa bar and load up yer tacos. it’s mostly Mexicans in thus place so you know it is the real deal. If you like lettuce and cheese in your tacos, that’s American so don’t go here. Just order tacos – asada, pollo, carnitas and al pastor. Super cheap and really good.

Mexican food in a dominantly Mexican town, made by Mexican people, this should have been tastier. Now granted I am not a great cook, but I also don’t own a restaurant…
Cabeza taco, pastor taco, Chile relleno, quesadilla– all mediocre, even the chips weren’t good.
The hostess lady was nice, that was the highlight.
The bathrooms were scary.
maybe I will give this place another try someday.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE???
I love pozole, tacos, burritos, AND HORCHATA. If you are walking around Main Street in Santa Paula thirsty as hell, go to this place and order a medium horchata. I believe it’s around 3.50 or something? But they HANDMAKE IT FOR YOU on the spot!
And It’s not that pre-​made watery horchata shit every other Mexican restaurant has. They actually legitimately make them for you. While you’re waiting for the drink, you can seriously hear the blender in the kitchen! It’s just cool okay. And super delicious.
Also, they sell tacos at the monthly car show on Main Street (first Friday of every month). They start serving at around 4 – 5 pm. Their tacos ARE THE BEST. De asada, pastor, carnitas, and tripas are my favorite.
And apart from the food, the service is great! There’s a waitress there that works there all the time, she is super sweet and super amazing, makes sure you are cared for, etc etc.
And the owner is super hard working too! :-)
I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE I EVER ENCOUNTER OK

I love this place! Service is friendly, food has a great taste my boyfriend love the Tripas tacos. I had an Asada torta… had to take out the jalapenos though too hot for me. Free Chips & Salsa brought to your table and they also have a small salsa bar that includes GUACAMOLE! YUMMI !! OMG IF YOU GO THIS PLACE MUST ORDER THE HORCHATA THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!
