Very nice staff and very helpful. They will order what they don’t have if they can find it. Would definitely go back.

Went to YogaRat to buy a mat & towel for Hot Yoga Class which I have been wanting to try for a few weeks now. They have a great selection and the lady was really helpful in helping me find the right mat for me. I ended up purchasing a yoga towel & mat for around $ 49 which I think is a great deal compared to other places in Santa Monica and even some of the online prices. I have since used both my mat & towel and am very happy with my purchase. My boyfriend will go buy his this week. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because their hours are kind of limited and they are not opened on the weekends.

Their towels ruined my dryer, even after being washed at least 3 times. While the Amazon listing may say to wash first, separately, as their colors may bleed, it says zilch about line drying or that their product may stain your dryer the color of the product. The company says this has never happened before. I doubt this is possible, based on how badly colored my dryer is. Both color catchers I had put in the wash were completely saturated with the blue of the«rat.» Just my luck that my husband noticed the wash needed to go into the dryer and did not know about the color catchers and previous bleeding of these towels. The company refunded me for their awful product, but refuses to help with fixing my dryer, the estimate for which is $ 650. Terrible customer service. Unbelievably bad product. Go elsewhere.

Finally got a chance to go to Yoga Rat today! The hours aren’t the easiest for anyone with a real job schedule, but it’s definitely worth finding the time!!! I needed a new mat and was super stoked to use mine today! Their mats are eco-friendly mats at great prices and they have some other cool stuff too! Most importantly, I discovered that they support the Santa Monica community by offering amazing discounts to local school teachers and students! Support this small business and thank them for their work and products!

Came here to pick up my very first yoga mat! I expected when I told the woman working there that, I would get some sort of guidance, but no. I don’t think they do much brick and mortar business. It’s been a couple of weeks, and it has served me well, I just probably would have gotten the sturdier one(PRO?) had anyone been sharing any wisdom. So, next time I’ll get the pro mat, and I’ll get it online. Lesson learned. Namaste.

Great spot for yoga gear! The towel I purchased recently worked great in my hot yoga class! Super absorbant, no slippage. Friendly, helpful staff, and great deals if you check in! Only wish it was open a bit later in the day.

LOVE the RatMat Pro — no slipping anymore! The Yoga towels are amazing as well, so light and soft and crazy absorbent. I shop at their Outlet store in Santa Monica as I live close by and the prices can’t be beat. :)

I love YogaRat! Maybe it’s the cool building or the snazzy products but their Hot Yoga towels are the shiznit. I discovered them via Amazon when looking for a «Yoga Towel» but decided I had already plunked down some cash for my Jade Harmony Yoga Mat and didn’t want to pay the same price again for some. towel.(Yogitoes). So the next great alternative underdog? Yoga Rat. I checked out their website, saw they had an outlet store close to me(kind of) and HAD to pay a visit. Their store was so neat, plenty of street parking(although metered) and the guy at the counter had the dreamiest blue eyes. The towels themselves were great. The regular yoga towel was definitely significantly thinner than the Hot Yoga towels. Since I was doing Bikram, I decided to go for broke and get the Hot Yoga towels. Online it was $ 39.99, in store it was $ 29.99. I also picked up the Hot Yoga Hand and Face Towel($ 7.50, normally higher as well). Also picked out some flip flops but quickly learned it’s barefoot inside the temple so will be returning those later(although really comfy). Everything they sell online they seem to have in store. While using the items in Bikram — you don’t need to wash them first before using. It really wicked away moisture(well, as well as could be from dripping sweat) and kept me «cool“er than I would have been. No slippage here, folks, and didn’t even need silicone nubs under. The texture is a bit microfiber-y(catches the skin) but it really didn’t distract me. It was like a low-pile soft carpet. Luckily I really liked BIkram so I’ll be back for another towel soon.(o: Doesn’t accept Discover.
