This is a great«undiscovered-been here for years» neighborhood eatery where the food is always fresh, well prepared and delicious. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. The fava bean purée and tomatoes that grace the table as soon as you’re seated are a favorite. Fish always fresh. Pasta –perfectly al dente. Always a delicious non-dairy soup du jour. My favorite entries are the whole Bronzino and the organic chicken. Desserts are great and they bring a cookie assortment to the table as a thank you. Highly recommend for a consistently great dinner.

Ive only eaten here once. That was enough. As good as it gets!!! My friend got the bolognese which she has sworn by for 20+ years(or so she says) and I got the special. The special was special. VERY special. My whole childhood i ordered Fettuccine Alfredo but at a certain point in my life it just became too rich. Having not eaten it in at least 8 years for some reason the words that flowed from the waiters mouth made it hit the spot even before it hit the table. I don’t think it was an actual Fettuccine but whatever it was was epic. So light i expected it to float away. That with the perfectly balanced Fontina cheese black truffle sauce made me jump out of my chair. Every bite better than the last yet every bite one of the best bites i’ve had. 20 years of the same bolognese says one thing, and one portion of the special says the exact same thing. Quaint small quiet and never crowded. Go. You’ve read this far, you now must go and try it.

The food is pretty darn good at Amici. A little costly but the ambiance is better than most nearby. Parking is also good but they force you to valet in the parking lot behind the restaurant. The problem is, give your car to the valet near the back door of the place and he parks it 5 feet from where you just gave it to him. I’m not a fan of giving some guy that doesn’t speak English $ 5 for moving my car 5 feet. So the valet service is to try to look good instead of being practical. Here’s a hot tip: 40 yards down the street(south) there is a Washington Mutual Bank with excellent secret parking in the back for FREE.
