Friendly service, good location right on the pier, which brings me to the major gripe. 5.75 for an iced chai latte, 5.65 for a regular cappuccino(5.95 for a double). When asked why it was so expensive the cashier said it was because of the location. So if you want to save yourself a few bucks, grab your caffeine before you get to the pier at one of the other million locations.

This is gonna be short and sweet. Basically came here on a Saturday afternoon while showing a friend from out of town the Pier. The service is quite slow and they do not do a good job explaining about their menu considering all the popular tourist that comes not knowing what Coffee Bean is. Anyhow, we basically waited for 20 minutes for an ICEDCOFFEE. Plus my friend said it tasted really bad, so he ended up throwing it in the trash after 1 sip… Stick to Starbucks!

Nice little coffee place right on the pier! Great location with an excellent view. No inside seating, but there are plenty of places to sit right outside. Not your coffee shop for getting work done, but definitely a good place for getting a cup of coffee before you walk up and down the pier.

Perfect place to stop by on a cold night at the beach. Employees inside are warm and friendly professionals with excellent customer service!!! I’ll be back!

I dunno how the deal works, but Pacific parks owns this Coffee Bean, not Coffee bean, and it truly does a disservice to the brand. A one armed barista could have done a better job than these clowns behind the counter. I ordered a hot tea… which has two ingredients… 1) hot water 2) a tea bag No joke, no exaggeration…14 minutes later after I paid for my order, I received my hot water and tea bag. C’mon folks, that is silly, tragic, and atrocious. I’ve seen 8 year olds running lemonade stands who are more efficient. I’m a big fan of Coffee Bean… but I will likely use a magnifying lense and heat some ocean water next time I’m at the pier. Did I mention they don’t accept Coffee Bean gift cards? Yeah, they don’t.

It’s a mess! From a former employee, I was so bummed! This should be one of the best locations since its hit by so many tourists! Come on Coffee Bean — step it up!

Worst experience ever. The chick yelled at my brother for just asking if his drink was right. Then when my brother asked for a different drink she yelled at her co worker for not explaining the drink correct. I’m sorry this was the first time we went into a coffee bean and after this never again

I ordered an ice blended mocha and I ended up getting an ice blended vanilla. After they made another one, I found a piece of glass in my mouth which I had to spit. I don’t mind that they messed up my order. I just didn’t like the fact that they didn’t take their time to make the drink. The piece of glass in my drink is extremely dangerous and I could have choked on it. Please retrain the employees on the basic health standards. Photo is listed.

Santa Monica Pier has a Coffee Bean… well well… what do you know! 1) I love Coffee Bean ice texture!!! 2) The Iced Peach Tea is absolutely divine! 3) The bagels are well exactly that! 4) The brownies are perfect with a unsweetened drink. 5) The tea flavor selection is out of this world. 7) The Chai Tea Latte was approved by Dad 8) They only have medium and large cups. Ain’t no small here! 9) Customer Service was friendly 10) There are outdoor benches. No tables inside… unless you wanna sit on a pretend chair. Booty squat-ed out knees bent. That’s fine by me. So did u notice something missing in this review. Well… message me if you caught it. ;)

This location in specifically shorted me some coffee, they must have measured wrong, and the coffee is a little expensive just for a hot regular coffee lol. Other than that coffee was yummy like the iced coffee

The most expensive coffee I ever purchased. A regular coffee is over $ 3. Not espresso. Not a latte. Drip coffee. Total rip off. I feel bad for the workers. It totally cuts into the tips. The coffee isn’t great. Average at best. Although, I’m a huge coffee fan connoisseur.

It was awhile since I had gone to coffee bean. I always choose Starbucks if they are near by. Well, there wasn’t a Starbucks so I wanted to give it a try again. I wasn’t sure what to get, but I saw a sign that said new cookies n cream ice blended. That got my attention since I love cookies n cream. I was just hoping that I liked it. I remember the last time I came here I didn’t like the ice blended flavor I had got. Maybe it was just the favor I had gotten. Let me just say it was the bomb! It was soooo good! I totally recommend it if you really don’t know what to get. My sisters asked for a sip and they all went crazy over it. They loved it. One of them said she liked it more the the Starbucks Frappes. It was delicious. The place was nice. They don’t have indoor seating. There is outside seating and they provide some umbrellas on the tables for the shade. It was super packed and there was no where to sit. I give them 3 stars because when I finally found a seat with some shade some employee started taking off the umbrellas and moving them to other tables. You can’t really say anything because it’s their umbrellas and I guess some important customer of theirs didn’t have shade. Either that or it was the employees who didn’t have shade and wanted to take a break under the umbrellas. The ice blended was good, but that got me so pissed. I was waiting for someone to get up because it was so hot and when someone finally get’s up they take away my shade haha Come on man, I didn’t even have a hat to cover the sun ughhh *UPDATE: The marketing manager commented on my review and explained why the umbrellas where taken down. First of all, thank you for caring about your customers. Secondly, I am sorry I assumed the worst when they took the umbrellas away. I was a little mad that I had no more shade. People can say some mean things when they are mad. Now that I know the umbrellas are taken down due to a wind warning I will gladly give you 4 stars. Customer service was efficient and fast. I also did enjoy my ice blended immensely.

This place seems more expensive than most(all other?) Coffee Beans I’ve ever been to. The cashier was friendly and quick but they were really slow at making drinks. When my drink was called, I went to pick it up but the woman still had her hand around it and she had turned around to chat to her coworker. It was very awkward. I was hovering with my hand ready to grab the drink but I was too polite to actually pull it out of her grasp or to interrupt her chat with her coworker. Not coming back here.

This coffee has to be the worst coffee on the planet. I rather drink sea water and drink this coffee again. Your coffee at your hotel will be 10 times better! I recommend you never visit this place on Santa Monica pier!!!

Worst Coffee shop ever, VERYBADSERVICE, DONOTGO. I visited this place on Saturday evening 6÷27÷2015 with my friends. I ordered 2 Mocha Latte &1 Hot Chai. I have paid for the order and said the cashier that I do not want the receipt when she asked me. We were waiting for our drinks. We waited for 15 min I saw people who came after me got their order and left and the I checked about my order they said they do not have an order with my name and demanded to show the receipt. I said I did took the receipt but I have done credit transaction and it is recorded in banking app. Their manager came to me he asked few questions about my oder, verified the transaction. Be was still sceptical. We finally got our coffee after 40 minutes of waiting. Bottom line. Do not visit this place, if you do visit make sure to take your receipt.

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #94 No, go away. Please. PLEASE I TELLYOU. So after being on the Third Street Promenade and seeing THREE(I kid you not) DIFFERENT CBTLs in a three block radius(the third being on the boardwalk), we decided to go to this one because of convenience, since we had just finished visiting the pier and were about to go to the beach. The first thing I saw were that the prices were a wee higher than I thought usual prices were. I was kinda surprised but really thirsty so I continued ordering a herbal Iced Tea Lemonade(large — $ 4.00 here). I was thirsty so I asked for water, and I got a small water cup that, at the end, had some black spots on the bottom. Was it the ice, the water, or the cup? I don’t even know. Weird thing is that usually in other stores, they give the regular sized cup and then give you the water in it. :(Hmmm idk. The lemonade tasted normal, nothing watered down or anything much. And oh yeah. THEYDON’T ACCEPTGIFTCARDS. It’s like this place doesn’t even want to be a CBTL. Wow. Wouldn’t come here again. Although the building in green looks nice and historical since it’s at the end of Route 66.

Santa Monica Pier: not only are prices inflated here but they do not accept the company’s Rewards program. They sell drinks but no tins or bags of tea and coffee beans. No inside tables. Busy location located on far side of Pacific Park sign as you walk towards end of pier.
