Ridiculously slow. People at cash register took a very long time to process order. It wasn’t even crowded when I entered. Line started forming behind me as it took so long. Then waiting for the drinks made the people at the register look lightning fast. Coffee is lukewarm also. Not a good experience. Layout is also terrible. The flow is not conducive to getting people in and out.

Walked in ordered a vanilla latte. The cashier had a bad attitude scanned my $ 10 bill as if it was fake. Then when I asked the two people I was with if they wanted anything the cashier kept repeating ‘name’ ‘name’ ‘name’ then after I paid he gave me change then asked if I wanted receipt. I said ‘yes’ and he sarcastically said ‘that’s awesome’. Total ass attitude. Wish I got his name he is a tallish skinny kid maybe part Indian background. Then I waited 11 minutes for a vanilla latte, watching as 2 other customers who ordered after me got their drinks. My girlfriend asked barista about my order and he rudely said ’ yeah yours is up next’ as he looked at computer screen and then began making the drink which I assume he had forgotten about. The people who work here are miserable!

There a reason this place has 3 stars. Went here to get coffee and needed to pee really bad, mind you this is late at night, literally 2 people in the whole place. Cat one of the baristas wouldn’t give me the bathroom code to give my girl until I made a purchase. Talk about shitty customer service. Oh and cat if you’d like to know it’s the guy in the green hat on Halloween night.

I was refused service by a barista because I had brought in a Razor scooter with me which I was going to set aside to order my coffee. Never have I been to a coffee shop where I couldn’t bring in my scooter and it’s required for my job. Even at this location I have been able to purchase coffee before having my scooter. I was rudely told to take it «Outside!» And«you can’t bring that in here» by the woman behind the counter even after I told her that I was going to purchase a cup of coffee. All in all rude employee and unprofessional conduct of service, will not be coming back again.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is a café chain serving items similar to a Starbucks. My family and I were quite thirsty so we ordered iced coffee, hot coffee’s, and ice Passion Fruit Sweet Tea. All which were quite refreshing after doing some sightseeing. All of the iced beverages came with crushed iced. The Passion Fruit Sweet Tea will definitely keep you cool during this hot and humid summer!

I LOVETHEPURPLESTRAWCOMPANY! I love coffee bean. When I was assigned to work in Santa Monica for a week, this would be my daily stop for my caffeine fix. I always get my usual, English breakfast tea latte with whipped cream, by the third day the baristas would smile at me and know what I am ordering. The servers were friendly and upbeat, my drink always comes out perfect and I don’t need to do any adjustments. Line isn’t long during a specific time in the morning but I have gone in during the afternoon for a ice tea run and I had to wait a tad longer than I normally would. Thanks guys at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf!

Oh boy… As much as I want to give 4 stars, like other locations I cannot. Here is why: It’s located on the busy 3rd street promenade, so they get a lot of foot traffic here. However, they have people taking up the tables and chairs that have empty cups, glasses and just sitting and reading a book and people watching. There should be a way to set limits on how much time people can occupy these tables and chairs. It’s just not fair for the other paying patrons. Service is quick, lines move quickly and the baristas are accommodating with requests. The greatest thing about Coffee Bean is their consistency with their coffee, drinks and foods. It’s reliable no matter which location you go to.

I wish I had the option to give negative stars! I walked into this Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf location this afternoon to get an iced tea and use the restroom. I stood in line for the restroom and heard the«M. O. D.» Yelling from the register, in front of all of the customers, «THERESTROOMSAREFORCUSTOMERSONLY!!». I was blown away by how rude this was! I chose to ignore her and order my drink after I had used the restroom. She then came out to the hallway and started yelling the statement again! I was so embarrassed and angry that someone could be so rude! I was not in her house! I was in a place of business and was a paying customer! I have never felt so mistreated in a business establishment before today! I will never go back to this location and possibly not to coffee Bean again if they chose to have people like her manage their establishment!

If you notice from my profile, I rarely write one star reviews unless they are really earned. So without further ado, read at your own risk! Typically, I am a Starbucks customer and decided to come here instead because it was close to the pier, where I was watching a concert. I really had an urge for a hot chocolate so I came here as Starbucks was slightly further away. What a perfect opportunity to steal a loyal Starbucks customer, right? The store was found very dirty, the staff was not helpful and were extremely rude to customers ahead of me in a short line. I am not generally familiar with their menu as I am with Starbucks and asked a couple of questions. One of the employees quickly grew upset and decided to ignore me and kept asking me to repeat my questions and then walked away in mid question! She would provide short answers that weren’t relevant to what I was asking. I think she was deliberately trying to get rid of me so she wouldn’t have to work, but what do I know?! I was truly in shock but thought she was having a bad day. I mean, ok, you don’t want to deal with customers but didn’t Coffee Bean teach her common courtesy to others as a staple? So, I redirected my questions to this other person, who claimed he was the M.O.D. I advised him of the problem and he said«Rocio is having a bad day and she has the flu.» My stomach turned and I thought, «No way am I ordering if she’s handling cups.» I explained I would be taking my business to Starbucks and this manager said, «Sir, you are just ordering two coffees.» I smiled and just said goodbye! Are they serious? How arrogant! When I asked to have the General Manager to call me back, he actually refused and said there was no general manager at this location. Seriously? Whatever! How can this establishment hire such rude employees so unwilling to assist customers? NEVER again, Coffee Bean, never again.

I do like their hot tea drinks and they hve almond milk as well as coconut milk as alternatives, which I love. However their iced lattes just don’t do it for me. After my email to the manager, I received two drink coupons to try them out again. With my first coupon I got an iced tea latte. Same warm n watered down experience. I didn’t like it ATALL, and as it was a free drink to give cbtl another try, I did not complain. Instead I will just note to self never to order these iced tea lattes ever again. Thanks but no thanks With the second drink I chose to get one last delicious hot tea latte. I enjoyed it and ill probably return in the winter but definitely not for the summery drinks. Coffee bean I appreciate you trying to keep me a happy patron but in the end the average is just«ok.»

Extremely sweet hazelnut nonfat latte. They gave me the wrong drink instead of what I ordered. Prices are fair. But great location in the heart of Santa Monica :)
