I love, love, love Amanda! She’s not just totally thorough, but she goes out of her way to make it as pleasant an experience as possible. Would recommend her and Sugaring LA to anyone.

So for this being the first time here, I had a great experience! I’ve had horrible experiences in the past with wax centers so I was definitely a little hesitant. Maia was amazing! She made me feel so comfortable and explained everything to me. I was recommended by my friend and I’m so glad I tried this place out. I will definitely be back to see Maia!

Love this place! Always a comforting and friendly staff! Super clean facilities which has kept me coming back for a year now. All that and I love the results! I’ve happy a couple different people there and they’ve all been great from day 1! Don’t be scared to try something new out, trust me!

Been going here for 3 years now, and I go to Maya which is amazing! Fast and extremely gentle. I can say that I have less hair than I used to. I go every 3 – 4 week so you get special price on rebboks for brazilians. Sugaring is definitely worth a try!

I really do love this place now. This was my first time getting any hair waxed/​sugar pulled from down below, so I was very nervous. Everyone told me that it would be blinding pain, but it hurt less than I expected. I had Amanda and she did an excellent job. I thought she was very friendly and she helped me feel comfortable. She took the akwardness out of the situation. Everything was very clean, and Katelyn (she was the receptionist) was very friendly. I am definitely going to go back, and I will be recommeding this place to my friends.

This is a very bad place to go.
We walked in, the receptionist was friendly and it was very well decorated so I expected a nice experience. The lady that did my legs was not very nice. She was not friendly at all! It hurt A LOT and she got almost no hair of! Even though she kept redoing each spot, (which made it hurt more), the result is patchy, agitated, and overall terrible. She «wiped» my legs with a towel but I’m still covered in sticky things. She put no moisturizer or lotion at all and my legs are itchy and sticky and hurt. I will have to shave my legs because she did such a bad job. I will not be coming here again. I’m only in ninth grade, and I feel like the took advantage of my lack of knowledge and maybe my shyness because this was nothing like the reviews. Trust me, go somewhere else or just shave your legs!
Update: the owner, Danielle called me after seeing this review and she was very nice. She even refunded our money!

This was my first time at sugaring LA and everyone was so nice and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable !!

The place is nice and clean and the service is amazing! My skin was not irritated after the service. Jessica was very nice and kept giving me instructions which was very useful! Will come back soon :)

Best sugar experience ever! Sugaring LA Is a true find. Danielle is worth the wait list and Tyler is comedy all of the time. I have gotten into the habit of making my next appointment before I walk out the door for an added discount.

I’ve been to sugaring la a few times now and I love it! I just got a Brazilian with Jessica and it was quick and painless!

I’ve been sugaring for almost 3 years now and definitely prefer it over waxing! It’s less painful, my hair is thinner and my appointment is so quick! Over the three years I’ve been going to Maia and absolutely love her. Plus– their new spot is so cute and in a great location.

I have had my legs and bikini waxed with a very reputable esthetician for a LONG time and started to get tired of being ripped… especially when I started to get bruising on the skin in my bikini area where the skin is thinnest. Someone recommended to try Sugaringla in Santa Monica and what a great experience! I don’t know what these other girls are talking about that it hurt more than waxing… it was the opposite for me! Jessica was such a great technician and talked me through the whole process… so simple and yet so effective without hurting!
I will definitely be going back!

I love Sugaring! I’ve been coming here for over two years, and it’s the only waxing place that has thinned my hair out over time. I’ve had friends who have complained about it being painful the first time they try sugaring, but after that it is astronomically less painful than alternative types of waxing. I also love their customer service — they will change your appointments via text!

I have been waxing for over 20 years. And have recently started sugaring, It’s so much better! And my girl Sandy is an extremely experienced technician, and is always friendly and happy! I highly recommend sugaring LA :)

The place is nice and clean and the service is amazing!
I’m a first time «sugaring» client so I’m not sure how much is specific to this location or how much is just the way sugaring works.
It hurts a tad more than waxing but not bad at all.
My skin was not irritated after the service. Other clients talked about coconut oil– I didn’t get that.
I hope there are no or few ingrown hairs but it’s too soon to know. However 2 days later and I can already see hairs browning back. Almost as if I shaved.
The reason I don’t give it 5 starts is because there are many many hairs left, I’m going to have to get waxed, shave or something (which is not recommended because it undoes the benefits). The worse part is that the girl who did my service was super diligent. But still many many hairs left and some are not absolutely gone but just left a small stubble as if the hair just broke and didn’t come out from the root. This is always a bummer but more when the service is so expensive (84 for half leg!)
I’m probably going to try a different place at some point to see if it’s just how sugaring is or it its this place.

LOVE this place. I’ve been to a few of the ladies here and they are all great. Amanda is my normal go-​to and she is great at making the process as easy and painless as possible.
My favorite thing about coming here versus any other hard wax place is that it’s sooo much better for my skin and there is definitely a difference with how much longer it lasts. I also noticed that regrowth from hard wax is super itchy, but I haven’t ever experienced that since I started sugaring. For me, that’s the real tell of a job well done.

First Wax Experience: The first time hurt REALLY badly. I’ve done regular waxes before, but the sugar goes against the hairs, which made it hurt even more. I had Maia though and she was very friendly and informative. The hairs grew thinner, which was awesome, but I did notice that some of my skin peeled off as well so I was a bit scared to go on a second trip to this place… but I decided to give it another try thinking that it would be better this time around.
Second Wax Experience: This time I had Sandy and it was less painful during the part where they put the sugar wax against your hairs. Sandy was very informative, awesome, real, and nice. The second wax experience made me like this place a bit more and I haven’t noticed peeled-​skin so far…
The technique really works and the people who work here are super friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit on the higher end and it is kind of unsanitary to lie on a bed that doesn’t have a disposal tissue layer on top of it, but they do wipe that off with a lot of alcohol so it’s not AS bad. Overall I would say I’d come back here, and if you’re curious, you should use their new client deal with the brazilian waxes!
