Spectrum Pool & Spa Care

I just used Spectrum for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was a great experience. The heater in my Endless Pool had failed for the second time (lasting only a little over two years). Their tech Chris came out and explained to me why the heater did not last very long (due to poor design) and suggested another larger heater that would be more efficient and have a longer life span. Wish I had had that input the first time I replaced it, also after a short two year lifetime. They installed it quickly, left the site cleaner than when they arrived and I was very happy with their service. After they left I smelled what I thought was a burning smell, was concerned, called Chris who said it was most likely just the normal smell a new heater makes when starting up but if I was concerned to turn it off and he would come back. He did, on his day off (Saturday). It was just the normal new heater burnoff smell and additionally he replaced a gauge that had nothing to do with the heater but seemed to be faulty, at no additional charge. Their prices are fair and their service is fabulous so I am happy to recommend them.

My parent’s pool in Westside LA was installed over 20 years ago and while the pool and spa were still ok the equipment was not hanging with the times. I called several pool companies to bid to install new heater and pumps and the bid from Spectrum was fair and it was clear they were capable of doing a full change-​out.
During our discussions we opted for an automated controllers and salt based chlorine instead of the bleach based, both of which my parents love.
Brad was the contact man and ran the job. I live out of town so could not be there for all the installs but Brad was very kind to my parents who are now very happy with how it turned out.
We also used Spectrum for new railings which were handled by Tomo and who did a fine job. There were a couple of hiccups such as the variable pump not working out of the box. I contacted Brad and he arranged for the manufacturer who cam out, replaced the pump.
Finally we hired Spectrum for regular pool service and that is now ongoing.
I am writing this review as a recommendation for all of the phases described above.

Spectrum Pool came and helped service our pool. It needed some major TLC. They were able to provide excellent service and pricing, and their entire staff is very knowledgeable! I would use them again in a heartbeat! Great job!

After being disappointed with several other pool service companies I found Spectrum online. The office staff is responsive and extremely professional and the weekly pool service tech is reliable, courteous and very knowledgable about all aspects of pool care. They do a great job.
