I was a first time customer and just had a terrible experience with the owner Bruce. Charged me $ 180 for a 2.5 ft x 2.5ft ft piece of polycarbonate, and wanted to charge me even more to drill some holes. Furthermore, the piece wasn’t cut exactly right and when I took it back to get it fixed he was really unhelpful and didn’t want to fix it. I went to solter plastics to have them fix it and guess what. They would have cut the same exact piece for only $ 80! They were extremely helpful and cut the piece exactly the way it needed to be. Never going back here again.

I don’t know what George A.‘s deal is but Santa Monica Plastics is manned by two of Hastings Plastics best guys. If he really knew Hastings Plastics like he makes out to, he’d know… but, apparently, he doesn’t. Santa Monica Plastics is not «expensive» and they always go out of their way for me. Even tracking down materials they don’t usually stock. I’ve never had a problem with them. I am a working artist who exhibits internationally. I work with plastics resins frequently within my practice and also repair my own surfboards. I had been a customer of Hastings for years and Santa Monica Plastics since they filled Hastings void after closing. I trust and respect Santa Monica Plastics products and services implicitly.

They impersonate Hasting plastics in the web searches to get customers.
