Salon NESOU

This review is a long time coming. I finally decided to use my Unilocal account for more than checking reviews and actually start reviewing. I have been going to Tim Ou for the past 4 – 5 years. I make the hour to hour and a half drive from Santa Clarita with traffic to get my hair done by him. He’s literally the only one I trust to cut, color, and treat my hair. I have faithfully been going to him for my Brazillian every 4 – 5 months. If you’re looking for a great stylist who cares more about the condition of your hair then making a buck, he’s the one for you!

This place is just awful. I think that that these positive reviews are staged personally. A little too much emphasis on the Brazilian blowout which everyone does now and photos which is a little weird for everyone to be sharing. In short, the place is way overpriced and the service stands much room for improvement. Prices are comparable to many salons in Beverly Hills that are much more professional and the staff is pretty rude. The girls at the front desk are usually rude, cocky and certainly not professional. And in general, I don’t feel that the hairdressers are very talented or really know what they’re doing. I actually tried two of them hoping someone would get my hair right and neither did. Then I finally went to a real salon and instantaneously found a competent hairdresser so it definitely wasn’t my hair being too thick or challenging which one lady there had suggested. Also there have been several times that I tried to call when they are supposedly open that they don’t answer the phone. Just another typical overpriced Santa Monica establishment with poor service and quality.
