Wonderful find! I was walking down Main St. hoping to find some gifts and serendipitously stumbled into this store. Found some great jewelry, cards, candles, and Filthy Farmgirl soaps! These are super cheeky, little bit naughty, awesome soaps that would make great gifts. My gifts were placed into little bags and stuffed with cute tissue paper and adorned with a bow. Great customer service! Will be back next time I need more gifts.

Hands! Down! One of my all-time favorite places to support. I’m not big on consuming(other than food… I make up for it there), but the items in this shop are EXACTLY what I like to buy! Local artists creations, up-cycled, re-purposed, recycled, sustainably harvested, and some items offer a portion of their proceeds to go toward charities and restoration efforts! Every time I go in I discover that«perfect gift» for someone. Art, games, jewelry, just adorable stuff! They’re all about bringing the community together and supporting those who beautify our world :) I think KCRW members(or card holders?) get a discount too. A must visit!

I love the store’s dedication to supporting American artists. This is a great place to find unique gifts for all types of people. From home décor, to fine jewelry, handmade art, and books… this store has everything that can’t be found many other places. Personally, this is my go-to place to spend money on myself.

This is a beautiful shop. There’s a very personal feel to the art and jewelry selection. I came here to buy a necklace for my mom — a nice gold chain with an opal. The woman who helped me was super friendly and personable. Don’t miss out on the cards in the back — you think it’s just a cutesy store but the greeting cards have got some witty bite.

I LOVELOVELOVE this place! This is one of my «go to» stores. They are so friendly and really know their inventory. An eclectic array of choices. You can get lost in there. The products are quality and so is the owner. Don’t miss out on this one.

eclectic(iklektik) adj. — deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. Example of usage: MindulNest sells an eclectic mix of gifts, art, knick knacks, postcards, books, jewelry, and more. I’m not sure what the theme of this store on Main Street is at all, but it’s probably«stuff we like and maybe others will, too.» Since the people at MindfulNest are great people, I’ll trust their judgment. If I heard right while I was in the shop, most(or possibly all) of the items are actually«Made in America.» Go USA! Whether you’re on a shopping mission or simply strolling by, MindfulNest is always fun to stop in and browse the eclectic collection. You may not know what gift you’ll find, but at least you’ll always find someone smiling and willing to help.

I luv supporting local artist and local business. Unfortunately this business gave me poor customer service over a watch necklace that doesnt keep the time. I did not want a refund, just a swap. The woman behind the counter was gruff, rude, and wasnt helpful. I will not support poor customer service.

A beautiful store with so many great gifts and art pieces to chose from that you will want to do all your birthday/holiday shopping here. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. As an artist myself, I was impressed by the beauty, originality, and craftsmanship of all of the pieces. The prices are reasonable and everything is made in the USA!

This place has some great stuff! Everything from funny stuff to cool stuff to accessorize your place. Also a big plus is that the items I believe are all made in America. The only catch with me, if you have read any of my other posts, is that it is a little pricy. On the plus though it is great stuff.

This is my new«go to» store. They have so many things to choose from — art and jewelry being my 2 faves. Their prices are very reasonable, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. A friend of mine purchased earrings and a necklace by Kyle Chan here, so I visited this store to get a set of my own… I did and then some! I’ve purchased jewelry for my mother, and some art pieces for my mother-in-law, and now I’m eyeing a handbag as my next purchase for ME;-) I have also purchased some of their wall art work — very unique! And take a peek at the matted artwork by Falstreau — LOVEIT!!! Check it out — I’m sure you’ll find something special for that special someone:-)

Mindfulnest is a wonderful little store full of handmade-in-America goods from a variety of local artists. What a way to support the community. It’s great for unique gifts. Why shop for a loved one at Target or Wal-Mart when you can give them something really special… something that supports local artisans?! I always manage to find a gift here. It’s become a go-to stop-and-shop for me!

A wonderfully hidden artsy shop that really should be on everyone’s «go to» list for unique, one of a kind art pieces by local artists. The finds here are typically created by artists that truly appreciate and celebrate nature. From jewelry to wall hanging art to ceramic type items, they jam pack this small shop with something for all kinds of particular tastes. The owner will re-size jewelry if necessary, ship to wherever, and seems to turn over their inventory quite frequently. Vibe is not haughty. In fact, it’s super laid back and friendly. On Main Street in downtown Santa Monica, paid parking lots or metered parking are pretty convenient around there. Must.Check.Out! This is definitely on my list when I need a change in décor, a memorable gift, or a great pick me up!

I LOVETHISPLACE! This would be my one stop shop for all holidays, birthdays, gifts of any and all sorts. Most, if not all items are made in the USA, something I love. Most, if not all are local! I am sad that the scent bar went away… I am hoping that soon they use that space for more awesome things…

Happened upon this lil shop and spent the next half hour scouring through all their cute accessories! Unique jewelry at reasonable prices. Walked away with an adorable silver necklace. Owner is nice and expanded not too long ago to Burbank location though haven’t checked that one out yet. Worth a visit if perusing or dining in the area!

Unique Gift Shop and one that I have plans to return to probably next month. Most unusual items clever and ‘one-of-a-kind’ pieces. Jewelry, Lotions, Novelty items, ‘Day-of-the-dead’ ornate Flask etc. Real AWESOME items and they are located a few store fronts away from Clouds so if you don’t find what you are looking for in Clouds check this place out has more unusual flare for sure. They had a coffee table that looked like it was made up of old albums(LP’s) for a little over $ 1k and also had like frames that looked like they held cassette tapes all these were artworks to be framed. Really cool! They do not ship and they do not have a website to see the items… only pooper about it =/ Respectfully Reviewed

I really like this place! As soon as I walked in I recognized these fabulous record and cassette prints on canvas which a local artist makes. My friend has one, it is a photo of actual records made to look like a painting. I wandered around and found an engraved wooden box and a tiny Celtic heart keepsake box which slides over to the right to open. I still had to get my friend a gift and found these sarcastic and hilarious coasters. I have several of them but also found a different type of coaster with the same funny sayings but different pictures on them. It was a successful shopping stop and the salespeople were really friendly and the gift wrap looks great! I will definitely be back and soon. They had lots of fun gifts from clocks to body lotions to jewelry. A great selection and competitive yet affordable prices.

This shop isn’t hard to find. It’s somewhere between Hill and Ashland on Main street just a few minutes after passing Ocean Park Blvd if you’re coming from Santa Monica Blvd. There are tons of unique gifts here like home décor, one-of-a-kind fashion accessories, and some really cool greeting cards from local or indie artists. I found my way here through KleanSpa, I had just purchased some online and arranged with Jennifer for pick-up and she directed me here. So you will find a good part of the back of the store filled with KleanSpa products. Some of the reviewers here wrote that you could even create your own fragrance, I skipped this to avoid getting migraine, it happens to me at department stores perfume section A LOT. Anyway, I urge you to try KleanSpa products, you will do your skin a huge favor and you’ll wonder why you had not tried their products before!

I was wandering down Main St. Santa Monica, as I often do several times a week, minding my own business and admiring the window displays when I came upon a window with trinkets and leather journals abound, and I thought to myself… wha what is this? MindfulNest is the kind of store that is a danger to my survival because I want to walk out of their store with everything. You might think this is an exaggeration but I assure you it is not. From their exquisitely(and expertly) designed space to their friendly and helpful staff, this quaint shop has the perfect array of gifts for others(’tis the season!) or yourself(always acceptable!). My personal favorites are their hand-crafted leather bound journals that are more than something to write in, they are pieces of art that you’ll want to cherish and keep forever; the jewelry collection is eclectic and I am sure you could find a piece for any occasion(casual or formal); they have quirky gifts(bike-chain bracelets!) and they have incredible art-work. They also carry KleanSpa body products made from simple ingredients that spoil your skin(I adore the coconut Shea lotion). I really could go on and on, but if it isn’t clear already that I am a fan and that you should be too, I don’t think rambling on about how the two women who started MindfulNest seek out the most unique artists to carry in their store and bring an ambiance of relaxation, intrigue and exploration into their shop, will really change your mind. Go forth and find your own sense of MindfulNest.
