Summary — disorganized, unfriendly and unnecessarily rude to someone trying to handle a small problem with a lot of patience, respect and goodwill. Order from this location often. Usually a good experience. This is the first time it was delivery and boy did it go wrong. The order arrived missing one sub. Not a big deal, accidents happen. I call and politely try to get it fixed. What happens next is a 30 minutes time suck, getting bounced speaking with 3 different people and ultimately no solution. It’s simple enough to apologize for the error and quickly deliver what was missed. Then you have a happy customer who comes back. You lost a customer today and it’s just silly.

I am a big fan of Jersey Mikes because I had often visited the Westwood location which treated its customers and food first rate. Expected the same from the SM location… nope. Got home with my sandwich, unwrapped it, and was so so so disappointed. It had very little meat, very little everything. Does not compare to the Westwood location…

My experience at Jersey Mike’s in Santa Monica was phenomenal. As always, it is nice to see the meat sliced in front of you, but to top it off… EVERY single member of the staff was smiling and happy. My sandwich tasted good, and it was nice to sit down and enjoy a delicious cold sandwich on a hot Southern California day! And if that isn’t enough, I was given a complimentary cookie:) I’m sure the cashier had no way of knowing that a cookie is the way to my heart… But it certainly sealed the deal right then that I would write a review!

Great service, staff works well together helping each other to assure customer orders are completed as request wants to give A+ to management. And my sandwich was perfect just the way I ordered it.

Definitely a higher quality sandwich than Subway. Down the street from the famous Bay Cities Deli this place is worth a try. What stands out here besides the food is the service. Tucked away in a nice center with parking underground, the employees go above and beyond to make you fee at home… doing their best to remember your name if you’re a return customer. Jersey Mike’s is trying to make its claim in the sandwich world and its bringing quality ingredients and friendly service to Santa Monica. They also do some grassroots marketing and focus their efforts on being a community partner. The cheesesteaks are good and I want to try to cold subs next time. People are willing to pay more for a quality product and that trend is here to stay. Hope Jersey Mike’s continues to grow because it’s focus is in the right place.

These guys rule. I go here all of the time and everyone is so nice. They always get my sandwiches right and always make me smile every time I go in. They recently stopped offering ketchup, so I talked to the manager and jokingly demanded that they bring back the ketchup. Usually these types of things fall on deaf ears, but I went today and they brought back the ketchup!!! A small gesture, but meaningful none the less.

My fiancé and I recently got a coupon for Jersey Mike’s, and never having been, figured we would give it a try. We’ve been loyal to Subway but recently after two accounts of food poisoning, have been looking for another place instead! The menu was a little confusing at first, but James and Aldo were so helpful and a total delight! We felt welcomed and so taken care of. The service from those two was absolutely top notch. Our food was fantastic quality, exceptional, and the portions for price are better than Subway. We could never go there again after eating here! If it’s your first time going, mention that, and you can get a free cookie too! Overall, wonderful experience. I highly recommend!

I had never been to a Jersey MIke’s Subs before last week and while I wasn’t totally turned off — I won’t be rushing back. Yes, they freshly slice the meat in front of you — but so does Ralph’s when you order a sandwich at their deli. The bread is ok but it’s comparable to Subway or Quizno’s. To me — it’s just a different name for the same ol’ American sandwich chain. Bay Cities may be pricier and take longer — but it’s worth it. Jersey Mike’s isn’t bad — but it’s not great either. Save your money and make a sandwich at home.

The service is so bad its like you’re being punked. Its always that bad so I should have stopped coming here a while ago. Tried again tonight. Ordered a #17ONLINE so I wouldn’t have to wait.(It takes literally 20 minutes if you don’t order online) Ordered at 6pm. Website said it would be ready at 6:10. I got there at 6:25 and guess what? — They hadn’t even started it yet! A single sandwich. Then the cashier couldn’t figure out how to give me a refund. I left with nothing. For $ 12. The only reason I didn’t freak out and burn the place down is cause I thought Ashton Kutcher was going to jump out and surprise me.

I used to have a coworker who would eat a Jersey Mike’s sandwich everyday at work like it was her last meal and one day out of extreme curiosity I asked her to get me one too. That was back when I lived in Orange County and I didn’t have a Jersey Mike’s near me so it wasn’t really practical for me to drive long distance for a sandwich. But when I moved to Santa Monica, lol and behold, there was a Jersey Mike’s walking distance to my new abode and work. My favorite sandwich is the turkey and provolone sandwich. I am particular when it comes to turkey and I really like the turkey here. I can’t really explain why because it’s not gourmet turkey or anything, but just really good. I get mine made the Jersey Mike’s way and add jalapenos and cherry peppers for a little kick. The Kahuna Grande and Cheesesteak are really good here too, but the turkey is my favorite. They also have a loyalty program where you can earn free food and they constantly email coupons(free chips/drink with purchase of a sandwich). I always order online because the line can be a pain at this location and then pick it up. The place gets pretty crowded for lunch for make sure to consider that if you’re on a time crunch.

Haters gonna hate. I haven’t written a review in years but after seeing all of the cranky people complaining about this place, I decided I needed to give my two cents. I come here nearly every day during the week. The line always moves fast, the ingredients are fresh, and the employees are friendly. I’ve ordered just about everything on the menu and I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. My personal favorite is the #7(Turkey) and I get it with American cheese and I add avocado. They cut the meats in front of you and the bread is always fresh. This place is nothing like Subway. I like their subs better than Bay Cities Deli because I’m not a fan of the BDC bread. I think the BCD bread is great when it’s hot and you can dip it in oil, or if you want a hot sub, but by the time it gets made into a cold sub, the bread develops a skin that’s too tough for my liking. If you walk in here convinced all chains are evil and disgusting, you aren’t going to have a great experience because yes, Jersey Mike’s is a chain and no, the people working there weren’t plotting all week to ruin your day.

Hit or miss Almost always a mess behind the counter. Run out of bread before closing on more than one occasion. The two stars are for how much I love a good hero

Wow. This is one of those odd Twilight Zone-ish experiences that while it’s happening, you’re just like looking around for someone normal to make eye contact with so they can confirm what you’re experiencing is NOT normal. 1. Staff attitude: More than one, two, three, etc people have commented on the FEMALE staff member or members here having an attitude problem. Let’s just call it what it is — rudeness. They talk to other staff members and customers like we’re privileged to be sharing the same air with them. Male staff were not much better but not half as rude. 2. Staff competency: You see 5 people all sort of in between hanging out, and working to varying degrees. They seem disorganized and generally disinterested in their work. Again — a very«we’re doing you a favor by moving» sort of feel. I watched one guy make 4 orders at one time even though some people where clearly there first. The result is a uniform sort of mess, where you don’t get your sub the personal attention you wish it would have and everyone has to wait for everyone else — what a waste of my time. He drenched it with various sauces/vinegar, etc. and piled so much crappy shredded lettuce that I think they may want to add«lettuce sub» to the menu. To top it off, an extreme amount of salt which I can still take in mouth right now and made the sub wholly inedible. 3. Bread: Tasted ok. Whoever is the manager here needs to be fired. New staff with better training may save this place although with Bay Cities across the street, why anyone would come here outside of a Monday — I really don’t know.

Glorified Subway… Gettouta here with your BS marketing of cold cuts in a meat fridge dispaly as if we’re in a real deli… I think I rather have Subway. At least they don’t pretend to be anything more. If you do want a REAL sandwich around Northridge, go to San Carlo’s Italian Deli. They have display of meat cuts like this place, except they actually have real quality product.

There’s no doubt Jersey Mike’s makes some delicious sandwiches but I wish the prices were a little better($ 5+ for a mini sandwich). It’s hard not to compare JM’s to chain joints like Subway and Quizno’s but the food here is definitely a step up. The bread is soft and flavorful and the Jersey Shore’s Favorite(Provolone, ham and cappacuolo) is really yummy. This is definitely a nice place to grab a cheap-er eats than most of what is offered in Santa Monica!
