This place used to be amazing. I’m Polish and we picked up our essential holiday foods twice a year ever since we moved to LA. They were authentic and delicious. Then the original owners sold the business. And even though they spent a year learning from the original owners, they have pretty much changed everything and it’s terrible. There is no other place to get authentic Polish Food in LA. So yeah, not thrilled about our holidays being ruined.

Best frozen pierogis in Polish friend recommended them to me 8 years ago. Been coming back ever since.

I got the turkey and gouda cheese sandwich with a side of German potato salad. I liked it! The sandwich is very simple, just the meat, cheese, mayo and mustard. I would come back.

I visited this store several times in 2014 and 2015, and I have to say that I was very happy to find a Polish store in Los Angeles! I lived in Krakow for 6 months and I cannot live for too long without kabanos, kielbasa, and other polish foods. This store offers a decently large selection of mostly Eastern European items. The service has always been pretty fast for me and the store staff is always friendly and even speaks Polish! The bad thing about this store is probably the price. I went several to buy Polish food in Chicago, and prices there are much better for the same items. Nevertheless, I would still describe the quality/price ratio of this place as positive. Finally, this store even allows to sample some of their food before you buy it so you should definitely take advantage of that and discover some cool new stuff! Overall, my experience with J & T European Gourmet Food was very positive and I would recommend this store if you’re looking for Eastern European items. Feel free to message me for any additional details that you may need!

I’ve been so delighted to find a good Polish shop nearby! The kielbasa is very good– my favorite is the biala– and it is so nice to find imported spice packets for many popular dishes. The best offering here, hands down, is their paczki, which they just started selling for Fat Tuesday this year– the only place around that has them!

This place is great. They have plenty of European products and amazing sausage. They have sandwiches now and the Hungarian is awesome. Great candies and beers. The kielbasa is perfect for the grill and I never go to he beach without it. Stop in. You won’t be disappointed

LOVE this place. I can’t believe I found some great Polish food here. Chicago I have no problem but here? I was stunned at the quality and taste. The service is great, you can tell the people working there love it. I’ll be back again soon. Thanks!

Love that we found this place! Reminds me of the foods I grew up on. Authentic polish foods and they craft most of their own sausages too. Staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant and even let us sample some things before purchasing. Will definitely be back for more next time I am in town!

Picked up some paczki(Polish jelly donuts) for Fat Tuesday! Also got some yummy sausages(fresh white and kabanos, smoked hunter sausage), some poppy seed and walnut strudel, some Ukrainian style canned vegetables, and some Eastern European bread. They also have German and Polish beers.

Where is the kielbasa I see on the pictures? Where is the fresh food? I stopped by on Sunday morning, everything looked very old. I asked the guy if he spoke polish, he just gave me a weird look and said no. I didn’t feel welcome, he didn’t feel like standing up, sat behind the deli counter. I’m sorry, I was looking forward to going there, drove an hour, just to get there and to get really disappointed.

If you’re planning on having an Oktoberfest party, this is the place to go to stock up on your mustards, sauerkraut, pickles, and beers! I’ve been to other speciality stores for similar items that charge $ 1-$ 2 more for the items I’ve mentioned. It’s not cheap here but definitely better pricing and you can’t beat the variety of house made sausages and other speciality items like the weekend special meat loaf for the price and quality! I only purchased some Kabanos on my first visit, but would definitely come back if in the area. Price: $ 7.99 a pound for Kabanos sausage(1 lb = 3 long sausages) «The Good»: friendly service and extremely generous samples of anything in the counter if you ask for it. Sausages are all made in house fresh every few days and the price really can’t be beat for the quality. «The Bad»: getting service can be a bit slow, waited for 15 minutes because we thought there was only 1 person working, but that 1 person decided to ask for help in the front after seeing us wait that long and the next thing you know 2 more employees came out to help.

This place is the BEST for hard to find Polish meats! I’m from Toledo, OH where the local Polish-Americans eat the white, garlic kielbasa. I couldn’t find it in LA to save my life. Then, I attended the Polish Festival in September and THEYHADIT! They were kind enough to clue me in on who supplies them. Yeah, it’s a hike if you don’t live anywhere except Santa Monica, but it’s WORTHIT! They also have beer, chocolate, and other fun goodies from Poland, Germany, etc. I stop in every time I’m in the area. ;)

This place is legit. Born and raised in Chicago, I’m used to seeing an abundance of Polish and other Eastern European delis around town. Sadly, this is missing in L.A., but J&T is the place to go when you need an assortment of smoked meat. They have an entire wall of sausage links behind the counter — probably around 10 varieties. Their kielbasa is really great. They also sell Polish beer, fantastic frozen pierogies(made in Chicago!), other traditional deli items, and more. I think they get their breads and pastries from a European bakery in the Valley, but they always look good. Every time I’m in here, I’m the only one not speaking Polish.

So me and my boyfriend were trying to find a legit deli for sliced meat and inspired by Andrew Zimmern we wanted to try head cheese. well more like my boyfriend wanted to try head cheese. We searched it up and came upon this deli and drove through traffic just to get here. Unbelievable. Their meats and service was so fantastic. We ordered a few slices of several meats, I don’t even know the name of the meats but if you ask her to give you the most popular ones, she will deliver. After we went back to our car to try the slices, we had to go back again to get some more. YUM!!! Oh and the worker there is so pleasant. She was very helpful. The headcheese tasted good. The texture was interesting. Anyway, all in all, great deli.

Love the finds here: lots of rye bread pumpernickel house-made headcheese tongue headcheese($ 5.99 lb) Garlic ham is the bomb Pâté Mushroom Pâté Lisner(brand) herring fillets in creamy dill sauce, chile oil, or vinegar/sugar/salt licorice flavored candies cake loaves dipped in chocolate Lots of jarred pickles. In the freezer there is Flaki, beef tripe soup($ 5.25 quart). It’s got a great collagen coating mouthfeel and extremely tender and clean tripe bits, but the spice is very flat for me. Just a slight slight bitter offal flavor and paprika. I’ve never had Polish or Eastern European food, so maybe i’m just used to more intense flavors like lime in sopa de mondongo.

From the beautiful smiling girl working behind the counter, who kindly explains the products they have available(with free samples), to the home made bigos(hunters stew) this place is the genuine article and a jewel. Their sausages are flawless, their pierogis and uszka hit the spot, and the Bigos… I genuinely can’t say enough wonderful things about it. I don’t have a polish grandmother, but I can imagine I’d be fortunate if she made food like this. If you live anywhere near the area, you owe it to yourself to sample their wares. Quality eastern european food at incredibly reasonable prices.
