Claire Pearce Hair Extensions

This is my first time getting extensions and I have to say, I love it! I’ve had fine, thin hair all my life and I was ready for a change. I could tell claire was a professional who knew what she was doing from the consult. She did an amazing job with my extensions. She even checked in on me a few days later to see how I liked my hair. I’d highly recommend her to anyone interested in getting extensions.

I had completely destroyed my hair by attempting to go lighter, and I thought I was going to have to get it all chopped off. Fortunately, I talked to Claire on the phone and she was able to quickly get me an appointment for a consultation. I was interested in getting extensions, but my hair was such a mess, I wasn’t even sure what was possible. Claire sat down with me, made her recommendations on what I should do to fix my hair and explained everything in detail. I ended up getting a keratin treatment, color, hair extensions and a cut, and my hair has never looked better! I got this done a month ago, and I absolutely love everything about it! y hair had been drying frizzy and it was unmanageable, but after Claire did her magic, I am now able to wash my hair and let it air dry and it looks perfect! I can also style it however I want. I have received so many compliments on my new hairstyle. I know I will continue to trust Claire with all of my future hair needs, and I absolutely recommend her for anyone looking for hair extensions, keratin treatments, color, or haircuts!

My hair was previously over-​processed due to multiple highlights that I had. It was so damaged I hated to brush my hair so much because it would hurt my head and scalp. On top of that, my highlights somewhat turned yellow/​orange and it was not attractive anymore. I was hesitant at first to get a haircut because I loved my long hair so much. However, I finally decided to let Claire cut whatever is necessary so I can brush my hair without frustration. Not only she gave me such gorgeous haircut without being to short, she also treated and toned my hair so it looks and feels so much healthier. Amazing color too. I have been receiving daily compliments from my Husband, my friends, and even from strangers. I love brushing my hair now. Thank you Claire! You are my hair hero!

I know I’m going to be the wound on Claire’s perfect 5-​star review record, but my experience with Claire was not very good.
The whole process of hair extensions cost near $ 1000, which was fine, we talked about that beforehand. But for that amount of money I expect really good service and someone who is a professional.
After they were put in, the hair extensions looked fine, they matched my hair, I was happy with the look. But I had a bad reaction to them almost immediately — my head was very itchy and I was getting welts on my scalp. I also found some black extension hairs, like Asian hair, that looked plastic (my hair is blonde). So I went back to show Claire and she told me to buy a certain skin sensitive shampoo and said the black hairs can sometimes happen because the extension hair is dyed. She cut some of the black hairs out. Okay.
Then the extensions started falling out, carrying a lot of my hair with them. I called Claire and she said this was normal. I looked it up online and she was right — it was normal to lose hair that would have fallen out anyway, but it can’t fall out because it’s in the bond of the extension.
But as the extensions kept falling out, and I was looking at chunks of my own hair coming with it, I felt like it wasn’t normal. It seemed like a lot. I texted Claire — nicely and politely. She proceeded to get very annoyed with me — she left me a voicemail telling me I was «stressing her out.» She said she «didn’t have a work phone so she was getting these messages on her personal cell and it was stressful.» Okay? How is that my fault? She said if I wanted to come get the extensions removed I could (for a price). But that I needed to stop bothering her about it. She wasn’t taking me seriously and was treating me like an idiot.
Needless to say, I went to another place (Irene at Jade Design Studio — who is awesome btw) to get them removed. Irene drove to a supply store in Hollywood on a Saturday to get the bond remover I needed — and didn’t charge me for it. Once all the extensions were out, Irene pointed out that I had small bald spots throughout my head. Obviously this is not normal.
I’m not saying my particular bad reaction to the extensions was Claire’s fault. She probably put them in fine. What I am saying is that she handled me as a client very poorly.
I’ve never written a Unilocal review, it took me a year to write this. But I’ve never been so disappointed with a hair stylist or a professional.

3 weeks before my wedding I got extensions put in. However, they were done poorly and looked really really awful! I freaked out and went in search of someone who could help me! Luckily I found Claire on Unilocal and her reviews looked promising. I went in for a free consult with Claire and she automatically won me over. She spoke confidently and with experience and said she could help fix my extensions before my wedding day. And boy did she ever! She added more extensions in to where they needed to be, matched my color better than it was before and cut the extensions so they blended well with my existing hair & extensions. I walked away very happy. My hair looked beautiful and I can say my wedding day hair was perfect because of Claire! I will definitely be returning to Claire for all my extension needs and will always recommend her to others.

After having gone to at least 5 different colorists and had many highlight misfires, I stumbled upon Clair. That was over 8 years ago and I’ve never been anywhere else since! She is truly amazing and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Amazing. Cut. Color. Simply wonderful! I have been seeing Claire for years, she did my wedding hair, and I have followed her where ever she goes (love Tosca) and will continue to be a loyal customer. I have thick wavy hair and she gets it. Her expertise and knowledge keeps me from looking like Mess Head! My last cut (couple weeks ago) has been getting praise from my friends and associates — and who doesn’t like having a good hair day! Oh, that’s another thing: up keep sooooo simple!

I’m a beauty blogger and I’ve had extensions quite a few time before — and decided to try out Claire’s service because she had excellent reviews, reliable (returned my messages promptly) and sounded warm and friendly. I was not disappointed.
After a complimentary consultation, she picked out my hair and got a deposit from me and we booked a date (today). She was fast and skilled and the extensions looked fabulous! I got compliments from a lot of passersby on my way home — I’m so happy to find her!
Update — I can tell the hair is of good quality — after several washings and torture sessions with the blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron — the hair still looks and feels soft, glossy and bouncy.
Pricing — Good hair extensions are not cheap. Some salons charge in the 4-​figure range as they take hours to put in. (quality hair + hourly charge = $$$) So having said that, Claire’s prices are reasonable when compared across the board.

My hair got seriously damaged recently, so I starting looking into extensions. I was nervous about causing more damage… I scheduled a consultation with Claire and she was awesome, answering all my questions. I got them done last week and I am so happy. I highly recommend Claire she did a great job!

I recently decided to look into hair extensions but I wanted to be sure I didn’t damage my existing hair. After doing a lot of web research, i decided to go see Claire based on all her good reviews online. Upon meeting her, she was very good at listening to my concerns and spent the time to investigate what would work best with my thin hair. A few weeks later I had them put in and am so thrilled! It’s only been a week but everyone has complemented them and i love having the longer hair. My co-​workers can’t tell what’s different which makes me happy. :) Only that my hair looks great! Claire’s been fantastic with following up and making sure i’m 100% happy with them. Look forward to going to her for years to come!

Claire did a stellar job with my hair extensions. I got rave reviews on my hair from my husband and all my co-​workers after she did my hair. Not only did she enhance my hair with extensions, but she also gave a me a flattering new style. One of my co-​workers commented that I look so much younger because of my new hair style. I highly recommend Claire for extensions and an upgraded style.

I just had hair extensions put in by Claire and they are FLAWLESS! I’ve had extensions before, but she put them in with such attention to detail and it was completely painless. People that don’t know me have no idea that it’s not really my gorgeous hair, and those friends that know I used to have short hair are in awe at how it’s done because it looks completely seamless and natural. She matched my hair perfectly and finished it with a great cut. My new hair makes me feel so much more feminine and confident, and I can’t help but love everyone at work gushing about my new ‘do :)
